And THAT look Rumple gave Regina when he said the real monster (aka her mom) would be on its way to Storybrooke!

    Chills! Loved it!!

Also, if Prince Charming does indeed go under a sleeping curse, I think we can safely rule out the “impostor theory” once and for all since legit Snow would have to be back really soon to kiss Charming and release him from his slumber.

I thought he was saying that she’d kiss him in the actual netherworld, which would (hopefully) wake him up? Otherwise there’s no point to him going under, because he wouldn’t be able to relay any info back to SB. He needs to be awake in SB before she comes back to pass on info about what happened. “When I see her, she’ll kiss me, and I’ll be fine.” He wouldn’t be seeing her if she was kissing sleeping him in SB. If they meet in the netherworld, have a conversation, kiss goodbye, that’d wake him up, and he can tell Rumple and Regina what Snow said so they can make plans in SB.

I wonder what woke Aurora. Do we think it’s something big? Like a Zombie Army?

    I think so!

I actually do think Rumpel is a little afraid of Cora. He knows what she’s capable of, and the fact that she’s so hell bent on coming to Storybrooke is a bad sign. So, I don’t think he’s simply afraid of Cora changing the rules of the game. There are people that he loves that could be at risk. For all he knows, Cora could hurt Belle or slow down his search for Baelfire.

Yes, I think he’s wary and hastily making plans to protect himself and those he cares for. The fact that there was no mention of Hook in this scene suggests that maybe that little bit of info hasn’t been passed on yet, so for all the planning Rumple may do to counteract Cora’s arrival, he could be in for a nasty surprise when Hook shows up too.

I don’t think Archie is going to be killed. Raphael Sbarge, the actor who plays him, also said:

With the curse sort of going sideways, I think there’s ample job security for Archie. Everyone’s falling apart!”

I think that signals that he isn’t going to be written out of the show anytime soon, but he’ll be playing a bigger role in the plot.

Which would be a curious move, because didn’t he get demoted from regular cast to recurring status? But now it sounds like he’s gonna be very involved in a major storyline? Does not compute.

No matter what other adaptations of fairytales I may see in the future, I’ll probably think, “They totally got that wrong,” coz the Once version is the real version now. 😆 Grimm just started here last night, and I checked it out and thought it was great, but it’s just made up stuff, not like the gospel according to Kitsis and Horowitz which shall henceforth be the legit fairytale bible IMO. 😉

It’s a similar thing to how I went to a certain concert a dozen times, (New Kids On The Block & Backstreet Boys, though I was really just there for my New Kids), and the opening number was a mashup of a couple of songs, set to the music of Viva La Vida by Coldplay. Now whenever I hear Viva La Vida come on the radio, Coldplay totally sing the wrong words, the fools.

So just like NKOTBSB are the only ones who know how to sing Viva La Vida correctly, OUAT is the only production that knows the truth of these stories, and everyone else is doing it wrong. 😛

i’m skeptical. i’m hoping that the writers surely know how cliche zombies are right now and how it doesn’t quite fit the image of OUaT and FTL – I don’t want this to turn into just another FANTASY show, that is the magic of this series that all the characters are transformations of the characters we THINK we already know and that they show there might be more colors to them than we can imagine. It successfully connects the stories of different characters into one logical timeline and tells a great story with it. Zombies just don’t fit the bill.

I’m expecting that these “zombies” will be bit players, just to serve the plot of this one ep. Maybe the good guys will get to the stash of hearts and set it on fire and then they’ll all drop dead for good and that’s how they’ll escape. I can’t fault K&H for taking the opportunity to have a nod to zombies in an ep. Though they may be professional adult screenwriters, really, they’re always gonna be boys at heart, and zombie movies are probably something they love, so if they had the chance to indulge and have some zombies for a few scenes, they wanted to have some fun with it.

I’m sort of hoping that this must have something to do with ‘what’s dead is dead’, repeated so many times by Rumple (which seems SO IMPORTANT!) and that there is a nice explanation to why all of the sudden they are bringing Frankenstein and zombies up.

