I’m very impressed with the acting in just these few clips. They have the mother daughter dynamic well down. The daughter trying to prove she is tough enough to handle it, even though she is probably scared nearly out of her mind. The mother trying to encourage and yet instruct her daughter and keep her safe. This is going to be fun to watch the relationship develop. Superb actresses.

Agreed! It’s gonna be a real treat to watch this relationship evolve.

Perhaps the pit has the same anti-magic properties as the jail which held Rumpel in the pilot, which prevent Cora from using magic.

Hadn’t thought of that, but it’s a possibility.

Or is she actually in charge of that whole settlement of people, and she’s down there purely to pose as a fellow prisoner to get info out of them?

That’d be a very interesting twist!

Also, Cora seemed especially interested in how Emma and Snow White managed to return to the Enchanted Forest. It’s almost like Cora wants to go the opposite way back to SB. She probably has a huge grudge against Regina and Rumpel for what they did to her. 😕

That’s what I’m thinking, it seems that Cora wasted no time at all trying to find out how they got there, and I’m sure she’d love to go to where Regina and Rumple are to wreak some revenge on them.

I’m really curious as to how and when Cora found her way back to FTL. What state was she in when she returned? Did she storm into the place all powerful? If so, I could see her being in charge of this remnant of FTL folks. Even if she’s not their direct ruler, she could hold them to ransom in some way and as such be able to say, “I’m going to interrogate the prisoners,” and they’d let her do so without question.

Sitting here wondering what type of portal she could have used to get back, got me thinking about what portal Snow and Emma will use to get back. Wouldn’t it be fun if they went down the rabbit hole? Of course, we don’t know what the show’s version of Alice will be, and if she’ll be from our world, but if she was, maybe there’s some sort of rabbit hole network between worlds, including ours, and that’s where they’ll end up. Would be sort of fun, considering they got there via the Hatter’s hat, and will possibly have QoH, (if she does turn out to be Cora), trying to use them so she can get to the portal too. Oooo, there have been filming shots of the Rabbit Hole set in SB, haven’t there? With caution tape and whatnot? Wonder if that’s where they’ll pop back into town?

Jennifer Morrison gave an interesting spoiler for 2×3 about Snow and Lancelot.

In addition to making the acquaintance of the original Queen of Mean, Emma this Sunday will be introduced to no less than Lancelot. But as show bosses Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz previously scooped for us, the handsome former member of the Round Table is no stranger to Snow White. “Yeah, she definitely has a ‘friendship’ with him,” Jennifer Morrison told me. “It seems like maybe either he fought battles with Prince Charming or was in some other way was of a part of their kingdom and community, so they definitely have a friendship.”
Hmm, maybe Mary Margaret’s alter ego isn’t so snow white after all? (And no, the “We were cursed” excuse won’t fly this time.) http://tvfilmnews.com/new-once-upon-a-time-2×03-lady-of-the-lake-scoop-from-jennifer-morrison/

The way they put “friendship” in quotes sorta made me cringe. If they do go for the Charming/Arthur and Snow/Gwenivere thing, I hope that the Gwen/Lancelot attraction is purely a one sided thing on his part in this version of the story, and not the actual, epic love affair of legend.

I think I’ll either have to just keep making slightly outdated predictions and asking questions that have already been answered for a little while, or just wait until I’ve caught up on all the podcasts. haha.

😆 No worries, there’s an awful lot of stuff to get caught up on.

Before, when I was watching Stable Boy, I knew that Cora had made some deals that were pretty severe, but now knowing that she was dealing with Rumplestiltskin, I can see why she’d be so adamant that Regina follow her plans. Not that I agree, but the price would have been very high to have Regina ‘throw it away’. It makes Cora’s resolve more believable and more awesome. haha.

That’s a very good point. Cora likely sold her soul to get where she is, so she’ll be damned if it’s all gonna be for nothing. Perhaps part of what made her so completely horrible was her fear of Rumple…of deals she made with him going awry…and/or of having to make more deals with him if she couldn’t get what she wanted on her own.

Speaking of theories that have probably already been discussed — does anyone know if Mister Gold knew his fairy-tale background the whole time in Storybrooke, or just when Emma came and he learned her name? I always assumed that it happened when he learned her name – because of the expression on his face… and why else would he make that his payment for his information swap with Snow in the pilot – but I heard some people postulating that he knew that whole time. Did we come to a consensus on that?

