ParticipantReading this post, I was thinking, “Hmm, dunno if they could pass for father and son.” Then clicked the link and saw the side by side pic they have of them, and uh, YEAH, they can totally pass for father and son.

ParticipantGoing back to this…
When I spoke to Colin O’Donoghue last week, he said that through episodes filmed to date, “Hook hasn’t had a huge interaction with many of the other characters” — possibly because he falls in with the wrong (meaning a righteous) crowd upon setting boot in the Maine burg.
There’s a post in the main forum that mentions a tweet between Colin and the hair/makeup people that said something like “the pirate has left the building.” In that thread, bec mentioned…
@bec wrote:Maybe that means that Hook is no longer a pirate since he is now in SB. Maybe now he has changed to fit in- as in changing his clothes etc.
…which led me back to wondering about this spoiler about him falling in with a certain bunch of people, and our speculation about him looking different to fit in.

But i am positive that he is not killed and will most likely never be killed. They are not going to build up this character and show his backstory, only to have him killed. It just doesnt make sense.
Exactly! They don’t hype up a character that much if they’re gonna kill him off after only half a season. They have big and awesome ideas for their version of Hook, and they’re gonna take a while to play out. Colin recently said he hasn’t shot any Neverland stuff yet, and do people honestly think they’re gonna show the guy going to Neverland then kill him off before showing him in Neverland? Surely there’ll be at least a couple of Neverland eps in the future, they will absolutely want to show Peter and Tink and the Lost Boys at some point, and Hook is obviously part of that story. K&H have said that Peter Pan is their fave story, so they’re not gonna kill off one of the main characters without telling his story.
We also need to see more of his history with Cora, we need to see his future in SB, particularly in relation to Rumple, Regina and Emma. We need to see how he traveled back to FTL from Neverland. We need to see how he learned that there was a weapon that can kill the Dark One. They’re only a couple of eps ahead with shooting at the moment, and all of the potential for Hook’s character simply cannot have played out in the space of a couple of eps.
And apart from all of that, Hook is such a hit with fans that it’d just be a stupid business move to get rid of him. Hook isn’t going anywhere any time soon, so people need to stop stressing!

ParticipantWish we knew more about how the Orges Wars went down. Was is just all the humans from all the kingdoms vs the orges? Because if so, then who would be taking POWs? Judging from what we’ve seen of ogres, they just wanna kill folks, not keep them prisoner. If the various human armies were also fighting against each other at some point, then I could see POWs being taken.
Maybe this kid is where Rumple gets his future seeing abilities from. I’ve never considered him a true future seer, but I know it’s been said that he can “glimpse” future events to a certain extent. If so, perhaps that’s a power he stole from someone.
I still can’t shake the nagging thought of this casting call being for a young Mulan, but that future seeing thing is a major glitch, unless it’s a power she used to have but has grown out of somehow. The bit about being defiant and fearless around soldiers would fit so well though. I could see how a kid who had been through that would grow into a warrior princess type.

Speaking of Barrett, here is a new spoiler about his character:
Question: Any fresh intel on who Ethan Embry is playing on Once Upon a Time? —Jenny
Ausiello: Jennifer Morrison knows about as much as the rest of us — which isn’t much. “[All we] know is he’s an outsider, he is a stranger and he is not a fairytale character,” she says, before quickly adding, “at least he’s not someone anyone recognizes from fairytale land.”Can just imagine Jennifer’s thought process, “Oh crap, did I just say he’s not a fairytale character? Adam and Eddy are gonna have my head. Ummm…OK, I can cover for this.” 😆 I’ve been hoping he’d be someone from our world, so hopefully that’s confirmation. Though it could genuinely mean that he’s a situation like Dr Whale, where he’s from another land, it’s just that no one recognises him, but I think it’ll be more interesting if he’s a real world person.
On Dec 2, Ethan tweeted this pic of the Entering SB sign…

…which is a reasonable indicator that whoever he is, he can come and go from town. And the caption he put on it, “Let the games begin,” is all sorts of intriguing.I’m guessing we’ll get a brief intro of Barrett in ep 11, much like we got with Neal, and it won’t be until a few eps later that he comes to town.

But I wonder what Neal is up too. Isn’t he supposed to try and find his own way to Storybrook. Now that he knows the curse is broken ??
One would assume he would. But I think it was Jane Espenson who cryptically tweeted someone something along the lines of, “You think he’ll go to SB?” So who knows if he will or not.

ParticipantEmma may not need to be “taught” as such, but I’m pretty sure Blue will try to guide her as to how her magic should be used.

ParticipantIf Cora had no further use for it she coulda dumped it anywhere. I do hope that Aurora has her actual heart back though, otherwise she couldn’t really be properly reunited with Phillip.
