I agree with Keb and Obisgirl. Regina was at fault for her Evil Queen stage. To take away her culpability is to take away Regina’s need for redemption. Also painting Regina as a victim all her life is a major disservice to her character.

Why doesn’t Dopey speak? I think they should really explore that and give it an OUAT twist. I know hr doesn’t speak in the cartoon but they gave Grumpy a reason for why he’s grumpy. So why not Dopey.

Dopey’s a mute. He could be an elective mute?

The fact that Henry confessed he never liked Hook and that he is not okay with Emma dating the “dirty pirate” seems to suggest that to me. In the end, Emma just cannot end up with someone whom Henry is unhappy about including in their family.

I agree. That’s not to say that Henry should be able to dictate Emma’s love life but his opinion does need to be taken into consideration if Emma is thinking of commitment with a guy. Emma and Henry come as a package, it’s together or not at all, the guy can’t pick and choose which is what Hook is trying to do. He wants Emma but not Henry and there is no way Emma would give up Henry for Hook.

If Emma and Hook do end up together, then the writers have to show Hook have genuine concern and love for the boy, and show Henry return Hook’s fatherly feelings. However, that just isn’t what’s been happening. Instead, Hook was only shown as being interested in whether Emma claimed they were “together.” Hook isn’t at all motivated by love for Henry the way Neal was shown obviously to be concerned with his son. As Will Scarlet said, Hook was just spending time with Henry to get in with the mother. “No one will see through that,” Will remarked sardonically. Since this story is supposed to be just as much Henry’s fairytale as it is Emma’s, I fail to see how Henry gaining a step-father he despises is supposed to be Henry’s idea of a happy ending. No! Clearly, the best case scenario for Henry would be to have his father back in his life–the father who loved his son and twice gave his life to save him.

I agree. Hook hasn’t made any real attempt to bond with Henry for Henry’s sake, it’s all been for Emma’s benefit. I would love to see flashbacks of Emma and Henry in New York and Walsh’s courtship of Emma. Henry was pretty accepting of Walsh into the family so it would be interesting to see how Walsh’s method of bonding with Henry compare to Hook’s.

You mean he bats for the home team Watcher.

A&E lie. They could’ve also done it to try and throw people off the scent. Also, they could’ve done it because they want the audience to worry that their favourite characters could actually die so that the regular life and death situations on the show are actually threatening rather than the audience being “So and so just keeled over! Never mind he’ll be back soon”.

Both Emma and Rumple have ties to Neal and considering the massive story arc both are having at the moment, it would seem a little out of place not to have Neal come back in some way. Rumple is on a very slippery slope, he’s lost Belle, lost Bae, lost his power, Bae needs to come back and inspire his father to redeem himself.

I thought Lil Rabbit Guy could go anywhere? Was this said in show or in an interview?

It was said in show. The rabbit couldn’t get Will from Storybrooke before season 2 because there was no magic there, once the magic was there, he could go.

In regards to Gold getting by, I found this gif on tumblr that shows Gold still has his wedding ring even though he is without other stuff such as cuff links. So I agree Rumple probably sold what ever he had on him except his wedding ring to get by.

I had a thought the other day. With season 5 potentially being the last season of Once (A&E said they had enough material for 5 seasons, Robert Carlyle was signed for 5 seasons, etc), If Emma is going to end the series with anyone, it’s going to have to be someone she’s already in a relationship with on the show or has been in a relationship with on the show. It’s too late now to build up a new relationship with a new character and present it as Emma’s true love with only 33 episodes left (if season 5 is the last).

Walsh and Graham aren’t coming back anytime soon because their actors have other commitments (Jamie Dornan has The Fall and Fifty Shades of Grey, whilst Walsh’s actor who’s name I can’t remember has that show who’s name I also can’t remember). This leaves only Hook and Neal as possible candidates.

With Neal currently dead, it seems like Hook is going to be the one. However, it seems a little to early within the show to hook Emma up with the guy she’s going to live “happily ever after” with when there is still a season and a half to go.

If the writers are aiming for some big angst for CS which splits the couple up but they get back together, then they are leaving it too late unless Emma is very forgiving and OOC. Emma seems like a “one chance and you’re gone” girl. Once you’ve betrayed her, that’s it your gone from her life, game over. She did it with Neal (when she thought he set her up to take the fall for him), she did it with Lily (when Lily lied to her), she did it to Ingrid (when Ingrid pushed her in front of the car), she did it with Walsh (when he turned into a flying Monkey), when Hook betrays Emma, she’s going to be done with him.

The writers don’t like writing happy ships, if they do they get pushed to the background (Snowing and happy RumBelle), when there’s major angst they’re in the foreground (RumBelle and OQ last episode). CS have had fairly smooth sailing so far yet haven’t been pushed to the background so what gives?

I think Neal could be coming back, possibly end of 4B/season 5. He’s connected to too many characters to be gone for good so early in the series. Why bother making MRJ a regular when recurring status would have suited better. For example: See Sean Maguire during season 4. I think the writers were pressurised by ABC to pursue CS but since storywise they wanted to do SF, they decided to kill off Neal (since CS couldn’t happen with him around) which freed MRJ to do other stuff whilst they pursued the CS storyline with the intention to bring back Neal once CS had run it’s course.

SwanFire was set up in season 1, why wait until season 2 to introduce Hook? “Captain Hook” may have been subject to rights issues but “Killian Jones” wasn’t. They could’ve done what they did with Whale and keep Hook’s identity a secret until they had sorted out the rights issues. Also if they really wanted to pursue CS, why didn’t they actually have a scene of EMMA CHOOSING Hook over Neal (which would’ve avoided “CS only happened because Neal is dead”). If the writers wanted CS to be the ultimate ending for Emma, why haven’t they set it up that way? They have the SwanFire hints in season 4 (Almost as if they don’t want Neal to be forgotten by the audience), I just don’t get the vibe that CS is going to last.

If Neal hasn’t reappeared by end of 4B/ early 5A (since 5B would seem a little too late) then obviously I’ll have to rethink my theory about CS not lasting, but until then I have hope.

Also, being this is FTL, they might be willing to look past common genetic logic, in regards to Joanna being Latina, while Ursula and Poseidon are African American. Not to mention, Poseidon’s wife could still be white. I mean, I recall a few people theorizing about Tamara being Robin Hood and Marian’s daughter back in late Season 2, despite Robin being white. Though, for all we know, Ariel might not be related to Poseidon and/or Triton at all in this version.

Roland was white despite Marian being black so it is possible.

It’s also possible that Ursula could be Poseidon’s sister who was disowned which would explain why Ariel didn’t know her since Triton might not even know she was family. Ariel said she hadn’t been seen for over 1000 years. I don’t know how long mermaids live or how quick they age, but 100 years sounds a lot older than Ariel’s aunt. Also why was Ursula so tentacley in both Regina’s interpretation and the statue yet current Ursula was very humanoid with some tentacles coming from her dress? Is current Ursula meant to be the same Ursula from Ariel or is it perhaps a family name that gets passed down the generations?

I called that the puppy could be Cruella after I saw it in the promo. That puppy did not look “innocent”.

I think Cruella has to be able to do more than just shapeshift, after all if she is hanging around with Maleficent (who can turn into a dragon amongst other things) and Ursula (a sea witch/goddess) then she must bring more to the table than just shapeshifting.
