ParticipantGotta love how we’ve all been scratching our heads trying to figure out, “Wonder how the Giant could possibly open a portal to SB?” Turns out it’s Cora doing it for him, in the opposite direction.
Gregory is a masculine first name. It is derived from the Latin name “Gregorius”, which was from the late Greek name “Γρηγόριος” (Grēgorios) meaning “watchful, alert” (derived from Greek “γρήγoρηῖν” “grēgorein” meaning “to watch”).
Through folk etymology, the name also became associated with Latin grex (stem greg–) meaning ‘flock’ or ‘herd’. This association with a shepherd who diligently guides his flock contributed to the name’s popularity among monks and popes.

Gee, ABC thanks for ruining the suspense on the Giant subplot! Not that I’m particularly interested in seeing him again, but I don’t want to read that he comes to town unleashing his vengeance and then he decides to befriend everyone in the same synopsis.
For real. 😆 We kinda already knew he’d end up being buddies with the good guys though, given that we know that Charming was helping him by pulling him out of a hole.

Worried about Hook. No spoilers, no mention….not even in promos.
There were photos of him on set when they were shooting Tiny. He appeared to be in the same area where they were filming the Giant being pulled out of the hole.

As per that post that EvilQueen linked to up thread, I’m currently TeamWizard, because the license plate clues seem to potentially point to an association with Wizard of Oz.
I’m hoping for a Wizard of Oz storyline soon, so I hope you’re right. Would you mind explaining what is the Wizard connection with the plate, as I have no idea what it is. Thanks
Click the link in EvilQueen’s post on the first page of this thread and it’ll take you to the 4th page of the other thread. My post about the license plate is at the top of that page, so you don’t have to read the whole thread and risk seeing anything potentially spoilerish.

However, what happens if Rumple kills himself with the dagger? Will that completely destroy the Dark One and break the cycle,
That would be a reasonable assumption. However, I think it’d be impossible for the Dark One to stab themselves and end it all. If it was possible, then Zozo would have done himself in, because it seemed like he was pretty desperate to be set free, but he still couldn’t do it himself so made Rumple do it for him. The Dark One Curse is like a parasite with an iron grip on its host, and it takes over and refuses to allow the host to expel it.

So excited about Rena Sofer as Snow White’s mother on Once Upon a Time. Is there anything you can share about her role? — Phyllis
NATALIE: Executive producer Adam Horowitz confirms that Queen Eva has a “surprising connection to someone else in our world.” If your first guess is Cora — since it seems likely that the Evil Queen’s evil mother may have had a hand in Queen Eva’s death — you may be in for a treat. “That would be a feud that goes back so long,” executive producer Edward Kitsis says. But what you may find more interesting? “You would think it would be easy to be Snow White’s mother, but perhaps Snow White wasn’t always Snow White,” Kitsis says.http://www.tvguide.com/News/Mega-Buzz-Bones-Greys-NCIS-Spoilers-1059174.aspxI have such a love/hate relationship with K&H. Screw them and their vague, suggestive answers! 😛 😆

ParticipantI can’t see Rumple ever having done the rumpy-pumpy with Cora, not even in a friends with benefits capacity. I could maybe see Cora having tried to seduce him, because power turns her on big time, but I can’t imagine he’d have actually gone there, and will be shocked if it turns out he did.

Hook is not on anyone’s side but his own. He teams up with whichever side benefits him most. He would’ve preferred to team up with Emma because she was heading to Storybrooke and he considered her safer company than Cora. Had Emma not left him at the top of the beanstalk, Hook probably wouldn’t have gone back to Cora.
Agreed. I’m wondering if perhaps he was really relieved to have had another option pop up in Emma and Co, because it meant that once he got to SB, he wouldn’t have Cora around with her own agenda there cramping his style.
It wouldn’t surprise me if he joins TeamCharmings in the near future. As long as they can learn to trust him, he’d be a valuable tool in their fight against Cora.

ParticipantTrue, I guess maybe she did originally come from another realm, and relocated. I expect they’ll delve into her history some more in the future, so guess we’ll see eventually.

I’ve seen the theory that Cora could have been Oz’s Wicked Witch. Hadn’t put much stock in the idea, but might have to give it some consideration now.
That is an interesting theory. In We Are Both when Regina got the spell book from Rumple, when he warned her about the spells she said “I don’t care if it turns me green.” At the time, I thought it was just an Oz reference. However, consider this, that scene was about all how Regina was becoming like Cora. There’s fridge logic for you. Suddenly Cora being the Wicked Witch of Oz is quite plausible. What’s the odds that she was the reason why the tinman had no heart, she ripped it out of him.
You’d think that the Tinman having no heart must be related to the heart ripping we’ve seen so far. We can rule out Regina doing it, because she didn’t have the skill yet at the time of Dorothy’s story, as evidenced by Jefferson telling Rumple that the slippers he was after had moved on.
So either Rumple had been to Oz at some point before that, and had ripped out Tinman’s heart, or the only other suspect is Cora having been there.
Another suggestion I saw regarding the Wicked Witch theory was that she was protecting herself from getting wet by the rain with an umbrella at the bottom of the beanstalk. But that argument isn’t really relevant now, given that she had no fear of unplugging a lake and jumping into a portal through it.

After the Dorothy incident, the Wizard left and came here, waiting for Cora. This may be a big stretch, but it might answer why he was traveling through that part of Maine.
Yes, there’ll have to be some explanation as to why he was heading into town at this particular point in time. I’d previously been thinking that Embry’s character was someone who knows Neal, so the curse being broken would explain the timing of his arrival. But maybe it’s Cora’s arrival that’s lured him there?
I’d posted in another thread, wondering if Cora could have orchestrated the car going out of control because Hook was about to get blasted by Rumple and she didn’t want that to happen so she used the approaching car to interrupt proceedings. But maybe, if she did have anything to do with that car crash, (which she may not have, but now that I’ve had the idea, I’m just gonna run with it for a moment), it was because she sensed her old buddy the Wizard was coming, and she wanted to eliminate him so he didn’t get in the way of her master plan. Perhaps?

ParticipantFrankenstein’s world must have been accessible through the hat, because Jefferson was the one who brought him to and from FTL. Horowitz has tweeted that his world DID have magic, it’s just that he didn’t know it.
Pretty sure K&H confirmed in an interview, or maybe it was their podcast, that the hat Emma made did NOT work. I suppose that doesn’t necessarily mean that it couldn’t be made to work, but as it stands right now, the hat Emma made does nothing, and who knows if it’ll ever be brought up again.
