Yes, that was one of my crackpottier theories. 😆 I’d had that Helena character pegged as being Aurora’s mother though. And this Katerina does sound very much like a potential MamaSnow. The name Katerina means “purity” BTW, which fits with “pure as the driven SNOW”. It’s a Greek name, which incidentally, so is Helena. So I may have to amend my theory a little, and say that perhaps Snow and Aurora are cousins, with their mothers being sisters…perhaps? Of course, Helena could be someone else entirely, and not related at all to the same story. The fact that both names are of Greek origin makes me suspicious though.
The age for Katerina, 40, if she’s Snow’s mother, do we think she would have been 40 when she died, or was lost, or whatever happened to her happened? Dunno why, but I’d always figured she’d have been a bit younger than 40. If we go with the theory of Snow and Aurora having the same mother, if we were to get a flashback to when Aurora was a little girl, then 40 would fit. She could have been “lost” to Snow and Leopold in her 30s, then started her new life and would have another young daughter (Aurora) by the time she was 40.
[adrotate group="5"]I’m now wondering if the stuff on Hook’s ship may be in a flashback. We haven’t seen any suggestion that he has his ship in present day FTL. If we’re gonna see FTL Regina – who may be Regina, or may be shapeshifting Cora – that must mean we’re going into FTL past, and I’m wondering if that may be around the time when Cora and Hook met, and possibly he helped her to kidnap Henry Sr. If so, then perhaps that’s when they were travelling around on his ship together, and the ship has nothing to do with present day portal jumping after all.

That’s a cool idea! You’re right, it would explain why Regina had seen her mother “dead”. Also, it’d add extra gravity to the scene where Mr Gold marks her in the jail cell, if she has personal experience with the Wraith in the past. Assuming Rumple was involved in that event, that would likely be the very same medallion that had been used on her mother.

I’m gonna make myself nuts trying to figure out what’s going on with whatever Regina and Mr Gold are doing. 😆 They’re underground, (and is that the Fairy Godmother’s wand that he’s playing with?), then they’re at the well, and Henry’s screaming, and Gold is all, “No one can get through,” and then Regina’s at the well, holding her hands over it, sucking up the power somehow…what’s with that, I wonder.

I like that even though we have no idea when they’re gonna do The Little Mermaid, that they’ve dropped little hints here and there, so it’s evident that those characters are entwined with this overall story, so they won’t feel out of place when they do show up.

OUAT is known for taking things from all kinds of things, I mean they even have a sprinkle of Greek mythology. If your theory about Barrett is correct, do you think he could be the sandman and that the netherworld is his home, or perhaps he rules it?
That’s a fun idea about him being the Sandman! He’s a character from folklore, so he’d fit right in.

Yeah, I doubt they’d have established that uber cool power of hers if we weren’t gonna see it again. So even if she’s not impersonating Snow in SB, I’ll be surprised if we don’t see her impersonating someone in SB.

I do agree that it’d be perfect symmetry for them to have Snow’s kiss wake him, but I still think the pic in the street doesn’t jive with that happening. For me, that pic looks like it was the whole bunch of them gathered wherever the portal was, and this is their triumphant return to town. It doesn’t seem like they made a pit stop somewhere to wake Charming up on the way, and then all went back to walking down the main street. Maybe I’m reading the photo wrong though, time will tell. Henry’s dressed the same in that pic as he is in the promo when he’s at the well with Regina and Rumple, so the scene in the street must come directly after that happens.
I could see Henry becoming so worried about Charming not waking up that he’ll kiss him in the hope it’ll work like when Emma woke him. They’ve established that true love’s kiss can be between family, so I could buy it if they did that again, with Henry paying it forward.
The interview bits do make it sound as though everyone is back. Whenever I thought of the imposter theory, I figured it wouldn’t be that long between the imposters showing up and then the real Snow and Emma following though, so I’d imagined there’d be two portal arrivals only a couple of eps apart, and depending on when the interviews were done, that could still potentially fit.
The thing is though, and I posted this in another thread too, that photo of them walking down the street looks like it happens right after they come through a portal and are freshly reunited, which means all the people in the pic were likely at said portal, which means Charming was already awake before Snow got there if he’s out wandering around town in his jacket already and was there to meet her. If that does turn out to be the case, then imposters or not, Charming somehow wakes up before Snow and Emma arrive.
