ParticipantDay 13- Favourite Canon Ship (In-show Past or Present)
RumBelle- They’re my OTP. I’ve always loved couples where at least one half is a “villain” because of the conflicting interests. I find RumBelle so interesting because it’s not the stereotypical pairing of beautiful girl and handsome prince. RumBelle are the very essence of hope on the show for me, that no matter how badly you screw up or how unlovable you think you are, there is always someone who will love you for being you and see the best in you even when you can’t see it yourself and will try and help you be the best you can be. Whilst Rumple gets a lot out of the relationship, so doe Belle. She found someone who treated her as an equal, who respects her, who lets her have her own opinion, who loves Belle for who she is, something she may not have gotten in FTL if she’d married Gaston.
I also love how RumBelle weren’t love at first sight. It took them time to get used to each other and they developed a friendship before diving into anything romantic.

ParticipantDay 12-Least Favourite Villain
Zelena- I thought I was really going to like Zelena when she was first introduced but then Quiet Minds happened where Zelena was a right cow then It’s not Easy being Green happened where Zelena was so annoying and bratty, and her general behaviour towards Rumple, I wasn’t sorry that she then died the way she did.
Zelena’s backstory in It’s not easy being green was weak at best. Envy is not a strong motivation. She seemed nice until she found out she had a sister who she initially seemed excited about but then all of a sudden turned on without saying so much as a word to Regina. It would’ve been more interesting if Regina had actually slighted Zelena or if WickedSisters were actually getting along until someone slipped Regina a forgetting potion and Zelena felt rejected by Regina.
However, I don’t hate Zelena. I just think she’s a little under-developed and could’ve benefitted from not being the main big bad for 4B. They could’ve made the WickedSisters plotline a long-term sub-plot and developed Zelena a bit more.

ParticipantYou seem tense RG.
I only brought up Buffy because you said it would be “odd that they would introduce something so *very* evil […] for only one episode before returning to Mal, Cruella, and Ursula…three villains who will pale beside the Lord of All Evil… ”
I was merely making the comparison that introducing the ultimate big bad for one episode only to bring them back in a larger capacity later on has been done before. I was also pointing out that both Buffy and Once has Jane Espenson in common. At no point was I saying that Once was going to follow in Buffy’s footsteps.

ParticipantDay 11- Favourite Villain
Cora- Pan is a very close second and Robbie Kay’s acting was brilliant but Cora just clinches it. Cora was the original villainous relative before every villain was then related to Henry’s family tree. Cora was so set on her goals and had strongly justified them in her mind that she couldn’t see that what she was doing was wrong. She thought nothing about killing Daniel and killing Snow’s mother so Regina could take her place because she believed she was doing what was best for Regina.
Cora was a good villain because she didn’t think she was a villain. In Cora’s mind, she probably thought she was being a good mother and couldn’t understand why Regina wasn’t appreciative of her efforts. I think Cora is interesting when it comes to the heart thing because in regards to baby Zelena, it shows that people can be heartless even with their hearts.

ParticipantIf she is Meg, then theoretically Hades would be the next logical step in some form.

ParticipantIt just strikes me as odd that they would introduce something so *very* evil as Satan-Stand-In-Chernabog for only one episode before returning to Mal, Cruella, and Ursula…three villains who will pale beside the Lord of All Evil…
In Buffy, they introduced The First in an episode of one of the earlier seasons then had The First be the big bad of the final season.

ParticipantSo hows about we get back to talking about this synopsis, eh?
where do u guys think Cruella is currently residing in our world? A Zoo? its odd that she is wearing her FTL clothes. My main issue with Cruella residing in the real world (Ursula can get away with it because she looks nothing like her Disney counterpart) is that, since the Mulan Disney movie exists in-universe (Neal mentioned it to Mulan) that means that any Disney film that came before which includes 1o1 Dalmations exists in universe too. We know Cruella’s car has the license plate De Vil, so how come nobody has noticed that Cruella looks exactly like Cruella out of 101 Dalmations? Unless Cruella has a job pretending to be her Disney self but that would get confusing.

ParticipantThe difference between the huntsman and Hook though is that Regina could’ve killed the huntsman at any time so he had no choice if he wanted to continue to live, even then he defied Regina and helped Charming escape. Hook wasn’t going to be killed before a certain time, Rumple made it clear he WAS going to be killed so Hook had no reason not to do all he could to make things extremely difficult for Rumple because Rumple couldn’t kill him until the stars had aligned. Until the conversation with Emma where he WAS being puppeted (and still had an ounce of free will to grab her hand and let her know something was wrong), Hook could’ve defied Rumple even if it meant Rumple ended up puppeting him every minute until the time was right. Unless the heart is being actively puppeted, the person has some free will.
Graham had to do what Regina wanted because staying in her good books was the difference between him dying and staying alive, Hook was going to be dead either way so why did it matter if he stayed on Rumple’s good side or not. You’d think he’d want to be a thorn in Rumple’s side to the bitter end.
Nobody is saying that Rumple was right in doing what he did. At best, it’s a case of right motivation but wrong methods. But Hook is no innocent little saint victim.
