Yes that’s what I thought too. Though if he wants to deny that he’s Bae, he could say that he ran because he saw Emma, and could pretend he doesn’t recognise Rumple, in which case, they could use his dream catcher as proof.

In order to figure out conclusively if Jefferson is the White Rabbit, we really need info about the Once version of Alice. If she’s someone from our world, as in the original story, then Jefferson can’t be her WR, because his mode of realm jumping didn’t have contact with our world. If she was from some other magical world that Jefferson could access, then it’s entirely possible for him to be her WR.

But then there’s also the issue of where Alice fits in the timeline. Some have theorised that she was Jefferson’s wife, which would mean she came before he was stranded in Wonderland. I personally hope that her story comes after he was trapped, after he goes mad, so that they’re still able to stick with the story of Alice attending the Mad Hatter’s tea party. If so, then Jefferson couldn’t be her WR, because he was stuck in Wonderland when she travelled there.

The White Rabbit calling card, and Jefferson’s hat resembling a rabbit hole, could point towards him being the WR though.

We don’t know if Jefferson is the only one who had a realm jumping hat. There may have been others, or there may not. We do know that there were other means of jumping between worlds, even if you didn’t have the hat. Perhaps there’s not one specific WR in the Onceiverse. Perhaps WR is sort of a slang term for those who can realm jump by any means? A name they collectively adopted to describe themselves? It’d be a fitting name, given that they jump.

If that were the case, it’d allow for Jefferson to be classified as one, but would also leave the option open for someone else to be Alice’s specific WR, if she came from our world without magic, which Jefferson couldn’t access. It would also mean that Bae(/Neal?) could be classified as a WR, because he jumped between worlds. I dunno that I think Neal is the WR, from Alice’s story, though I know that part of that theory states that it explains the monicles hanging on his wall, under the “Hatters” sign, and that’s a reasonable connection to make, so I can see why people went there. Neal just doesn’t really strike me as having the right personality to be the WR from Alice’s story. He’s too mellow, and from memory, the WR in the story was a tad hyper. Perhaps we were supposed to make a WR/realm jumper connection with Neal though, and those things in his apartment were a hint that’s he’s Bae, who has realm jumped.

If Rumple was the Lion, and thus had contact with Dorothy, he’d have stolen her slippers, clicked his heels, and popped off to our world without a moment’s delay. I doubt he’d have gone to the trouble of disguising himself, posing as her friend, and then leaving without snagging the shoes. He clearly knew about them somehow, because he sent Jefferson to get them, but I doubt he’d ever had contact with them.

Also, now that I’m thinking of it, if Rumple were posing as the Cowardly Lion, that wouldn’t have been a meek, cowardly act, it would have been an aggressive one, and I’d like them to keep the Lion meek and cowardly. I hope that the Lion, Tinman and Scarecrow are all their own characters, legit residents of Oz, as opposed to a bunch of people we’ve already met in FTL who somehow also met up in Oz at just the right time to hang out with Dorothy. I’d think there’d likely be some connection to FTL, beyond the fact that Jefferson had travelled to Oz, but if they’re gonna make any Oz characters an extension of someone we’ve previously seen, I’d prefer it to be the witches, or the Wizard, instead of Dorothy’s three companions.

I’m not one to have dramatic Shippings of people in shows. Reason being is that I always try to predict what will happen next and unless I think of every possiblity even the ones which are not my favorite, I may not be able to come up with a more accurate idea of what I believe will happen next.

Speculation is half the fun with this show! 🙂 Two ships I’m currently intrigued by…Hook/Ariel and Mulan/Lancelot…and there’s no indication that either would ever happen, but my mind ran away with speculation and I decided they’d be great pairings. Doesn’t mean I’ll be offended and quit watching if it turns out that Hook isn’t Eric and Ariel wasn’t one of the Neverland mermaids, it’s just fun to come up with potential ideas, even if 90% of my ideas end up being wrong. The stuff K&H come up with is at least as good, if not occasionally better than what I come up with in my own head. 😉

You have to remember, too, that Eddie, Adam and the other writers are telling their version of the story. Not mine or the fans. There are so many differing opinions that I really feel they can’t appease different fan groups. They have to go with what they want to write.

