ParticipantCute Cat Picture:
As both a cat person and an Aussie, I feel pretty confident in saying that’s a platypus.
About the possibility of Neal ever even being mentioned again, I confess I do wonder if his name might come up somehow when August returns. But we don’t have any idea what his arc will involve, do we, so maybe they’ll still be able to avoid any reference to his run in with Neal.
PS. Don’t think the day has quite arrived over there yet, but it’s half over here, so Happy Birthday to Jo! š

ParticipantAnd then itās the finale!!
And you just know they’re gonna leave us on some big, shocking, twisty, cliffhanger type final scene, and we’ll suffer physical pain at the thought of waiting for FOREVER until the premiere of S2.

ParticipantAnd I think the kids are going to try to save Nate
I’m curious to see what happens with Nate next.
The reason that Annalise framed him was because the cops were starting to get close to potentially busting the kids, and Annalise herself. As long as the cops keep on believing that Nate is guilty, the rest of them are in the clear. So it’s not really in any of their best interests to help Nate get out of jail. I think Annalise needs Nate to go all the way and be convicted, otherwise the cops will keep prying, trying to find the real culprit.
I could however imagine them trying to get the crime he’s accused of downgraded, (that is if they’re even allowed to be a part of his case at all, due to the public knowledge of his affair with Annalise). I’m gonna guess that right now he’d be charged with First Degree Murder? Which might get him the death penalty? And I’m confident that Annalise doesn’t want that, no matter how desperately she needs him to be convicted of the murder, so angling for a lesser charge might be the way to go.
Of course, there’s always the possibility that one of the kids will feel guilty that Nate’s taking the fall for them and try to defy what Annalise is trying to do to protect them.

ParticipantMe watching the end of the ep:
OMG THEY FOUND THE RING.
But will it be THE ring?
Showing Michael’s immediate freakout surely means it’ll be Sam’s wedding ring instead, didn’t Annalise have it?
I KNEW IT, IT WASN’T MICHAELA’S RING.
You didn’t fool me, Show, I see you.
OMG WUT FRANK PLANTED THE RING AND THEY FOUND A FINGERPRINT ON IT.
Would Frank slip up like that though?
Isn’t Frank smarter than to leave his OMG WHOSE FINGERPRINT IS HE STEALING?
O_________O
OK Show, you done got me that time.
*spends half an hour trying to collect the pieces of my blown mind*
With the case of the week being about someone selling out the Mob family, I had a feeling we’d see someone sold out in regards to Sam’s murder. But I did not expect that. Holy crap, Annalise is legit framing Nate, someone who I believe does really care for her, and she for him, but she promised to protect the kids, and she’s gotta stay true to that promise above all else, even if it means throwing NATE under the bus.
Ho. Ly. Crap.

ParticipantHook and Belle search for a way to release the fairies from the Sorcererās hat,
One of the little things I have actually appreciated is that Belle throws shade at Hook just about any time they interact, which is fitting because, ya know, those multiple violent attacks he subjected her to that could have killed her multiple times. If they’re now just being buddy buddy and working together and she’s cool with him, I’ll be annoyed. Also, if everyone isn’t aware that he’s the one who put the Fairies into the Hat in the first place, I’ll be annoyed. And if they do know but he just gets a free pass because “Rumple made me do it,” I’ll be annoyed.

ParticipantRG, I’m so very sorry for your loss. š Our pets are really little furry people who are a part of our family, and I know how rough that loss can be, so take all the time out you need. *BIG HUGS*

ParticipantI am firmly in the Wes is Annaliseās kid corner. Ā I thought that in December and I havenāt changed my mind.
URGH, GAH. DO. NOT. WANT. I’ve always read the tension between them as sexual, whenever they share a scene alone I’m thinking, “Oh just start making out already,” so if it turns out they’re mother and son I will need ALL THE BRAIN BLEACH. From what little I’ve seen of the fandom, there seems to be a divide of people who see it as parental and people who see it as sexual. I happened to catch an ep of Entertainment Tonight recently where they had Alfie in the studio and the host actually asked him about the sexual tension between Wes and Annalise and are they gonna do it. His answer was that Annalise has sort of a maternal role in how she protects him, so he’d be surprised, but that the show is full of surprises so you never know. Whether or not it was their original intention, the fact that so many people DO perceive their relationship as having sexual undertones makes me think they might not go in the direction of making them mother and son, because really who wants to risk getting press for what could be perceived as something incestuous?
What I wouldn’t mind is if it turned out that RUDY was her long lost son, and she knows something happened to him but doesn’t know what. She wanted to keep control over the suspected crime scene, so she sought out a promising student and saw to it that he was set up in Rudy’s old apartment, hoping that somehow Wes would be able to eventually help her to put some pieces together to help her figure out what happened to Rudy.

