I hope we get to see the origins of Regina and Malificent’s friendship. They remind me of old friends who went to school together, Mal being the one who took notes in class, studied for all the exams, and was never tardy, while Regina cut class to smoke out in the parking lot, copied other students’ papers and blew up the lab during potions class.
Love this analogy! ๐

Were they Time Bandits or some cosmic version of Bonnie & Clyde using the hat as a Realm-jumping get-away-car?
They could make a whole awesome spin-off show based on that concept. ๐

While I agree that it’s an interesting idea, I don’t think that Regina knew about Rumpelstiltksin’s history with his son. Back in episode 19, Mr. Gold was surprised that August knew about the knife or his son, because I believe Mr. Gold said no one besides Baelfire knew about it. I don’t think Regina knows about the knife, because Mr. Gold buried it to keep anyone else from finding out about it, especially Regina.
Yeah, I’m inclined to think that Rumple kept that dagger a very closely guarded secret from everyone except Bae. He killed their maid over it on the off chance she got a good enough look at it to draw a picture and tell someone about it. I think the only other person who’d have knowledge of it would be Blue Fairy/Mother Superior, (so I think she’s where August got that picture of it). Also, we’ve seen Regina question Mr Gold about why he created the curse, so it’s safe to assume she doesn’t know about his history with his son.

I didn’t think of them as brother and sister, but it’s an interesting idea. If they were brother and sister, though, you’d think grace being her niece might have come up. Obviously not in an actually loving aunt sort of way, but a uninterested “how is my niece?” seems likely instead of just calling her “your daughter” whenever she mentions him to jefferson.
Yeah, she certainly didn’t refer to Grace as being a family member, and if she’s all about not abandoning family, would she have abandoned Jefferson in Wonderland if they were related?
They certainly have a history though, and I’m inclined to believe it wasn’t purely professional because they have some serious chemistry. Maybe Regina and Jefferson were a couple, (not necessarily a full on twu wuv relationship, I’m thinking more of a friends with benefits type situation), when he met Grace’s mother and then he left Regina for her?
Maybe Jefferson had something to do with whatever happened to Grace’s mother. And then he went and left Grace behind too. So perhaps Regina’s line about abandoning family was as if to say, “Some of us had our love taken away through no fault of our own. You had it all and threw it away. You don’t deserve to have a family.”

ParticipantTotally agree with Snow’s wedding hair. LOL
Emma’s hair used to bug me when it was always perfectly coiffed and feathered, then someone pointed out on another forum that fairytale princesses just roll outta bed with that magically perfect hair, so it’s not like she had to spend hours doing it each day. ๐ I like that her hair has been looking a bit rough lately.

ParticipantI’m going with Blue Fairy/Mother Superior. The more I think about that theory, the more I like it.

I’m happy to know they’ve got more in store for the character. Will frustrate me to no end to not get an answer about his condition in the finale though.

ParticipantThe more I think about it, the more I like the idea of Emma being a dragon slayer, just like dear old dad.
Maleficent had the curse for a time, and seemed aware of how terrible it was, so chances are she read the thing before she locked it up in the end of her staff. Perhaps she found a way to alter it so that if it DID end up being used, she’d be offered some protection. If she did that, then you’d think she’d wanna be in dragon form because that’s how she’d be most powerful.
So let’s assume that Emma’s taking that elevator down to where DragonMaleficent is coz she’s gotta slay her with that sword.
If there’s a dragon under Storybrooke somewhere, that’s not gonna go unnoticed, coz dragons tend to be large and noisy. That problem would be avoided if the dragon were under a sleeping curse, (would be some epic karma if Maleficent ended up the victim of a sleeping curse). Didn’t Dr Hopper make some comment to Emma about her having woken a sleeping dragon?
Next question: who would be able to dose up a dragon with a sleeping curse? We saw in Apple Red As Blood that the only way Regina could get her hands on the sleeping curse was with Jefferson’s help to reach back through space and time, so it’s not likely that she could have done anything to Maleficent. And even if she could, as if Maleficent is gonna fall for that trick.
Which leads me to think that there’s only one other who’d have had the knowledge and power to do it: Blue Fairy/Mother Superior. So I’m gonna guess that that elevator goes down under the convent, where Mother Superior has been keeping the sleeping dragon that is Maleficent. And when they’re all at the hospital, she tells Emma she’s gotta go down there to confront the dragon with the sword.
Also, I wonder if that earthquake earlier in the season was caused by a dragon trapped underground beginning to wake from its slumber. Hmmmmm.
I just hope that if the dragon is slayed, it doesn’t kill Maleficent completely, maybe it just makes her mortal, because I’d love to have her around some more in season 2.

Thankfully I wasn’t drinking anything when I read that, coz if I were it would have ended up all over the computer screen when I LOLd! ๐
I don’t think that he’d have accepted any alternative option she came up with. He hated her guts and didn’t trust her, so if she’d told him he could escape through a magical tree, he’d have thought it a trick that would kill him, and wouldn’t have done it. In that moment when he resolved to create that curse, Blue Fairy had no hope of ever stopping him or convincing him of another way to go about it.

All he’s interested in is his son. Which makes you wonder, depending how the finale works out and if he finds out about Belle
What if Regina offers Belle to Rumple in a deal and he says no becase Bae is his main priority? Do you think he would be willing to set back his plans to find his son in order to help Belle? Of course right away I wanna scream “YES!” but all of his actions are for Bae and Bae only, how will Belle fit into them?
I’m dying to see how Belle’s existence messes with his head and his plans. Right now he’s just got the one goal: to get out into the world and find Bae. ALL his emotions and focus are with that goal in mind. He’s probably got his bags packed, ready to leave town the instant he’s able, and then SURPRIIIIISE, your lady love lives. ๐ฎ You’d think he’d at least have to take some time to wrap his head around that and formulate a new plan and decide if Belle can fit into his future and how. We don’t know what kind of state she’ll be in when he discovers her. If everyone ends up remembering, surely her father, and probably many other people, would try to keep them apart. So even if Mr Gold wants to be with her, and/or take her with him on his trip to find Bae, it may not be that simple.

He still has the please clause to use.
I would guess that if the curse breaks, everyone remembers, and Regina’s life becomes a living hell because everyone’s out to get her, she’ll no longer feel the need to comply with his terms and the “please” would lose its power.