Kitsis and Horowitz have confirmed that he only got his memories back when he heard Emma’s name. Kinda messed up everyone’s theories about how he’d managed to procure Henry in particular for Regina, if he had no idea who any of them were at the time, then it can’t have been intentional scheming on his part.

Wasn’t there a spoiler that Regina would try to sway someone we’ve always thought trustworthy? What better tool for her to use than the guy who’s giving advice to everyone in town. She could make him say anything to anyone.

Random pondering: could the Giant be an ogre? Could that be why they’re introducing ogres at this point? And then releasing a pic of Jorge as the Giant the day after the ep with the ogres airs?

Perhaps Killian and Milha traveled to Neverland together, where time stood still. Years later, Rumpel became the Dark One and got his revenge against Killian Jones,

I just had a little splodey brain moment. Wonder if Rumple got the time-not-advancing curse ingredient from Neverland, when he went after Killian/Hook?

At first, I thought Beaman, who’s described as a trader of antiques, was going to be Captain Hook’s alias before he became infamous. Yet, since we learned Hook’s alias is Killian Jones, I now think Beaman could be Smee’s alias. We’ve seen images Smee kidnapping Belle outside the SB library (which I think is the meeting of an old acquaintance that could be Belle’s undoing). He might also go by Beaman, who could supply Mr. Gold with antiques and be a go-between Captain Hook and Rumplestiltskin, without Rumpel knowing it.

That’s an interesting possibility! I haven’t really given much thought to any larger scope for Smee’s character, but I like this.

Now that the curse is broken, Smee might recognize Belle from FTL, since I think that Captain Hook might’ve feigned an interest in Belle once, after she left Rumpel in 1×12. We saw her hanging out in a dwarf tavern in 1×14 (which sounds very similar to Milha’s story), where I think Belle met Captain Hook. It’s possible that Hook enticed Belle, who said she wanted to see to the world, to join him on his ship. Hook might’ve known about Belle and Rumpel’s rocky relationship, and so he invited Belle to join his expedition. He eventually handed over Belle to Regina as revenge for his hand being cut off.

Some really cool ideas there! I’ll take that and tweak a bit of it, and suggest that if Belle knew Smee from FTL, taking the go-between antiques dealer theory into consideration, perhaps they knew each other through Rumple, as opposed to through Hook. If Smee was a business associate of Rumple’s, chances are he came to the house during the time Belle was there.

I do love that parallel of Belle in the tavern and Milha in the tavern. Nice catch!

There is so much anguish in little Bae’s and Rumpel’s faces, and Milha looks like she was just caught in the act. I feel so much for poor Rumpel and Baelfire. No wonder Rumpel became so consumed by gold, wealth, and power. He must’ve been devastated and humiliated beyond description by Milha running off with the likes of a dashing pirate like Killian.

Rumple’s face in those pics is breaking my heart. WAAAHHHH! 🙁 And yes, if his poor state is the reason he went through this humiliation of his wife leaving him, in such a public manner, that would certainly explain why he’s all about OVER compensating now. Poor bugger.

Also, I’d like to join the club who’d thought that Bae would be much younger…like…an infant…newborn even. His age in these pics kinda makes me think it’s impossible for Hook to be his bio father. Unless these pirates have been through town before, years ago, and that’s when the affair happened, and now Milha is hanging out with him again.

I really don’t think they have to try to write Milha as being the least bit sympathetic. It’s not like anyone’s gonna ship Milha and Rumple. Everyone will write he off by default, just because of Rumbelle. So they may as well make her horrible.

Love seeing AdultSnow in a scene with Cora. Her reaction to her is such a perfect contrast to their interactions when Snow was a naive child. Can’t wait to see more!

So, what’s Cora doing in the pit, do we think? The only way she could be imprisoned is if she’s been somehow stripped of her powers. Or is she actually in charge of that whole settlement of people, and she’s down there purely to pose as a fellow prisoner to get info out of them?

I’m with you AntBee. That puppet creeps me right out! They need to leave the wood out of the Bromance! 😉

Both of these comments cracked me up!! 😆 😆 That is all. Carry on.
