ParticipantThanks for the links!
Monstro looks super scary. 😯

Also caught that hint about August being Pinocchio it seems like something with his story was changed or left out, guess that would answer what August did to the book wouldn’t it!
Yes, I believe the powers that be have said he was adding his own story when he edited the book, didn’t they? So now if they’re talking about something in Pinocchio’s story being different, that would fit.

Also, the clip of MM and Regina echoes the words that Maleficent warned would happen: Regina has a hole in her heart that cannot be filled.
Nice catch! Loved seeing Mary stand up to Regina like that, but she did it so calmly, and offered forgiveness, so Regina couldn’t unleash any fury on her. Nicely played, Mary.

Finally, I wonder if Mr. Gold is declining Emma’s request to gain custody of Henry because he wants Emma to put her trust in August instead. In episode 19, Mr. Gold said that Emma trusted August, and perhaps Mr. Gold hopes that Emma will start to trust August even more, which will help her believe faster.
Yep, I definitely think he wants her to go to August, and I’m guessing that’s what she does, because she ends up with him later in the ep. I can’t freaking wait for the Emma/August scenes in this ep!

ParticipantThanks for posting that! Good boys get the baby blue eyes. 😉

Participant“The last few weeks haven’t exactly been easy for me, and you’ve been there the whole time.”
EXACTLY! *slapping some sense into David* 😆I will be shocked if that kiss actually happens. I’m predicting he pulls away, excuses himself, and then Regina’s so pissed that she’s gotta wash the dishes herself now, she breaks the mirror. 😛

ParticipantI don’t think it sounded like he was talking to a child either, but someone asked Jane Espenson on Twitter and she replied: @kabernat he called Henry. They met up in next scene.
Meh, Mother Superior woulda been cooler. 😛

ParticipantIt would be if it’s a position she doesn’t want to be in. And judging by how upset she is in that scene with August in the promo, it doesn’t seem that she’s relishing the saviour role.

What is with that weird stone and the heart carved and painted red on it? It just seems to weirdly modern.
Headstone on Daniel’s grave perhaps? Though it seems to be very out in the open, which is a random place for her to have buried him, so maybe not.

ParticipantGood idea, mia! It could certainly be Emma’s dream instead of Regina’s.
Phee
ParticipantYep that’s her, Morraine I think her name is.

ParticipantHonestly, in that side by side pic of Pinocchio and August, apart from the eye and hair colour, I think they look quite similar. Their mouths aren’t much different, similar face shape, and their noses are a perfect match.

Another clue comes at 33:08. If you view that scene you will see the light shining through the background as Rumple and August hug. The shadow is a puppet string holder turned sideways. Maybe I am just seeing what I want to see but the clues keep pointing to him being Pinocchio.
You know what I’m gonna be looking for the next time I watch the ep. LOL

Here’s the thing: Storybrooke has featured Jiminy Cricket prominently, Geppetto from time to time, and even someone we think could very well, somehow, have been Monstro (if a man can be turned into a cricket, why not a whale?). Meanwhile Pinocchio himself has been very oddly absent in Storybrooke … or has he? From the standpoint of putting together a complete story I don’t know why else Pinocchio would be missing unless there have been casting issues or he’s somewhere outside of Storybrooke for some other reason.
YES, this is one of the big reasons why I think it makes perfect sense for him to be Pinocchio. We’ve seen the other players in that story, but the main character has been missing. If Pinocchio wasn’t going to be someone important to the storyline, if he was just gonna be some random kid around town, or a puppet in Mr Gold’s shop, they would have shown that by now to clear it up and get it out of the way.
So I believe that Pinocchio is meant to play a vital role. In order for the plot of the show to advance, especially with the momentum they’ve got going now at the end of the season, Emma needs to believe. There’s a mysterious guy in town whose sole purpose in Storybrooke is to get Emma to believe. Just sayin’.

I will say this much….if he’s *not* Pinocchio, they sure have some ‘splainin to do for all the clues that point to him!
WORD. I know they’re big on misdirection, and that’s a fun part of the show because it gets you thinking, keeps you guessing, draws you into the show and gets people discussing it. But from my perspective there’s just SO much that points to Pinocchio, that if he’s NOT, I hope they’ve come up with a theory I can believe that’ll make me overlook all the hints.

ParticipantAlso, I’m thinking we have 2 different trees in this trailer. They edited it to look like it’s all from one scene, but the 2 trees actually look completely different.
There’s the tall one that has a hole blasted out of the side of it, then Pinocchio seems to be peering into the hole in the tree, then there are those 2 flashes of light, which I think was probably Emma materialising in the tree.
Then it cuts to the scene of Pinocchio falling backwards from a tree STUMP, which is what we see in the behind the scenes pics too. When I was stopping and starting, trying to watch frame by frame, when he falls backwards from that tree stump and lands on his back on the ground, it kinda looks like his body is stiff and not human. They’re fading the scene out at that point though, so I can’t say 100% for sure. I think THAT scene is in FTL at a completely different point in the story.
Maybe he’s told not to go near that tree stump, but he goes and touches it, and it turns him into wood. Then whatever happens to him that results in him ending up in the lake. Then Geppetto finds him and he turns back into a real boy. Now I’m all kinds of curious as to how they’ve re-written the Pinocchio story and whether he started out human or puppet. Is it Sunday yet?!?!?
