ParticipantI’m not really suggesting an actual relationship, more like their already existing relationship evolving to the point where it could happen and then seeing how they’d each react. Honestly, I’ve just never really got the mother/son vibe from them. That scene where he was all wet and nekkid when she came into his apartment, I was almost saying, “Oh just do it already would you, the bed is right there,” such was the tension. So, yeah, if he ends up being revealed as her son, I’ll be needing some brain bleach. LOL

ParticipantFor all the amazing people in here who love HTGAWM, LET’S TALK ABOUT THAT TWIST.
Like Jo said, come stop by the Murder thread. There is much chit being chatted about.
I wrote this up for tumblr about the Manhattan stuff –
Those are all interesting points, and through SF goggles it all makes sense. At the moment though, my SF goggles have a cynical filter on them, so I’m more inclined to file things under, “they’re out of original ideas and are subconsciously rehashing stuff” as opposed to, “they’re deliberately writing in parallels”. I would love to be proven wrong, I just can’t bring myself to have that kinda hope. *sigh*

ParticipantHaving thought some more about the son theory, I’m still willing to accept Wes’ born in Haiti story as fact, unless and until we’re shown differently.
However, I think it’s entirely possible that Annalise could have been browsing the waitlist, researching who was on it to see if she wanted to pick one, seen a pic of Wes and thought, “Oh Lord he looks just like the daddy of that baby I gave up just over 20 years ago.” But because I’m accepting that Wes was born in Haiti, I would imagine that Annalise would have looked him up and found out about that and discovered he wasn’t her son after all. But by then she’d have already gotten a bit attached to him, gotten a bit nostalgic about that guy who Wes reminded her of, so she decided to take him under her wing anyway.
With Sam gone, Nate being a mistake, and Annalise working secretly with Wes, I see potential for her developing a more problematic bond with him because he reminds her of the guy she once loved, and it could build up until a line gets crossed and Wes is, “WHOA WHUT,” and that could lead into learning more about Annalise’s life pre-Sam, which could even potentially set up a storyline where she decides to try and track her long lost son down. I think something like that would probably make for a deeper, more compelling story that digs into another layer of Annalise’s emotional vulnerability, rather than Surprise!Son!Wes.

ParticipantWe need some happy up in here.
This is for anyone who loves themselves some Ichabod Crane
Whenever I see one of those moments on Sleepy Hollow, for a few moments I’m just overcome with the adorkableness…then I lament how this should also be a big thing on OUAT but it’s barely ever addressed.

ParticipantLinked for a tiny bit of language because it’s brilliant.
*dances away singing* He had it comin’, he had it comin’, he only had himself to blaaaaaammmme…Phee
ParticipantWhat if Wes is really Annalise’s!
Then I’ll be squicked out because the actors have crazy chemistry to the point where I almost wanna ship them. LOL
Seriously though, I’ve seen a few people mention this theory here and there, and I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if at some point a Surprise!Offspring of Annalise’s shows up, and whatever happened with that pregnancy is why she couldn’t carry another child to term in later years.

ParticipantWe never did see a face in the tavern.
No we didn’t, but it’s pretty unmistakeably Sean Maguire’s head IMO, (he’s got a longer, kinda squareish shaped head that’s pretty distinct).
If they wanna go and say that the pixie dust got it wrong, I think they’d have to do something like say that because it was stolen it was tainted and thereby caused Regina to steal someone else’s soulmate. But I doubt they’ll go that route.

ParticipantDidn’t Wes say he was born in Haiti and his mother brought him to the States?
*goes to rewatch*
“I wasn’t born in Ohio, I was born in Haiti. My mom moved us here when I was one. I was the only black kid in our town.”
So unless he was lied to about where he was born, or Sam took a vacay in Haiti, ’tis not possible.

ParticipantI have a couple of theories, a little one that I’m gonna stick with and something more crack that I’ll probably end up changing my mind about, but gonna put it out there anyway…
1) The scales from the trophy were in the bag that Michaela busted open, and they fell out onto the ground and will be found there.
2) This has been eating away at me since last week when Lila went to Annalise’s place and called out for her. I wonder if Annalise went to find her after that, and killed her, and all this stuff with trying to get evidence to incriminate Sam was her trying to get away with murder. Now that he’s “disappeared” she figures it’s a bonus because they can still pin the pregnancy DNA evidence on him, and it makes him look more guilty because he “ran away”, and that will make it easier for her to get away with it. I wasn’t so sure about the idea after last week, just because she seemed to be genuinely discovering the affair over the course of the show. But now having seen this week’s, now knowing that girlfriend can act her rear end off if need be to try and divert suspicion from herself…I am officially suspicious.
Then my next question is, if that ends up being right, that she killed Lila and is trying to frame Sam, all of that is gonna go to crap once it’s discovered that he didn’t run away, he was killed, (and you know that that’s gonna come out), so then what would Annalise’s next move be?
(I’ve totally be spamming this thread, but I keep having things pop into my head and I’ve gotta let them out.)

ParticipantI enjoyed how awkward the Bonnie/Asher sex scene was. Everyone else gets slick looking hot sex scenes, and Asher gets the bumbling, uncomfortable, awkward sex scene, which just seems so perfectly fitting. LOL
What I wouldn’t give to see Annalise’s face when she walked in and saw Sam on the floor. Please let this be a thing we still get to see.
How much of this did Annalise set up? I’ve seen some talk on tumblr…
People do realize that Annalise told Wes about the baby knowing he’d tell Rebecca who she knows is reckless…she gets rid of bonnie who is always there! she then started an argument with Sam even purposely pushed his buttons leaving him heated and temperamental she leaves lets the first part of the downfall play out.
On the one hand, I could buy it, because it would certainly explain why she told Wes about the pregnancy, and that seemed like an odd thing to confide in him because of course she’d know he’d tell Rebecca.
But I dunno that Annalise’s anticipated endgame would have been Sam ending up dead, because how could she have known for sure that that would happen? Unless she really does believe that Rebecca is capable of murder, and murdering a man much bigger than her at that?
I can see her setting it up as far as wanting it to appear that she was pushed into getting the DNA tests of Lila’s teachers. That would have been enough to publicly humiliate Sam, potentially get him convinced of murder, and she’d be rid of him. But I think the part where he ended up dead was probably a bonus she hadn’t been anticipating.
