ParticipantI wish they would at least get Dylan back on the show or do a spin off covering Bae’s time in Neverland.

ParticipantI agree Keb. It’s why I think the 11 episode arcs have had a detrimental effect on Once. Whilst it is nice to have 11 episodes in a row, there isn’t time for the character moments, it’s all plot and shiny things and new villains. Whereas in season 1 and 2, Storybrooke had that small town feel, now it feels like Storybrooke is solely populated by the Charmillstiltskin clan because we so rarely see the other characters now.

ParticipantI have hope that Neal may return.
Firstly, I think season 5 will be the last. They could possibly push it out to a 6th season but Robert Carlyle was only signed up for 5 seasons and A&E said they had enough material for 5 seasons. If Once lost RC or Lana Parilla, the show would start sinking quite rapidly. Losing JMo or EdR would damage it badly too.
Secondly, It’s a little bit too late in the show now to be introducing another love interest for Emma especially if they are intending on that particular romance being endgame for Emma. This makes me think that unless the writers intend for Emma to end the series single (which is perfectly fine since Emma doesn’t “need” a man to get her happy ending), if Emma does end the series with someone, it’s got to be someone we’ve already met and she’s established a romantic relationship with at some point.
Thirdly, It’s not going to be Graham or Walsh. Both actors are busy doing other things. Jamie Dornan’s got The Fall and Fifty Shades of Grey and other stuff, whilst Walsh’s actor whose name I can’t remember has that show and I can’t remember what it’s called either. So it’s either Hook or Neal.
Fourthly, for other true love couple’s on the show, they’ve had to overcome obstacle after obstacle to be together, then if everything is going well they aren’t on screen. See Snowing and RumBelle. CS have had pretty smooth sailing so far yet are still front and centre which makes me think they’re going to have a massive bust up soon. It’s too soon to have Emma settled with her happy ending guy.
Fifthly, Henry doesn’t like Hook. Whilst children shouldn’t dictate their parent’s love lives, at the same time the relationship can’t work if the child does not accept their parent’s partner.
Sixly, Belle had that line about true love overcoming death in her wedding vows plush the SwanFire hints throughout 4A.
Seventhly, Hook is keeping so many secrets from Emma. There’s a difference between a little mystery in the relationship and knowing zilch about your partner. The whole Milah thing for example. Yes people don’t tend to talk about ex-partners in a current relationship but there’s a difference between ex-partner and mother of your son’s father.
That’s all I can think of for now because I’ve been drinking and now I’m feeling merry and it’s great.

ParticipantI think the writers don’t know what to do with Henry any more. Considering he was once a major character, he’s kind of just drifted into the background throughout 3B and 4A. The Neverland arc was full of wasted opportunities including giving Henry something to actually do.

ParticipantJust had a thought. What if it is Red that is pregnant? She’d fit in the criteria of the spoiler and because of the wolf thing, her children would kind of be “puppies” which would then play into Cruella being on the show. They can’t really have Cruella going after normal puppies because it’s not kid friendly, the audience won’t stand for it and, besides Pongo, there aren’t any other dogs on the show. Going after Red’s “puppy” would still kind of tie into Cruella’s original motivation, still make Cruella seem a threat, but would give a bit of distance where the audience won’t have to worry about about Cruella trying to make a coat out of actual puppies.
