But, no matter what, I’ll still like August. He wants to help Emma and he’s been really sweet to Henry. Besides, he’s too pretty hate.
That’s right. I said it. 😆
He IS quite pretty, so it’s a perfectly valid reason to like the character. Even if you don’t like who he is or what he’s saying, you can just look into his pretty blue eyes and tune out his voice. 😉

That is an interesting thought. I really am of the opinion that once under the affects of the curse, there is no going back. I really am wondering if August and Emma now submitted to the curse, can leave and “go back” to before the curse when they came. I don’t think whatever is happening to August will be fixed by trying leaving, if he can.
We’ve seen pics of him taking Emma out of town, so he can definitely still leave. I’m thinking that once Emma breaks the curse, whatever is happening to him will stop. That’s why he was telling the person on the phone they need to speed things up.

I keep thinking if he’s Pinnochio how sad that Gepetto doesn’t know who he is, yet.
I’ll bet August’s been watching his dad from afar, wishing he could just go up and hug him.

I hate to say it, but I have a feeling we are going to lose him by the end of the season.
I really don’t get the feeling they’d kill him off. If he is in fact Pinocchio, that means he has a very particular connection to Emma that no one else has, that they’re the only two characters from FTL that escaped the curse as children. That relationship has so much potential for development, and I’m not even strictly talking in a romantic sense, I mean that once Emma realises who they both are, she’ll have a bond with him like she’s never had with anyone in her life. They’ll pretty much be like family.
Also, the last guy Emma started to open up to and develop an emotional connection with, they killed him off. I doubt they’d pull that trick again, especially not in the first season. Or at least I hope they don’t and would be bummed if they do.

ParticipantOoooo, NICE!
I’d love some episode commentaries with Kitsis and Horowitz, so they can point out cool stuff people might have missed and explain how they came up with certain ideas.

The look on Regina’s face is priceless! 😮I kinda sorta actually bounced up and down in my seat and clapped when I watched this scene. Regina got OWNED.

My second thought is that the ball Mr. Gold is holding is perhaps a ball that used to belong to his son, Baelfire, in FTL. Perhaps Mr. Gold is going all sentimental on us, like he did over the chipped cup in episode 12.
Love that idea!

One of the most ironic things about that scene is that Regina did exactly what she warned Emma not to do in episode 8. Regina said, “[Mr. Gold’s] a snake. You don’t want to get into bed with him.” Regina seriously should have known better than to trust him. She also should have been more discerning. After all, Mr. Gold did tell her in episode 8, “I like small weapons you see: the needle, the pen, the fine point of a deal. Subtlety, not your style, I know.” In both that instance and the one in sneak peek, all Regina could manage to retort is, “You’re a bastard.” You’d think she learn. I love how episode 19 ties echoes lots of scenes in episodes 8 and 12, since all three episodes are written by the same screenwriter, Jane Espenson.
WORD to all of that! Regina’s problem is she thinks with her heart too much to the exclusion of her head. She should know better when dealing with Mr Gold of all people!

Also, poor August seems to be in a lot of pain. It’s as if last episode’s “shin-splints” have morphed into total body hardening. Could August be transforming into wood right before our very eyes?
I’d been on the fence with the whole turning back into wood theory, but after watching this, I think I’ve gotta jump on the bandwagon.

The writers cut a very important scene between Jefferson and August in episode 1×17, “”Hat Trick.” I think they did that for a reason. I think they’re working together and that’s who august was talking to on the phone.
Ooooo, good thinking! Loving the Jefferson idea!

Is the paperweight definitely a donkey? Perhaps it’s a boy turning into a donkey. Of, course, I don’t mind if its a human-donkey hybrid, like in the Pinocchio story.
Either would be fine in my book, but it just looks like a straight up donkey to me. 😉

Was that Ashley that came in the door with the food?
Nope, it’s a separate character, from memory she’s credited as “mute maid”.

And I agree that he was probably attacked by some of Rumpel’s enemies. However, I have a feeling the fairies had something to do with it. I doubt normal human beings would ever dare to attack Rumpel.
I could see other kids bullying Bae coz his dad’s a freak. Kids probably wouldn’t think of the potential danger of picking on the Dark One’s son like an adult might.
We don’t know what his reputation is at this point in time though. Maybe he’s considered somewhat of a hero by most people for saving the children from the war. Even if people know he’s the new Dark One, so far he appears to be using the power to do good instead of evil. Maybe it’s only Bae who’s really seen his dark side so far. And if that’s compounded by other kids giving him a hard time, I can see why that would all fuel his desire to rid his father of the curse.

The main thing Jane Esperson said that is driving me up the wall with wonder is:
There’s more than one way to [give a] clue.
What does that mean? Are we supposed to disregard the obvious and look for the extremely subtle?
Translation: “Anything could be a clue, the obvious stuff and all the other stuff you’re totally overlooking too. And stuff you think means one thing, could actually mean the opposite. Or stuff could actually mean what it obviously looks like and we’re just making you think that’s too obvious, so it can’t be true….but maybe it still is. Basically, y’all have no hope and are completely at the writers’ mercy. BWAHAHAHAHAA” 😛

ParticipantTime travel can get complicated. But if the other magical lands still exist and are going about their business as per usual at the same time the Storybrooke events are unfolding, and if Emma’s made a magical hat that can be used to travel between worlds, that wouldn’t actually involve time travel, just travel to a parallel world.
So, for example, if Bae is stuck in Neverland today, still the same age he was centuries ago, Mr Gold could just pop on over and find him. Though he’d need to find a way around the rules of “same number that go in must come out” if he wants to bring Bae back to Storybrooke.