Seriously, if they’d been half the size and half the price, I’d be the proud owner of a bison statue right now.

ParticipantOK, I’ve collected the pieces of my brain now, so here are some more coherent thoughts…
Michaela…I think she’s gonna end up being thrown under the bus. I’ve thought for ages that her ring was in a bag of Sam, and now the bags of Sam have been found. In the promo for the next ep it looks like they’ll find the scales off the trophy, so they might start to suspect that that’s the murder weapon. Everyone knows that Michaela took the trophy from Asher that night. So if the ring does turn up with Sam, those bits of info go together to make Michaela shoot to the top of the suspect list.
Now, if the ring DOES show up in a bag of Sam, I have to wonder if Wes put it there. One of the things Annalise has taught them is to establish another suspect, so as the murderer it’d be smart for Wes to plant some evidence that could point towards someone else, like an insurance policy in case Sam’s remains were ever found.
So that brings me to Wes, and how they’re putting focus back on Rudy and the scratches. Rudy’s own grandmother doesn’t even know he’s moved? I’m starting to wonder if Rudy is dead, and that will be the big murder mystery for S2?
Laurel putting the smackdown on her awful family like that almost made me cheer. LOL Her smirk as she was walking out was awesome. Can someone please give her cute brother my number?
I’m gonna guess that Laurel was right when she was suspicious about how much Frank’s been hanging out with Asher. I think it’d make sense if Frank had been tasked with sticking close to Asher so he can sound the alert if it looks like he’s about to do or say something that might implicate one of the others, so Annalise can get a heads up and run damage control. Frank seems to be the damage control guy, what with the fake phone call and disposing of Connor’s car.
I don’t want to feel sorry for Asher, because URGH, but I actually kinda felt sorry for him a bit because I do think he genuinely had his heart stomped on by Bonnie.
Connor, man, poor Connor, and poor Oliver. Seeing as how I know Connor’s side, and how he’s legit felt something for someone for the first time ever and that’s a major thing he’s having to come to terms with, (I almost wanted to cry when he was telling his sister that he has a boyfriend, even though he doesn’t really, but he wants Oliver to be his boyfriend so badly), and I know that the reason he’s lying to Oliver is because he doesn’t want him mixed up in the murder, so he’s trying to protect him…knowing all that, I can give Connor a bit of leeway for how he’s acting. But maaannnn, when Oliver said that thing about how, “what drugs are to you,” and I’m sitting there with my heart breaking because at some point he’s gonna find out that Connor’s totally been lying about having a drug problem. I mean really, Oliver deserves better than Connor. But I love how complex Connor is, and I want him to be happy. But Oliver is just so sweet, like, even when he’s trying to lay ground rules about how they’re NOT dating, he still tries to do it in a calm and sensitive way. GAH, I love them both and they make my heart hurt!
It’s a bit odd how openly Annalise and Nate discussed his wife, and how she knows, and she’s OK with it, and I think Annalise does have some genuine concern about his wife being OK, but yet she still goes and sleeps with her husband. It’s a total hot mess. LOL
Loved the dinner scene with Annalise pouring her heart out in the most honest (or should that be earnest?) way possible to Hannah. Seems like we’re gonna start hating Hannah pretty soon, but in this ep I couldn’t really blame her because I mean her brother just disappeared.
Loved the opening montage of Annalise on her Christmas and New Years bender. It was so sad seeing her completely melt down.
The case of the week was crazy and compelling. I’ve gotta think that how Annalise behaved has something to do with her own experience. Did she have a child that was taken from her at birth (if so please don’t let it be Wes because the sexual tension those two have will then TOTALLY SQUICK me out)?

ParticipantOMGAAAAHHH I just watched it and OMGAAAAHHH THAT ENDING. I mean obviously someone would find his remains at some point, but still, GAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!
