ParticipantI’ve got a funny feeling that this search for a way to save his father won’t end well for poor Bae. π
Prediction: The ep will show Rumple and Bae’s story in Fairytale, and Mr Gold and August’s storyline in Storybrooke, as misdirection to make everyone think he’s Bae. But then near the end of the ep, Bae will die.

ParticipantSo you’re looking forward to this ep a little bit? π
I’ve thought that the dagger is what Mr Gold was burying back when Graham ran into him in the woods. Now it seems that August has found it. We don’t know exactly how magic works in Storybrooke, (I’m talking about stuff other than the big curse). Obviously there’s some residual magic, like Regina’s hearts, so it’s probably safe to assume that the power dictating that whoever holds the dagger controls the Dark One would also still be in effect, (which would explain why Mr Gold buried it, so no one could get their grubby lil hands on it), which would be VERY interesting if August now holds the dagger.
I’m still TeamPinocchio. Even people who have seen all the spoilers can’t agree on who he is yet, so I’m REALLY looking forward to having that issue resolved one way or the other. LOL

Pinocchio is a large cuckoo clock I figured he either reverted back to wood or was an orphan boy similar to Ava and Nicholas. but I like the cuckoo clock idea better.
Dude, the only folks who are cuckoo are all you folks livin’ in denial not thinking he’s Pinocchio. π π π

ParticipantI’m super excited for the return of the dagger! Have suspected that’s what Mr Gold was burying the woods that time that Graham ran into him, and it looks like August somehow found it! Wonder if that’ll mean that August will have control over him now, (depends how the magic works in Storybrooke, if it works at all). Urgh, how are we supposed to wait 3 weeks for this?? LOL

ParticipantAngieBelle, a big WORD to your post. π
Even if the timing could somehow be made to work, I’d think that Mr Gold would recognise his own son, even if he hadn’t seen him since he was much younger. As a parent, he’d still recognise him, and would just be overjoyed to see him, so “tries to expose Augustβs true identity” doesn’t fit with the Bae theory at all IMO.
I’m having to slightly re-evaluate my theory on August though, because I’d been thinking Mr Gold had had August kinda working for him as an agent in the world outside Stroybrooke, but I’m not sure if that’ll fit with what we now know about this ep.

ParticipantI totally noticed that! Ooops. LOL

ParticipantEven before they mentioned DNA testing I was all, “If they send that thing for DNA testing and it comes back saying it’s Kathryn’s, no way am I believing it.” Regina has control over all that paperwork in that town and can make it say anything she pleases.
Definitely think it was figurative “magic” he was talking about. He had her stashed somewhere and planted her so she’d be found exactly when he wanted her to be.

ParticipantI still reckon Cora is the QoH, actually even moreso since seeing her pull that trick with Daniel’s heart. I got to wondering that was like her own patented move she’d come up with, like her trademark way of offing people, by tearing out their hearts.
Also, for what it’s worth, if you follow the Latin translation for name meanings, like Regina translates to queen, well, heart translates to cor. And heart in Spanish is corazon. So if Regina is the Evil QUEEN, then it makes sense to me that her mother Cora would be Queen of HEARTS.
Though I did like the idea that Regina got her powers by killing her mother, because Rumple told Charming that if Snow killed the EQ, she’d become as evil as the person whose life she takes. But I could still see that theory working in a similar way if Regina finds a way to steal her mother’s powers and then banishes her to Wonderland. Actually, stealing her powers would explain why Regina can do the same trick with removing hearts.