Frankenstein seemed really out of place to me when I first heard the theory. SciFi just didn’t seem to fit with Fairytales. But they were already not sticking strictly to fairytales. Alice in Wonderland wasn’t a fairytale. Wizard of Oz isn’t, and people are still hoping for that. And we have Captain Hook going to Neverland, and people are hoping to see Peter Pan. None of that is strictly “fairytale” either, they’re just storybooks. Granted, Frankenstein is a different genre of storybook, but a storybook nonetheless. Adam Horowitz tweeted someone that though he didn’t know it, Frankenstein’s world was indeed magical, so they have plans for how this is gonna play out, and how it’s gonna fit in, and I’m confident it’ll make sense. One of my main issues if Whale was Frankenstein was how they’d tie that character into the overall story in a believable way, but they achieved that perfectly IMO. It made sense to see Regina trying to bring back Daniel, and of course she’d use the guy whose hobby is reanimating the dead for that. And yes, everything about his character does address that “dead is dead” theme, and shows why dead should be dead, because it doesn’t tend to go so well when you try to defy that.

Oh how annoying that they spoke over that scene of Cora and Aurora! 👿 Anyone know how to lip read? 😆

Wonder who she’s gonna turn into a fish.

Oh God. Please don’t let anything bad happen to poor Archie. 😥

I’m officially afraid for sweet Archie. Not liking that choice of words, “explosive”. Didn’t they suggest that someone major was gonna die this season?

    @EvilQueen wrote:

well, i think it’s pretty obvious that the cliffhanger will be about who gets through to the real world and who stays alive/left in FTL.

Yep, I’d say that’s a pretty safe bet. (I’m still reserving judgement and not assuming that it’s actually Emma and Snow who get back.)

For episode 2.13, the guest role of Arlo is being cast. He’s about 40 years old, tall and fat, and also wise, spiritual, and fatherly.

My guess as to his identity?: With the recent casting notice for “Helena,” and based on a wikipedia article I found for Old King Cole that mentions a daughter named Helen or Helena, I think Arlo could be the “merry old soul” of the nursery rhyme.

    HUH??? ❓ ❓ ❓

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_King_Cole#Origins

If Helena’s a princess, and they’re casting a father figure for this ep too, I can buy that Old King Cole and is daughter theory, (and I’m gonna be singing that nursery rhyme in my head all day now).

I’m sticking with Helena being Aurora’s mother. If she “takes immense pride in the deadly creatures she has fought and slain” then chances are she’d go after DragonMaleficent, who would then need to retaliate and bust out the sleeping curse.

Ever since Mulan and Aurora put Prince Philip on the bed where once Aurora slept, I had no doubt this wasn’t the last time of seeing him!

Yep, it was a given that he’d be back at some point. Looks like he’s shooting in the middle of a forest, so Phillip’s up and gettin’ around again.

I mean, he and his crew had the bean before they encountered Rumpelstiltskin and I don’t think it was mentioned that they got the bean from Smee.

Went back to check, and yep, it was stated that they got it from Smee…

Milah: Wait. I have something you want.

Rumpelstiltskin: Well, I find that very difficult to believe.

(She pulls out Smee’s red hat.)

Rumpelstiltskin: Where did you get that?

Milah: You know who I took it from. I may not know what the Dark One wants with a magic bean, but I have it.

    Then later, on the boat…

Milah: Fetch some water. And get me that prisoner below deck, along with the goods that he carried. Now!

Then there’s the bit where Rumple kills her, then Hook sticks the hook into him…

Rumpelstiltskin: Killing me’s going to take a lot more than that, dearie.

Hook: Even demons can be killed. I will find a way.

Rumpelstiltskin: Well, good luck living long enough.

Then the scene where Hook lets Smee join the crew…

Hook: Well, what if I was to tell you I was about to set sail to a land where none of us will ever grow old? Where I can discover how to get my revenge on Rumpelstiltskin.

Then he tosses the bean in the water and away they go.

All of that makes it seem like they didn’t know exactly what they had in that bean when they first got it, (and Smee), and that Hook didn’t have plans to go to Neverland until he needed to go to a timeless place so he could live long enough to defeat Rumple.

People in FTL had likely heard stories about Neverland, where no one ages, so I’d buy it if Hook knew about Neverland that way, especially considering his social circle would likely include people who have travelled a lot. And once he’d figured out what the bean was for, he probably just put 2 and 2 together, and decided to use it to go to Neverland.

Hmmm, that geyser in the title card is curious, especially given that it’s shown right after the shot of Aurora shooting up through the air. Are the two somehow related?
