I’m all but certain that Charming is gonna go under a sleeping curse and camp out in the room of fire until Snow falls asleep and shows up there too. She wasn’t exactly convincing when she told Aurora that the dreams stop, and now Charming knows that there can be more than one person there at the same time. He probably thinks that the person Henry saw was Snow, considering he knows nothing about Aurora.

I was posting in a non-spoiler thread about the dream just before, and it led me to googling some stuff about how water is a symbol of the unconscious. So I think this fire room is where one goes when they dream un-naturally, and there’s a water room where one goes when they dream naturally…they’re like opposite places on the subconscious plane…water and fire, good and bad, natural and un-natural…and the subconscious as a whole is a portal of sorts between worlds, (which is why the dream room was walled in red curtains, like the room in Jefferson’s hat).

Now I’m just wondering what the “vital information” is that he’ll have to deliver.

Wonder if this is why they didn’t show Jefferson actually doing any portal jumping last week, because they didn’t want that room to be fresh in everyone’s minds, hoping we wouldn’t instantly make the connection. Nice try, Adam and Eddy. ๐Ÿ˜›

Surely it can’t be coincidence that both Jefferson’s room of doors and the burning room in the dream are both walled with red curtains. That’s the similarity, but the difference is that Jefferson’s room had connections to all magical lands, but not ours…and the dream room does connect to ours. I don’t think this room in the dreams is a physical place like the room in Jefferson’s hat.

I just did a quick google to see if fire has any connection to the subconscious…it doesn’t…but water is the element associated with the unconscious…water extinguishes fire…there’s gotta be something in this. Maybe the room of fire is a different plane of the subconscious, somewhere we’re not meant to go, so the only ones who end up there are those who sleep due to a curse, instead of sleeping naturally. Maybe there’s another room that’s walled by water instead of flames, and that’s the normal collective subconscious where we all go.

Maybe Charming will have to go to the room of water to contact Snow in the ep, “Into The Deep”?

I’m trying really hard not to make a FireWood joke here…but really, I don’t think the whole town will band together to hunt them down just because they hurt Emma. Snow, Charming, and their friends maybe, but not all of the town is that invested in her beyond the fact that she was the one to break the curse.

I may have exaggerated just a tad. ๐Ÿ˜‰ But the point still remains that they were in on the plan together, so if Emma and her family are gonna shun August for his part in it, they should shun Neal too, so the guys will only have each other to lean on. Unless Blue steps up and says the whole thing was her idea, to take some of the heat off the guys.

The best theory I have seen yet is the picture of the dagger, even though I really hope it isn’t. Look at the box itself: was i the only one that noticed that it opened upside down? The deep part we normally think of as the box was used as the lid. That meant that the “box” part was only an inch or so deep, and from the brief glance we got from the side, i didn’t see anything over the edge. So far the best bet is a piece of paper.

I don’t know about that Faux Pax. Both Phee and I seem to agree that the typewriter was in the box. I froze the frame where he started to open it, you could see the outline of a typewriter.

The box opens the same way as when we saw it in SB. Please excuse the dodgy quality of my screencap on the right, but I tried to lighten it up a bit. I think the curved shadows you can see there are the curved edges on the typewriter, as seen on the left:

I wouldn’t call him horrible. I would call him a douche though. Am I the only one that hopes he can start to make up for all the crap he’s pulled? I mean i know it won’t be easy, but if Regina and Rumple can pull it off…

WORD, if Rumple and Regina can get a redemption arc, then so can Pinocchio. I wonder if in the end, it’ll be something that he does that eventually brings Emma and Neal back together again for their happily ever after.

the parallels between him and the Blue Fairy were very strong in what he did to Emma/Neal and what she did to Grumpy/Nova.

Another point to the idea that BF is the puppet master in this sense. I don’t like that she’s becoming so manipulative, but it’s interesting to see that Rumple isn’t playing chess against himself…

I like that there’s someone in SB who can match wits with Rumple. Regina tries of course, but she’s got an inflated sense of her abilities. Blue is actually on par with him, though, (even if he doesn’t know it yet).

I’m wondering if August’s use of the term “guardian angel” for himself was meant to be a little hint about who’d sent him…Emma’s fairy godmother.

