ParticipantThe WL episodes were took place during OUAT’s S2. This has been confirmed by A and E in interviews, twitter, and there were clues in WL itself.
It’s possible that the majority of Wonderland (from the start to Cylice’s wedding took place during season 2) but the ending where Alice is talking to her child is the future so there is a period of time between the wedding and the ending that the writers could play with.
I honestly don’t see ScarlettBeauty being a long lasting thing because it is clear that Belle is not over Rumple because of how upset she gets when he comes up in conversation. It also seems a little suspicious that Cruella and Ursula tell Rumple that Belle has moved on despite there being evidence to the contrary then all of a sudden when he sees Belle she has indeed seemingly moved on. Cruella and Ursula have only been in town 2 days, there’s no way Belle could go from tearing up at the mere mention of Rumple to jumping head first into a new relationship in such a short amount of time. That kiss though wasn’t a “friendship” kiss. Had it been on the cheek, you could assume that Rumple had jumped to the wrong idea but on the lips, that’s a more involved kiss.

ParticipantThat act majorly tarnished Emma for me, like, MAJORLY. But Rumple’s still the one who drank the thing to wipe his memory. It was possibly the most OOC thing they’ve made Rumple do, considering how at that point in time, all he cared about was having a life with his son again, yet he effectively sentenced him to death when he was in a position where he could have saved him instead.
I give Rumple a pass on this because he was super edgy about changing time anyway and Emma did hit him with the emotional blackmail of Bae died a hero “Don’t take that away from him”. With Rumple’s negative experiences of being a coward, the last thing he’d want to do is change time and cause his son to become a coward. Rumple was part of the established timeline so he couldn’t change any events otherwise he might not have even met Baelfire again. Emma could’ve done something though like leave a clue that wouldn’t have affected any events leading up to the dark curse but would make sense like a “beware Tamara” or something like that.
I cannot believe Emma let that one slide, because his lying to her about the small things ought to raise a red flag that he’s lying to her about the big things. Her “only wanting to see the best in other people” is going to come back to bite her, like her decision to let Ursula and Cruella into town. When Emma finds out her parents are lying to her, it’s probably going to make her question their ethos about seeing only the good in other people, while willfully ignoring the bad. Emma was a bit jaded before, because so many people let her down, and I think she’s going to see the darker aspects of a person’s character, including her own, and hopefully, of Hook. There is a lot she doesn’t know about him still, despite the fact that she opened up to him about her past.
I agree. Emma not bothering to find out the connection between Hook and Ursula is really dumb on her part. At the very least, she needs to know if whatever went down between Hook and Ursula has the potential to cause harm to Henry i.e. Ursula seeks revenge and goes after the most vulnerable person within Hook’s social circle which would be Henry.
Also it bugged me that Emma got so uppity about Hook lying about Ursula when he’d been lying about his connection to Nealfire from day one. Hook should’ve had a conversation with Emma about Milah in regards to the fact that Milah was the mother of Baelfire who Emma had a child with. It’s not just a talk about an ex, it’s about the connection and impact the relationship with said ex has on CS and Emma’s relationship with Baelfire.
Hook has so many skeletons in his closet that Emma doesn’t even know about. It’s as if Emma willfully turns a blind eye, because once she opens that door, it’s like opening up a Pandora’s box. Maybe Emma is oddly afraid of what she might find? Because then she would actually have to admit to herself, that no, she’s not dating a “reformed” bad-boy with a mark in the hero’s column. Hook probably fears her discovering that for herself, which is why he consistently withholds or omits the truth from her. He probably fears she’d reject him otherwise. Hook is Emma’s Mr. Wrong, because Mr. Right’s don’t lie, cheat, and steal to get their way with you. Maybe Emma doesn’t want to admit she fell for a cad. (Or as Jo said, maybe the physical attraction is just blinding Emma).
That’s an interesting line of thinking that Emma doesn’t want to see the bad in Hook. She doesn’t want to see that she picked another bad relationship. CS have got to be heading for a fall because if they weren’t, why not have Hook be open and honest with Emma and have her be peachy with it? Why have him lying and hiding things? Perhaps Emma will end up hooking up with Will Scarlett by series end? ScarlettSwan

ParticipantI can see why this secret wasn’t revealed in the echo cave because a lot of people know about it, at least 5, so it’s not really a secret.

ParticipantSomeone is really going to have to explain Mal’s present day SB clothing choice to me
They took Zelena’s costume and turned it white.

ParticipantI hope it’s something bigger than that. I hope it’s something like, she actually WAS a goddess, and something Hook did stripped her of her goddess powers and immortality, and turned her into a mere octohuman.
Oh I like that a lot
And it would go well with what A and E said about how it’s soul crushing
I agree. However, timeline wise, Ursula was still a goddess in Ariel which takes place either before or after Snow Falls and we know Hook was in the EF at that time. It’s possible this Ursula could’ve been named after that Ursula however with Poseidon as Ursula’s father, that would suggest that Ursula really was a goddess. So brought down to normal by Hook is the most likely, but timeline wise it doesn’t make sense.