Very much agree with that. Furthermore: As I see it, it is their work, they are the ones putting in many hours of work for this show and not us. Yes, they get paid for it, but that doesn’t make them slaves to our wishes. We don’t depend on watching the show, but they depend on their work. So whatever they do, whatever stories they write, I am sure they never do it without regards and respect to what fans and critics are saying about their work. But if they follow all voices they only can mess up, they have to make choices – and these choices will please some people and some not. Talking about ethics here? Alright, then we should show some respect for those putting in much hard work to create the stories we merely consume (and I think there are different reasons why people enjoy fiction, here in the form of a TV series, distraction is just one of them).

YES and YES! They’d have had an overall plot for the entire show since day 1, and they started developing the idea of this show before they even worked on Lost, so they’ve had it in mind for a long time, which means I’m confident that whatever route they take, it’s been very well considered, and it’ll serve their overall story as they see fit.

They can tweak stuff along the way, depending on fan reaction to certain characters, but I doubt they’d let fan opinion completely alter the story they had planned for any given character, and nor should they. Fans loved Graham, but from the beginning they’d written him knowing he was gonna fulfil a purpose and part of that purpose was for him to die. If they’d decided to go with how much the fans loved him, and kept him around instead, then we wouldn’t have been introduced to the phenomenon of heart crushing, (and heart taking and manipulation has become a vital theme on the show now), wouldn’t have seen that Regina brought over FTL keepsakes and was still able to wield some magic in SB with them, (which had to be established to set up her trying to get the hat to work with Jefferson), wouldn’t have seen the affect that Emma had on Graham’s memory, which proved she was a vital part of everyone getting their memories back. Did I wanna throw stuff at the screen and slap K&H upside the head when they killed Graham? Hell yes! But I can see that it was something they had to do for their story, so I can accept it.

So whatever couples they may or may not put together in the future, even if it’s something that doesn’t really work for me, I’ll still give anything a chance, because I trust that they know what they’re doing to tell their story effectively.

I personally feel that instead of messing with OUaT the fans should write their own stories… that would be of greater interest to me then writing about characters someone else invented. I personally find the story that is evolving on OUaT to my liking and do not need the match up that occur on the side.

It’s not messing with the show as long as people who indulge in fanfic appreciate it for what it is, and don’t confuse it with canon. If people want to use these characters as inspiration for a creative outlet of their own, then more power to them. Maybe some fanfic writers do write their own stories, maybe some are the great novelists or screenwriters of the future, and writing stories about their fave characters on a TV show is how they’re practising and honing their writing skills. Or maybe they’re just fans who get excited by characters they love and they write their own ideas down for the fun of it. Fanfic doesn’t hurt the show at all.

Actually, I don’t think she needs any guy in her life this season. She just got Henry back, she found her parents, was whisked away to another world, and now has to build a relationship with her father. She doesn’t need a romantic relationship to throw into the mix, even from Neal. I do really want to see him in her life, but I think they’ve got a lot to work out and it’s going to take a long time. I’d be disappointed if they jumped in the sack after one episode, or even this season. So despite the flirting, I can’t see her falling for Hook, either.

THIS. Girlfriend already has enough emo baggage to sort out, so she doesn’t need a relationship on top of it all at this exact point in time IMO.

