August- I liked him but I didn’t love him. However, after the stunt he pulled in the Return, serves him right that he’s now turned back to wood. On a side note, do you think the process of turning back to wood may have speeded up as August told his lies especially the big one where he pretended to be Bae. I was thinking the other day, after she left the Dark Castle, all the Snow/Charming story was yet to happen, right? And then came the Royal Wedding, then Rumple made the deal with Cinderella, after that he was put away and Snow’s pregnancy came along… so I was thinking that about 3-5 years happened between Belle leaving the Dark Castle and the curse taking place. So I was considering that must’ve been the time she was locked up in Regina’s dungeons or whatever. Maybe I’m not doing my math in the right way… what do you guys think?
Snow had to be pregnant before Cinderella in order for Emma to be born whilst Cinderella was still pregnant in Storybrooke. Perhaps that was one of the reasons Charming wanted Rumple locked up. He was after Cinderella’s baby because of a deal but it could have quite easily been Snow’s baby. It would explain why Charming was so edgy about going to see Rumple in the mine and why he tried to lie to him about Snow’s baby being a boy.
As for the timing of when Belle left the castle, it difficult to pinpoint because there are still chunks of story missing but I think it might be around one and a half to two years between Belle leaving and the curse being cast:
Regina was in her evil stage and doing what she wanted so she must have met Belle after she’d enslaved the huntsman.
Snow met Red in the winter in Red Handed. Belle was at Rumple’s castle in the winter and she opened the curtains when it was nearly spring.
In 7:15 AM, Snow meets Grumpy for the first time, Rumple meets Snow for the first time. Snow is living in the forest and can’t get Charming out of her head.
Belle met Grumpy In Dreamy after Rumple kicked her out.
When Charming jumps in front of Snow’s arrow in heart of darkness, Regina is on her way to her summer palace and it is snowing which could indicate that it is winter again so that is possibly at least a year between Belle opening the curtains and Snow trying to kill the queen.It seems spring/summer time when Regina tells Rumple Belle is dead. She would have needed to have given it time for Belle to realistically made it home. Rumple tells Charming Belle died in land without magic. Charming goes to find Snow. It’s snowing but there’s a lot of green so maybe winter/spring time. They took back the kingdom so add a month in there plus nine months for Snows pregnancy.

True, Rumple doesn’t care what people think of him but he does care about Belle. In Skin Deep, when Regina told Rumple Belle was dead, she made a point of telling him how Belle was shunned and how everything that happened to Belle was because of her association with him. He believed that to be true and although he now knows Regina was lying, he’s not just going to forget all about it especially if similar things start to occur such as Belle being shunned by the rest of the town because of her association with him.

Could Belle’s dark clothes represent her darker character? In general protagonists tend to wear bright clothing and antagonists tend to wear dark clothing.

Keeper of FelixHow do you think the rest of the town are going to react to Rumple and Belle as a couple?
I can see some of the reactions being:
Belle’s father- horrified. Would probably think Rumple bewitched Belle or something and tricked her into loving him. Would also have the memory of Rumple beating him with his cane so would probably fear for Belle’s safety.
Charming- Would connect the dots of Belle being Rumple’s true love and then let them get on with their relationship.
Snow- Would probably be a bit surprised but accept it. May even befriend Belle.
Emma- Would see it as none of her business.
The rest of the town- May avoid Belle because of her association with Rumple.

Keeper of FelixIt’s been stated that people only get one true love in fairytale land. Does this mean Henry already fills this spot for Emma seeing as it was her true love kiss that woke him or can their be different types of true love such as romantic true love and parent/child true love?
I don’t think Emma and Henry’s father should get together. Something obviously happened to make her view him unfavourably but just because she had a child with him doesn’t necessarily mean she has to end up with him. It would be a nice contrast between her and Snow- Snow married Charming then had Emma with him and if it wasn’t for the curse, they would have been a nice little family unit. Emma grew up in the real world where happily ever afters aren’t such a regular occurence, she had a child out of wedlock and now that she’s got Henry back, she is a single mother. I would like to see her meet someone new and move on with her life rather than running back to Henry’s father.
If Henry’s father does show up on the scene, I could see Henry trying to push Emma and his father together because he would probably think that would make them a proper family. However, Henry is a kid, and whilst he was right about the curse he can be a bit naive. I would like to see some of that naivete show through. What kid wouldn’t want their parents together? Even if he doesn’t quite comprehend the reasons why his parents aren’t together.

Keeper of FelixRumple knew Henry was the saviour’s son and seeing as he intended for the curse to be broken, he knew it would be in his better interests to be nice to Henry.

Keeper of FelixThank you 🙂 Rumple and Belle are my favourite couple on the show and I can’t wait for season 2. I’m especially looking forward to the part where Emma sees Belle and realises that she was the “her” that Rumple was beating Moe French over.