ParticipantLiked:
Geppetto standing up to Regina- I’m glad they had Geppetto do this instead of playing the “poor Regina” routine and letting Regina get away with it unchallenged.
Regina genuinely apologising for shouting at Pinocchio- Finally a genuine heartfelt apology from Regina! I hope we see more of Regina apologising to people she has upset. This apology was so much better than the fake one she gave Belle because here she apologised because it was the right thing to do instead of wanting to get something from it. The fact that Regina expected to walk away with nothing and instead received help from Geppetto was a heartwarming moment and genuinely felt like Regina is truly redeeming herself instead of having her past misdeeds whitewashed by other characters.
Belle standing up to Cruella and Ursula- It was great seeing Belle be a bit feisty instead of an easy target for the seasonal arc villain.
Emma calls Hook out on not being honest and sends him away- It was nice to see Emma and Hook interact in a way that doesn’t involve pining, yearning or kissing. Emma’s a smart woman, it’s about time to see her demand answers instead of being placated with “don’t worry your pretty little head about it”.
Cruella- I hope Cruella sticks around because she’s great. Her voice can be a bit iffy at times but her snark, especially the scene in Granny’s Diner was brilliant.
Mixed:
Rumple sees ScarlettBeauty- Rumple said nothing but you could feel his heart break at seeing Belle with another man. Great acting from Robert Carlyle.
The baby rattle- The reveal that Maleficent had a child was obvious but I did like how the “totem” was actually a rattle, I wasn’t expecting that. It’s obvious who the child is though.
Disliked:
Regina shouting at Pinocchio- It was uncalled for but I’m glad Regina genuinely apologised for it.
ScarlettBeauty- This ship is wrong. Both participants clearly aren’t over their other halves and that is unfair and unsatisfying to both that they are using each other in such a way. Clearly the writers haven’t learnt that a love triangle is not a good thing the first 3 times they tried it.
Snow- Snow this episode couldn’t give a damn about anyone but herself, it was all about making sure Snow came out smelling of roses. So long as Snow and her family is okay, who gives a crap about anyone else.
Snow asking Regina to go under cover- This is typical selfish Snow. Regina’s worked hard to redeem herself and to have people acknowledge that. Now Snow is asking her to risk all that just so Snow can keep her secret from Emma. Regina obviously can’t go telling everyone she’s undercover in ase word gets back to the QoD so people are going to think Regina has really backslid again.
Snowing chicken out of telling Emma the truth- The whole set up of the scene was cheesy, they come to tell Emma the truth just as Emma is telling Hook how much she trusts her parents because they would NEVER lie to her. Reality check Emma, your parents have lied to you and kept things from you in previous seasons.
Emma summoning Hook- This bugged me because it made it seem like Hook is at Emma’s beck and call. She clicks her fingers, he comes running. She says jump, he asks how high.
Emma not bothering to find out what Hook did to Ursula and hand waving his lies- Hook wasn’t honest about how he knew Neal because of Milah. Emma needs honesty from Hook not just drop it because he doesn’t want to talk about it.

ParticipantI don’t think Lily is Regina’s biological child. There is no way Cora would’ve risked Regina’s position as Queen by allowing the baby to go full term if it was Daniel’s baby. She would’ve given Regina a magic-miscarriage or something equally as horrible. If Cora was going to let the baby go full term then it would only be so she could pass it off as Leopold’s child in which case why get rid of it as it would’ve secured Regina’s position as queen? Regina and Leopold were married not long after Daniel’s death, so if Regina wasn’t aware of the pregnancy at that stage, it would’ve been feasible to pass the baby off as Leopold’s unlike Cora’s pregnancy where she was too far gone to feasibly pass it off as Leopold’s since she just met him when she was already 2 months gone.

ParticipantBae is back, but as a young boy, similar to August being de-aged into Pinocchio.
I actually wouldn’t mind this scenario so much as it would still allow room for the Rumple and Henry aspects of Baelfire’s story to be explored. I honestly don’t know why the writers didn’t go this route in the first place. Having to de-age Nealfire to save his life would still give the tragedy of losing Neal but would throw up a whole lot of other story potential: How would Henry deal with having a father only slightly older than himself who doesn’t remember he has a son? How would Rumple react to having a son who is still angry at him for letting him go? How would Baelfire react to finding out he’s done all these things and loved all these people but can’t remember any of it? How would Emma react to the man she loved no longer existing but still being alive? etc.
I have no clue what Hook’s role in the show as it currently stands is supposed to be other than “bad boy love interest” for Emma, even then the “bad boy” part is debateable as the writers are trying to force him into hero territory. Hook needs Baelfire to be relevant to the show since the whole rivalry with Rumple is irrelevant since Hook has “moved on” from Milah. Hook is just there now for the sake of being there, he could be taken out and replaced with any other guy to serve as Emma’s love interest and you would still have exactly the same story. Neverland should have been Hook’s time to shine in his own right, and the writers wasted that opportunity with the CSF triangle which didn’t actually go anywhere and was resolved by killing off the hypotenuse.
I think CS could possibly be heading for a fall. They’re not the writers’ favourite couple anymore since OQ came on the scene with the writers trying to ram OQ down the audience’s throats. CS have had it too easy for too long so some angst is heading their way.

ParticipantI thought Emma gave the SwanFire necklace to Henry in a deleted scene which is why she’s not wearing it anymore?