That being said, I’m cool with it if CaptainSwan becomes a thing for a while at some point, and I’m also hoping SwanThief have a shot at rekindling what they once had. I suspect that SwanThief will be endgame, because they set it up so that those two particular characters found each other despite being born in completely different times and living in completely different worlds, so I think they’re ultimately destined to be. I hope they don’t have an easy go of getting to their happily ever after though. I wouldn’t mind at all if they hook her up with Hook for a bit in the meantime, (it may work quite well, if she’s scared of feelings she still has for Neal, so decides to throw herself at the badboy instead to distract herself), because I think there’s chemistry there, (JMo has chemistry with just about everyone, I may not ship SwanQueen, but I can see where people got the idea for it), and I do love me some Hook. I wouldn’t want anything to do with his type IRL, but when it comes to fantasy pretend boyfriends, I’m all about the broody, angsty types. The brothers Winchester on Supernatural make me swoooooon. Anyway, guess it’s lucky for me that I’m not hardcore about who I ship Emma with, so I’ll be along for the ride no matter who they stick her with whenever. 😉

Okay, that’s the last thing I’ll say about it. Now, back to Manhattan. One good thing does come out of this. It’s great to know people can leave Storybrooke. That, will continue to make things ever more interesting.

I hope that it’s only temporary or that Gold had to jump through A LOT of hoops to get through the barrier. I think if everyone can get out whenever they want, I’d be kind of afraid that a lot of people will want to scatter and I like the idea of Storybrooke being kind of isolated.

I hope it’s a very specific set of circumstances that allows Rumple to skip out of town this one time, and not something that any and all of them can do at any time. Hopefully it’s some sort of combo of magic within Emma and Henry, which is why they both go. I’d hope that Emma wouldn’t have taken Henry unless it was absolutely necessary. If she knew beforehand that the guy they’re looking for is his father, then I doubt she’d have taken him, considering she’s told him the guy is dead and all. And if she thinks they’re just looking for Rumple’s son, why would she have involved Henry unless he was some mysterious part of the equation. Unless he’s just a stowaway, which is also highly likely.

Emma saying: “You have the dream catcher. I can show you a trick.”

I guess if Neal tries to deny being Bae, Emma could snatch the dream catcher and do that trick – if the speculation about her using it on Pongo to retrieve his memories of what happens to Archie proves true – and then Neal couldn’t deny it any more. They’ve made a point of defining dream catchers as “flypaper for nightmares”, so Neal’s nightmare memories of being Bae should be contained in that thing hanging in his apartment.

We’ve got YoungCora, Katerina, (someone regal), Tamara, (likely Tiana) and Edith, (servant to a wealthy family) cast for this ep. The fact that they haven’t released the name of the actress cast for Katerina suggests to me that perhaps she bears a striking resemblance to Snow, and we know something happened to Snow’s mother, (I won’t believe she actually died until they show me a body), so she could be the Queen in the title. Or perhaps the King (George?) who YoungCora wanted to marry already had a wife, so she had to get rid of her? Would they kill off Cora in SB? I’d hope not.

I love how Adam’s got his cheery Christmas tweet and ends it all, “Oh PS. The Queen Is Dead.” Talk about killing the festive mood, dude. 😛

So many interesting options for what it could mean and which Queen it’s referring to. Hmmm.

I wonder if he was silent for the whole trip, dozing off, or blurting out directions. Google says it’s a 7 hour and 22 minute drive from Maine to Manhattan. The fact that everyone made it to NYC alive is magic in itself, I think.

Now I definitely want a roadtrip scene of Gold-Emma-Henry in that car. I really, really hope they don’t leave that out entirely.

I’d be more concerned about the ride back. Emma’s pissed at Neal. Neal’s still in shock after finding out about Henry (he’s not stupid and can count backwards) and pissed at Gold. Gold’s already trying to bridge the gap and doesn’t understand why Neal’s not pissed that Emma broke his nose (come on you know it will happen) and above all, Henry’s completely out of the loop because neither he nor Gold know about Emma and Neal’s past.

I hope the big reveal happens in the car. I can so see everyone talking at once and Emma’s like “I will stop this car and put you ALL out…”

Let’s hope they’re not road tripping in the Bug, coz I doubt that little car could contain that much angst. 😆