I can’t wait to see how this plays out when Neal tries to explain himself. August might want dismantle all the woodchippers in storybrooke before Neal shows up…

Neal may be the only kinda-sorta-friend August will have in town. If they’ve been in this together from the start, once Emma finds out about that, she’ll probably tell them they can have each other. And anyone who hurt Emma won’t be popular with the majority of the SB residents. Maybe they’ll get bromantic if they end up having to shack up together on the outskirts of town.

I still can’t get over how many Peter Pan references there were in that episode. Emma mentions Neverland while climbing the beanstalk and Hooks talks about it and the Lost Boys. Emma mentions it again in the motel room. Neal tells her “Close your eyes and pick a spot”. Peter Pan said “Close your eyes………..and you’ll see Neverland.”. The dream catcher in the motel is the same one in Neal’s NY apartment. Screams out Tiger Lily to me. August asked Neal “Do you believe in magic?”. Peter pan asked viewers, all over the world, “Do you believe in Fairies?”. Funny how Neal kept wearing that same green hoody all throughout the episode. Peter wore green as did Bae, his green cloak.

Yeah, there was Peter Pan stuff all over the place. I wanna trust those hints, but dunno if I can. These writers are too crafty. ๐Ÿ˜†

When I re-watched the episode, it seems like it’s still the typewriter in the case. So yes, going back to what I said in the chat room last night. I believe it’s the picture of the dagger. Blue definitely had all her memories and knowledge of Bae’s whereabouts. She’s been calling all the shots.

If it was indeed still the typewriter in the box, perhaps there was a sheet of paper in it with words on it like: “My father. He is the Dark One,” said Baelfire sadly. “Oh. I canโ€™t make him the man he was before,” replied Reul Ghorm, “but I can send him someplace where he wonโ€™t be able to use his powers.” Seeing something like that, (if he is Bae), would be undeniable proof of who had sent August, (if Blue did), and that what he was saying was the truth.

Yeah, this promo is pretty average all around.

Anyone else think the body looks like Billy? I’d feared that he was gonna be the victim.

Hook hadn’t counted on Emma turning on him, he thought he had the upper hand in that relationship, and if anyone was gonna do any double crossing, it was gonna be him. So I can see him not trusting her any more, (whilst at the same time being impressed by her), and going back to TeamCora instead, at least for now.

As for Cora giving Hook a second chance even though he failed to get the compass, it’s not like she’s got a lot of options right now. As far as we know, there aren’t many people left in FTL, much less people who have a passionate grudge against the same person she does. They both want Rumple dead, and if they work together, it increases their chances of getting the job done. Basically, Cora needs Hook.

I guess during whatever communication happens between Charming and Snow, the topic of Cora must come up. Is it any wonder Regina and Rumple wanna kill people who come through the portal if one of them is potentially Cora? Assuming that Cora is savvy enough to have considered the fact that she wouldn’t last long in SB if she pokes her head through the portal, that could potentially lead to the impostor theory coming true. Much easier to sneak into town as Snow, because even if Regina and Rumple set some sort of trap for those coming through the portal, Charming would see to it that Snow (and Emma) wouldn’t be caught in said trap.

Do you really think if he sent that kind of money in that envelope to a prison she would get to keep it. It would go to the jewelry store or they would try to figure out who would be sending her that kind of money.

Very true. Though you’d think a car may raise some suspicions too, but a huge sum of cash does appear more suspect to the authorities. What’s she gonna do with that amount of cash when she’s in jail, try to bribe her way out? I’m still thinking he took the money for himself though, instead of leaving it in the car. If she thought Neal had left her the car AND the money, she’d really have started to think about everything and might have figured out that something was up. If he left her the cash in the car, that contradicts the story that he dumped her to take the money and run.

And would she have found her special power of telling the truth if she wasn’t hurt so badly.

I’m guessing not. It was probably after this incident that she really started to hone her lie detecting skills, to make sure she was never hurt by someone like that again.

One more thing I’ve gotta say, mad props to them for having kept this under wraps. We knew Eion was gonna be in this ep only because his name was in the official cast list. We figured we’d see him in SB. Not a single leak or set photo of him shooting scenes from Emma’s past. For all the stuff they let leak out, it’s cool that they can still keep certain things top secret.
