ParticipantLookit Smee in his red hat!
And Charming with the Sheriff badge!
And we’re gonna see Moe!
As far as where Emma and Snow go, I just got done rambling about my ideas on that in this post:

I don’t think it would get like August if he was presented as a fairytale counterpart, and/or Baelfire after that – and just when the audience thinks the mystery of his identity is solved: Emma returns and demands to know why he’s in town – end of an episode/ cliff hanger.
Am loving this idea of a double reveal for MRJ’s character & that cliffhanger idea would be a perfect way to do it!

I have a feeling Emma and Snow may be gone for awhile (because, in this family, someone seems to be always needing to find the others…). Could be interesting if the pair does several realm jumps through to mid-season. Or would that start getting old? Probably would. And they have to keep us guessing about some of those doors for a few seasons: space them out and such.
This got me wondering about where they’ll disappear to, because that new spoiler seems to reinforce the idea that they do get vortexed somewhere, and I’ve come up with an idea…
I’m gonna guess that they go to FTL past, to a time we haven’t seen covered yet…to the time of the Sleeping Beauty story. From The Thing You Love Most:
Maleficent: Weren’t you about the same age when you were to be married? Before she ruined it all. Yes, you were.Evil Queen: Yes, it was about the same age you were when that Sleeping Beauty got the best of you, my dear Maleficent.
Maleficent is clearly older than Regina, so it was years before the events of that ep that the Sleeping Beauty story happened. Unless they can tie Aurora and Phillip into the current storyline somehow, there’s not much point in going back to tell their story at all. Both of them are played by young actors, but if Sleeping Beauty happened years before Regina’s curse, if they got transported with the curse, they should be older at that time in FTL, and in SB. Adam and Eddy have hinted that they have an interesting way to introduce these new characters.
So I’m gonna guess that Emma and Snow will go back to the time of Sleeping Beauty, and while they’re there, will get involved in that story somehow, and in doing so, will befriend Aurora and Phillip. Then when Emma and Snow figure out a way to escape, they’ll bring the other two back with them.
Perhaps BF will be one of the good fairies in Sleeping Beauty, (one of them does wear blue in the Disney film), and after Emma and Snow meet her and explain what happens in the future, she’ll give them a bean to help them get back to where they need to go.
OMG, imagine if they ran into other characters when they were younger, like Red when she was just a child? We could see what happened to her parents.
Eeeek, another idea…what if they go back to the time when Snow was a child, and met Regina, and adultSnow tries to change history so Daniel doesn’t die, in an attempt to prevent all of Regina’s future evil deeds. That may not sit well with Emma, because if Snow succeeded in changing the future, that would mean she’d never have Henry, but Snow could argue that it would mean that she and Charming would get to see their baby girl grow up. That storyline would be prime for tension. The spoiler says they’ll have a lot of time together “whether they like it or not,” which sounds like it won’t be smooth sailing between them. Ginny was around when Barbara and Bailee were shooting. I’d just figured she was hanging out to watch from the sidelines as opposed to being in scenes with them…but maybe not?

ParticipantThe Emma poster in particular is awesome! Girlfriend even has her hair tied back, so you know she means business. 😉

The way Regina spoke to Jefferson, I think it can at least be assumed that they had worked together in the past. I think Regina said she needed to employ his skills as a magician “one last time.” (I can’t remember for sure, since I haven’t seen 1×17 in a while).
“Do this one last favour for me, and you can give her the life she deserves.”
And after they go through the hat:
“I forgot how magnificent you are.”
So he’s certainly done favours for her before that involved the use of his power.@AntBee wrote:
If Regina is behind his wife’s disappearance, I was going by the assumption that right now Jefferson doesn’t know that Regina had anything to do with it. Of course, Regina’s already done so many other bad things to him that maybe it would be overkill if they also made her the reason for the disappearance of his wife.
Yeah, if she had something to do with it, I doubt he knows the extent of her involvement, even if he may have his suspicions.

