ParticipantGuess Snow’s gonna go looking for Red…and end up sorta wishing she hadn’t.

ParticipantI thought the flower looked like a protea…

(Incidentally, we do have flowers in the protea family here in Oz (Australia) though that particular one, the king protea, is native to South Africa.)Phee
ParticipantI’m fully expecting to have a soft spot for MRJ’s character, but haven’t seen enough of him yet to make my crush official.

I don’t think Hook’s omission supports the idea that Hook wants to use Emma romantically, since I don’t think he had any romantic notion towards Emma at their first encounter. Yes, his underlying reason to wanting to visit SB is to avenge Milha’s death by killing Rumpel, but that’s a highly personal thing to divulge to someone who’s interrogating you and as you’re facing being torn limb from limb by an ogre. Hook is a cunning pirate, and he’s not going to divulge his vulnerabilities about loving someone to Emma and her gang when they’re threatening his life. He wants to come across as a man who is in control and uses anger over a lost hand as motivation. He’s not going to be all soppy and tenderhearted while being interrogated. He’s going to say just enough to get them to spare his life.
Agreed. I didn’t have any issue with how he did or didn’t act, he was pretty much as expected at this stage IMO. If he does end up developing a flirtatious relationship with her, I think it’ll be because he’s attracted to her feisty nature and the fact that she challenges him.

ParticipantCool idea! If it’s a murder that Red gets blamed for, it’s probably pretty brutal. Frankenstein’s monster would kill in a brutal, animalistic way.
Only problem is, if he’s sorta psycho like Daniel was, I don’t see how he could become a recurring character, because Daniel had to be killed.
PS. I’ve gotta laugh that the first guy cast in forever who doesn’t have Bae’s hair, and we’re still getting caught up on other characters he looks like. 😆

I don’t think Snow knew for sure that it would work, she didn’t even know if it still existed. It’s just that they’re desperate, and that’s the one and only portal she ever knew of to get from FTL to our world, so it was their only option to try. But she didn’t actually have any idea how to get it to work, or if it was even possible.
That’s exactly my point tho- they were desperate for months/quite some time looking for a way to save FTL/EF & no one in all that time mentioned recharging any magical devices (not in the pilot nor during all of S1).
But like I also said in my post, I’m thinking that this ability to recharge magic is something unique to Emma, that no one has been able to do before, so they never would have considered recharging magical objects as an option back then. All they had was a dwindling resource of magic and a one time use tree.

The way they worded Snow’s line, “if anyone has access to enough magic”, is a big hint at Emma’s ability to tap into any residual magic in the atmosphere.
Which I would buy IF Snow knew about Emma’s ability- remember Snow didn’t SEE Emma touch the hat- she was focused on the wrath at that point & only saw Emma pulled into the hat, then they got captured, tied to horses, Snow knocked out & dumped in a pit with Cora etc, so because we haven’t seen that conversation (of how Emma touched the hat & it worked), we cant assume they have had it or that Snow knows about it yet- so Regina is the only other one so far to know something is different about Emma magicaly & this being the case, it doesn’t fit that context- at least not for me.
I do agree it’s a hint to Emma’s magic, but only for us.Yes only a hint for the audience. Snow certainly has no idea that her daughter is magical, and I’m pretty sure Emma has no idea she’s magical herself. I was suggesting that Snow was just desperately hoping against hope that there would be someone back at camp who had some idea of how to make it work, not that she definitely knew there was a way to do it.

ParticipantYES, I just saw your posts about this in the other part of the forum and rushed right over to say HOLY CRAP they could totally be brothers!! Maybe Victor’s brother ended up getting away from their homeland, and Victor won’t have to go find him, coz he’s gonna come to SB instead?

While I think this is a very interesting theory, one major thing doesn’t make much sense. Dracula was a vampire, and was therefore immortal. We know that Victor’s brother was dead, because he needed a magical heart to bring him back to life. Dracula, a powerful vampire, wouldn’t need to be brought back to life as Frankenstein’s monster, because a vampire can live eternally as an “undead” creature. Dracula wouldn’t be a corpse in need of an electric jolt and a magical heart.
That’s a fair point.
PS. EGAD that resemblance is uncanny! 😮

ParticipantAssuming they used some sort of embalming process in FTL, he could probably still look pretty fresh even if several weeks had passed before Regina got a grasp of magic and used it to preserve him.

Alice fell down a rabbit hole and ended up in…a room full of doors. Sound familiar? Maybe there’s actually no literal rabbit hole and the “rabbit hole” in the story was actually a top hat that she followed someone into.
Thats how she met Jefferson! Ohhhh I hope his wife is Alice lol I really like this theory!!!
I’ve always sorta hoped that the Alice story will come after what we’ve already seen, (ie, after he’s become the Mad Hatter, and then stuff happens like in the book, with Alice as a little girl), so haven’t been on TeamAliceWasHisWife whenever I’ve seen it suggested. But yeah, if it was Jefferson who was Alice’s “white rabbit”, and he’s the one she followed down the “rabbit hole” that was his hat then that theory could certainly fit.
