The fact that they say it’s a “hilarious passing moment” makes me think it won’t really be a big thing with legitimate, lasting resentment. I’m wondering if maybe he lashes out, and then Snow tells him to pull his head in, and then he’s got that line about being old fashioned.

They haven’t come to terms with having the memories of two people yet, so if he’s in his Charming mindset, (and let’s face it, with everyone wandering around town, re-meeting each other and remembering who they are, their FTL personas are gonna be the dominant persona at that point in time), and Whale says something snarky about having got it on with Snow, of course Charming’s reflex response is gonna be all, “A DUEL FOR MY LADY’S HONOUR,” and whatnot. But I suspect that he’ll then realise, “Oh yeah, but I was married to someone else huh…umm, sorry about that…bygones?” It’d be a good way for them to show how these characters are going to have to learn to reconcile both of their personas.

the main thing that comes to mind is Grace. Jefferson was her father in FTL but there is, what appears to be, a lovely family that took care of her for 28 years. That counts for something. I’m sure she will be happy to see Jefferson but she spent almost 3 times as much time with her Storybrook family than with Jefferson.

Just because the curse is broken does not mean those 28 years did not happen.

I hope we get some good stuff with Grace having to deal with that. I know there’s been talk about Henry trying to convince Jefferson to get Grace back, so maybe he’ll need some convincing because he’ll be mindful of the fact that his daughter has had a different family for so long.

The episode opens in a new location, with a new character receiving a mysterious message.

A fresh fairy tale “character” makes “his” presence strongly felt in Storybrooke. Note the quotation marks.

Wonder if both of those might relate to MRJ’s character? I’d guess that the first one very likely does. The second could perhaps mean Hook though, I suppose.

Mmm, so it’s a Dementor that makes its presence felt. Meh. I like the idea of Rumple having the Medallion, but it looks so much out of Harry Potter from the picture that I don’t really like the idea of a soul sucking creature. Plus, other than Harry Potter, I don’t really remember soul sucking creatures being a large part of fairy tales. On the other hand, horcruxes sort of are because a lot of fairy tale villains hide their soul in a place outside their bodies, and the hero with the maiden’s help finds the villain’s soul and crushes it to be able to completely destroy the villain. So I wouldn’t mind that being a part of OUaT and not Dementors. 😕

I’m not a Potterphile, so the pic made me think of the Nazgul from LotR instead. The word “dementor” is certainly considered a Potterism though, so it’d probably be better if they’d called them something else, a wraith of some sort. Same sort of entity, but people wouldn’t automatically leap to the Potter connection, unless that’s what they’re going for.

Maybe the girls have to make some deal with Rumple to get Phillip back safely, and that’s how he gets the amulet.

Yep, I’m guessing she’s Bae’s mother, and talking about being on a tall ship suggests she’s hanging out with Hook, which fits with the theory about Hook stealing Rumple’s wife.

If that’s not a hair match, then I dunno what is. 😉

I had a dream a few nights ago that Dr. Whale had two identities in FT world: Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. That would be interesting.

He shouldn’t have much trouble dealing with the memories of his 3rd personality of Dr Whale, if he was previously used to having 2 personalities. Just add 1 more to the list. 😉 It’s an interesting theory from a storytelling standpoint, because everyone else in SB will be noobs at dealing with a split personality-esque sensation, then they could show him reacting and adjusting in a different way.

I’m getting the sense that Mulan doesn’t think much of Aurora, which would be understandable I suppose, considering Aurora isn’t a warrior princess like herself.

Good to know why Phillip isn’t listed in the cast lists for other eps, he’s just hiding, not dead.

PS. I want Aurora’s pretty princess dress!

Really excited to see more wolves! If we assume that Quinn will have something to do with Anita and her wolf pack, it’d make even more sense if he’s the wizard Granny goes to for the cloak. If he’s a non-wolf who lives with a pack of werewolves since his non-magical family excommunicated him, chances are he’s producing magical capes for them left, right and centre as life insurance.

That also means Rachel Shelley probably will be in 2×4 as Milha and possibly Rumpel’s first wife who ran off in search of adventure. She wrote: ” I set sail on an immaculate tall ship through aquamarine waters in fairytale land.” Perhaps she meant that both metaphorically as well as in reality; her character, Milha, set sail with Captain Hook aboard his pirate ship.

Well she’s got the right colour hair to be Bae’s mother. Just sayin’. 😉

She’s gotta be Anita. And if that’s a recent pic of her, dang do I hope to look even half that good when I’m 43.

    @Surayya wrote:

Well she certainly fit’s the profile of Anita, which means the role of Quinn should have been filled already- or did I miss that? 😕

Yep, here’s the post from a couple of pages back in the thread:

I kind of want it to be Alice (Grace’s mom). Jefferson only said that he lost his wife because of wounderland, not that she died and something about his attitude and the way he and Regina were talking, made me think him hanging up his hat was something of a new(ish) development.

He didn’t specifically say that he lost his wife because of Wonderland though, did he? He said he lost her because of his work, and he also said he hates Wonderland, but I dunno that that those two statements are necessarily related. I like to think that we’ll see more of Jefferson’s time in Wonderland after he became the Mad Hatter, and that’s when he’ll meet Alice at the tea party like in the book. So Alice being Grace’s mother wouldn’t fit with the theory I (currently) subscribe to.

I’m really interested to see what they do with Alice. Was she from OUR world in the Once version? Because that would mean that there have always been ways to get from our non-magical world to magical worlds, which would mean that our world isn’t truly non-magical. Or was she from some other magical world, and if so, which one? Where did she end up? Is she in SB? If she WAS from our world, and came back here at the end of her story, did she grow up as a normal person in our world, so that when she’s introduced in the present day, she could come to SB as a real world outsider, similar to how Emma did?

That’s so cool!! Wonder what’s up with all those blue butterflies? First thing I thought of was Blue Fairy flitting around, using her magic to combat the bad, smokey magic that’s in SB now.

Edited to add that watching it again, there’s someone standing up in the back, looks like she’s wearing a long, pale blue dress, dark hair, and it looks like that’s where the butterflies are coming from. It goes by too fast for me to see if it’s Blue, but I can’t imagine who else it’d be.

Edited again to add that perhaps it’s Snow standing up the back? Coz she’s not anywhere else in that final shot with all the characters in it. Blue butterflies instead of bluebirds?

PS. I love how in that shot, Charming runs over to protect Emma and Henry.