The Blue Fairy seemed quite settled that the Dark One magic DIDN’T belong in the Enchanted Forest. I’m not sure what realm it came from but if there was any force to be balanced, then it seemed like it was probably specifically upsetting that balance. Who knows, maybe the Dark One’s powers were part of the reason the Enchanted Forest’s magic seemed to be going away.
My theory about BF giving Bae the bean to separate him from his father and keep Rumple there for the balance of power, basically assumes that much of what she told him in that scene was merely said to convince him to use the bean. An example of her not being 100% pure in order to do the “right” thing.
It also makes it sound like the Dark One powers perhaps were not even originally evil. Perhaps in the world those powers originated, the power was easily usable for good but it only manifests darkly in the Enchanted Forest. I also wonder if in the world the Dark One powers came from, EVERYONE there had similar powers so it wasn’t able to be wielded so unfairly or dangerously. Perhaps someone stole the Dark One powers from another realm having no idea the transformation they’d undergo. Maybe just as magic will be unpredictable in our world, any magic that originates from outside the Enchanted Forest is also less predictable there.
That’s a really interesting idea!

Could the blue fairy have been watching Rumple and Bae before Bae called for her help? The part where she says “You’re a very good son, Baelfire. You are the part of him that keeps him human. That little light inside of him that still glows. It’s his love for you.” How would she know that? How did she know Bae’s name when he didn’t tell her and she initially called him “child”?
I’d be very surprised if there was a Dark One running around FTL and BF wasn’t keeping tabs on who he was and what he was up to.

So it’s likely a new character I guess maybe Smee since he would be “fat”, and it would make sense for him to be on an episode with Captain Hook/Beaman and interact with Gold.
That makes the most sense to me (if the actor is not in fact Belle’s father, who was rather chunky). Since Smee isn’t a main character, I wouldn’t except there to be a widely–publicized casting call for his character like there was for Hook. In Peter Pan, Smee was always doing Hook’s bidding and was his “yes man.” Perhaps Hook orders Smee to pay a visit to Rumpelstiltskin.
Seems like a likely explanation to me, too.

It is accepted canon of the show that both pre dark one Rumpel and post dark one Rumpel are cowards. That is what the show is trying to say.
I realise that, and yes, he’s certainly done cowardly things and needs to learn from his mistakes and change his ways. I’m just personally not as hard on pre-Dark One Rumple as many others are.

ParticipantIt’s like a big logic problem, or like we’re investigating a crime or something. “If A & B were at location C on date D, then that means the likely suspect is episode 4.” 😆

Another post on tumblr reports that Josh Dallas, Ginnifer Goodwin, and Jamie Chung were doing a shoot in Burnaby Mountain Park on Friday, August 17 (i.e. the night shoot that Ginny tweeted about).
Googlemaps tells me that parts of that parkland are down by the water, so could possibly be where those huts are set up.

ParticipantIt wouldn’t surprise me in the least if Regina was somehow involved in whatever incident caused Jefferson to lose his wife.
Never thought about her trying to escape after being married to Leopold. She was beginning to look intent on revenge even before the wedding, so I figured she’d descend into that as opposed to trying to flee. I do think she sent her mother to live in Wonderland as QoH though, so perhaps Jefferson helped her with that.

Found that image on Tumblr last week. http://tiffphany.tumblr.com/post/29696962181/once-upon-a-time-season-2-set-mulan

If you google “Chinese hut,” you’ll see that the above picture does resemble it. Here is an example of a traiditional Chinese hut:

The walls and door are definitely a match, it’s just the roof shapes that are different. For a traditional Asian building, I was thinking of the shape of the roof in that pic, so the one from set didn’t really fit. The rest of it matches so well though, I’m willing to bet that’s what it’s meant to be.
I noticed that the tumblr post has a date of the 18th on it.

Someone from another site was ranting that Belle couldn’t be Rumple’s true love because he loved his son so much, Bae’s mother had to be his one true love. (Isn’t the show pretty clear that Rumbelle is true love!)
Yeah, I’d say that’s a pretty well established fact, considering her kiss was in the process of breaking his curse. I think that the love Rumple had for Bae ended up surpassing any love he’d once had for his wife.
