Makes you wonder why children were being drafted when there were adults in Rumple’s village that could have fought. Morraine’s father being one of them. Even if women weren’t expected to fight, why did they go for kids including girls and not the adults?

    RegalHook?

I wonder if Rumple realising his destiny is him realising that if he stays fighting, he’s going to die. Hence he runs away and becomes the village coward.

I noticed that too but I think this time this is more to do with having an outfit specific to facilitate horse riding.

I agree. I think it is just Regina’s riding outfit.

Granny said her brothers were in the second ogre war.
We know Rumple fought in the first and Belle’s village was likely in the middle of the third.

Question is, was Bae being drafted into the second ogre war or was the first war still ongoing?

Let’s not forget that Zoso insinuated that Bae was not Rumple’s biological son. I think we’re going to see more of Rumple and Milah’s marriage. Perhaps before he went to the ogre wars and just after he returns. I don’t think they will show much of the ogre wars as such because this is a family programme and I imagine the ogre wars to be really gruesome. They’ll probably show snippets revolving around Rumple and his role in the wars and then imply the horror and terror that is involved. Sometimes leaving things up to your audience’s imagination is more effective than actually showing it.

I don’t think Bae would be excited to see Rumple. Even less so seeing Rumple use magic against someone since Bae thought magic was making Rumple worse hence why he wanted Rumple to stop being the dark one in The Return.

    Snow: This camping holiday sucks!
Emma: I did tell you this was a bad idea. At the very least we should’ve brought some supplies but no, you wanted the true wilderness experience.

Snow: Emma, A giant bird is on my shoulder. I don’t like it, what do I do?
Emma: That looks like it could feed the both of us tonight.

Emma: Hold still, I’m going to shoot it.

Snow: That arrow was really close to my face! Couldn’t you have waited until the bird flew off or something?

    Snow: I could have died!
Emma: Oh stop being a drama queen! I hit the bird not you.

I think Cora is the more powerful one only because she is willing to go further than Rumple. Rumple would never deliberately put Belle or Bae in harm’s way whereas Cora would with Regina if it suited her needs at the time.

When I think of these two, I think of a line from one of the songs from Hunchback of Notre Dame, “What makes a monster and what makes a man?” Rumple has lines that he won’t cross whereas Cora would happily skip across them with a smile on her face. The fact that Cora has no boundaries means that she is not limited in what she can and won’t do.
