ParticipantExactly! He’s such a pro at manipulating everyone, he even knows how to play Regina. So to see the tables turned and have HIM being the one who has been played in such a big way is gonna be fascinating. Can’t wait to see how he deals with it.

ParticipantI think Rumple’s experience with Belle likely inspired the curse. She’s not directly a part of it though, because he believes her to be dead. Which will make things interesting when Mr Gold finds out she’s alive, because he’s been very patient for several decades, waiting for events to play out to his advantage and Belle being in Storybrooke wasn’t a factor he’d considered in his plan, so that’ll come outta left field and totally throw him off.

@Phee: You know, it doesn’t matter that you see, read, watch spoilers. If the episode is good, no matter what, you’ll be surprised, overjoyed, excited, etc.
And by the looks of it, we still have six A M A Z I N G episodes to come. No matter what they hit us with, it’ll be a suprise (no amount of spoiler is going to change that).
With some shows, I’m all over spoilers. But in some cases, I prefer not to know so I can be all, “OMG I TOTALY DIDN’T SEE THAT COMING” and have my eyes bug out and my jaw drop while I’m watching. Once was gonna be one of those shows up until about a week ago when I started falling off the wagon. Ooops.

ParticipantWonder if we’ll see Maleficent in this one. You’d think they’d hafta show the scene where EQ goes to her for the sleeping curse to use on the apple, right?

ParticipantMaybe EQ sends the Huntsman out to capture Belle?
I know he didn’t stick to the plan when she sent him after Snow, but what with her having his heart in a box now, she probably knows she can trust him to follow orders, coz if he doesn’t, all she’s gotta do is squeeeeeeze. She could tell him that this is a chance to redeem himself, maybe even tell him she’ll set him free if he does this one task for her.
Edited to add that I could see EQ thinking that poor, heartbroken, angry Belle would be vulnerable to the Hunstman’s charms. If you get offered a rebound romp with that beefcake, you don’t turn it down, just sayin’. 😉 Belle would totally take the bait and walk right into EQ’s trap.

ParticipantRegarding Peter Pan, I thought I remembered reading somewhere that Kitsis and Horwitz said they don’t have the rights for those characters. Just googled it and found this from an Entertainment Weekly article:
What other characters are we going to see in Storybrooke?
So far the writers on Once have used characters from ABC’s parent company, Disney, and classic fairy-tale characters in the public domain to avoid dealing with outside rights, permissions, and fees. Kitsis points to Peter Pan, a personal favorite, as a character who won’t be popping up in Storybrooke anytime soon: “Unfortunately Peter Pan is not public domain, so that is a rights issue that has to be worked out. We’re hoping that someday we can, because it would be such a shame to not be able to have Captain Hook or Peter Pan on the show.”@infinitypalm wrote:
Another possible identity I find interesting is the 7-year-old boy who found baby Emma on the side of the road. In fact, this is what Emma was reading about in her files moments before August first arrived in Storybrooke (Ep. 9 “True North”). What if the boy actually saw the baby appear out of nowhere, got curious about what he had seen, and became determined to figure out what had happened?
The math seems to add up. 7-year-old boy + 28-year-old Emma = 35 years, which is the age of Eion Bailey, the actor who plays August.
Also, August did refer to himself as a “believer.” Did his faith in what he had seen lead him to become interested in magic or other worlds?
If August did find baby Emma, could this have something to do with how Gold found baby Henry for Regina? Could August have been in contact with Gold before? Did August help track Emma/Henry down? Did he work with Gold to make the book?
The theory I’m currently subscribing to is that Geppetto made a deal with Rumple to save Pinocchio from the curse. The “payment” for that deal had something to do with Pinocchio being a guardian of sorts for Emma. Which would mean he picked her up when they came through to our world, and has been shadowing her her whole life, working as Mr Gold’s “man on the outside” (of Storybrooke). If Mr Gold can’t leave Storybrooke, he’d have needed someone out there helping steer people in the right direction to set up his master plan. Emma had to hook up with Henry’s dad, Emma had to end up in jail so she had no choice but to give Henry up, Mr Gold needed that specific child to be sent to Storybrooke for Regina. And he needed someone to write the book. It’d be hard for him to watch over and manufacture all of those events on his own if he’s trapped in Storybrooke, (with the possible exception of writing the book, which I guess he could have done himself, but then why all the stuff about August being a writer and showing him altering the book instead of Mr Gold?). He needed a right hand man and August/Pinocchio was it. That’s what I think for now at least.

ParticipantMaaaannnn, I was so adamant I wasn’t gonna spoil myself and yet I keep peeking at treads like this! Hopeless. LOL Someone take my computer away from me so I can’t keep looking.

ParticipantHe can’t see the future IMO. He decides what he wants to happen, tells people it’s gonna happen, then manipulates them into whatever positions they need to be in to make it happen. End result is it looks like he predicted it when in fact he just engineered the whole situation.
He knew the arrow would hit David because he gave them both the same map, told them both where to go, and I believe that was Cupid’s bow and arrow, so it he knew Snow was destined to shoot Charming with it.
He said he was invested in Snow’s future because he was setting her and Charming up to give him the ingredients to make love, so he could then include their love (ie: Emma) as the antidote to the curse he was planning on creating.

ParticipantThat’s fun! 😉
Mia, it’s a song, originally from the 60s but I think it’s probably been covered a bunch of times over the years. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9-rbklQm3s&feature=fvwrel

ParticipantI doubt these creators/writers would have cast the role of Belle like they did if they didn’t have a definite plan for the character to play a pivotal role. They knew Emilie from her days on Lost, so I’m guessing they wrote Belle with her in mind, so they have a plan and whatever it is, it’ll be good stuff, of this I’m sure.
I wouldn’t want to see her killed off. I’d like to see Rumple having to work at it to win back her love, which will ultimately be his redemption and her salvation.
