I’m guessing the friendship is when Zelena is still a child hence Young Zelena and Young Stanum. She’ll obviously rise to power and have to choose between love/friendship and power. She’ll choose power. The tin man is a POC so he is probably going to die because that is what they do to most POCs on this show eg Tamara, Marian, Merlin, Gus. Either that or Zelena will return to Oz to be with him and we’ll never hear of him again.

Keeper of FelixPriceofMagicParticipantI think the main sticking point for most people about Hook isn’t that he’s done bad things (most of the characters on this show have done bad things at some point), it’s the fact that he suffers no consequences for these bad things which builds resentment. For example, in season 2, Hook threatened Belle, shot her and made her lose he memories. His “redemption” arc started at the end of season 2 yet he did not genuinely apologise to her until season 6. In-universe the time span between those two seasons might not be long (though it’s over a year because of the missing year), however, for the audience it’s been 4 YEARS!
Yet somehow, Belle and Hook became best friends and everyone thinks the sun shines out of Hook’s backside. Now, in all fairness, Hook has made some great leaps forward in season 6. I used to HATE Hook during seasons 2,3,4 and 5 but now during season 6 I actually kind of like him (if only because of the fact that he one of the only characters, besides Rumple and Gideon, that gives a damn about Belle).
I think Hook garners a lot of hate, not necessarily because of Hook himself, but because of how bad he makes other characters look. More specifically, how bad he makes EMMA look. Emma is not the same character we met in season 1. This has nothing to do with her “walls” or lack of them now, it’s her personality. Emma has had a personality transplant for the worse. She used to care about people, anyone who needed help, regardless of who they are, now the only one Emma cares about is Hook. Even her own son and family fall by the wayside. CS is unhealthy because of Emma’s tunnel vision. If the writers were trying to make a point about how anyone, even “heroes”, could find themselves in an unhealthy relationship, then CS would be a great storyline as we see Emma get sucked in more and more as the series progresses. However, the writers have tried to play CS as this “great romance” and it’s just not built right.
Hook and Emma had GREAT CHEMISTRY in Tallahassee (back when Emma was still Emma) and the writers could’ve built from there a snarky relationship that develops into something more. Instead they have Hook leave Emma and co to die in a cell, he terrorises Belle and shoots her, betrays Regina to GOAT, and nearly leaving the town to die. All terrible things that should’ve at least garnered a “What the hell, Hook?!” if not more. He came back to help and assisted in travelling to Neverland to save Henry, a good first step, but suddenly all he he’s interested in is getting into Emma’s pants. He didn’t go to Neverland for Henry’s sake, he went because it would make him look good to Emma. The moment Hook looks like he’s making progress, he takes two steps back. Does he get called out on this behaviour? Nope! Emma turns a blind eye.
That the problem. The Emma we knew in the early seasons would’ve taken Hook down several pegs instead of pandering after him and ignoring any of his misdeeds. Emma is no longer Emma. Add in the bizarre costume choices and Emma looks ill, she’s lost that bright spark she had in the early seasons. Hook is now the more sympathetic character in the CS relationship because he’s inadvertently got himself attached to a clingy, needy woman. It wouldn’t surprise me if Emma goes all Misery on him and breaks his ankles with a wooden mallet just so that he can’t leave her, physically, literally and metaphorically.

Keeper of FelixPriceofMagicParticipant“It’s okay. I didn’t exactly make it easy for you to tell me the truth” – Emma blaming herself about Hook lying to her.
But is that not just Emma rationalising Hook’s flaws because she has this idealised view of him therefore Hook is not allowed to fail in any way?

Keeper of FelixPriceofMagicParticipantCould this week’s ratings be riding off of last week’s good episode eg more people tuning in for this week’s because of last week’s and so on and so forth?

Probably Zelena, she’s Snow and Emma’s BFF now…
I guess there’s nothing like leaving your infant son with the woman who previously tried to use him as part of a magic spell.

Keeper of FelixPriceofMagicParticipantEmma’s not an orphan. She was sent through a portal to our world, likewise Baelfire was sent through a portal to our world.
I think you can find parallels between any two characters if you look hard enough. If similarities are the going rate then Hook and Charming should start a romance:
They both care about Emma.
They both have a dead brother.
They both come from humble backgrounds.
They both have done things in their past they’re not proud of.
Although Hook and Emma had chemistry in Tallahassee, I don’t think they were meant to end up as lovers at that point. I think the writers/ abc execs saw the growing CS fandom and decided to cash in on it by having a love triangle in 3A. It makes Hook’s intentions of going to Neverland though less noble as they went from “doing the right thing because it’s right” to “wanting to get in Emma’s pants and this was the way to do it.”

The story had ended, every character arc was neatly tied up but then they tried to push it for another season with new characters and the series was promptly cancelled.

Keeper of FelixPriceofMagicParticipantI could see why people started shipping CS after Tallahassee because Emma and Hook did have great chemistry in that episode. However, I never saw it as a romantic chemistry, it was a more he would needle her and flirt and potentially they could become genuine friends. Hook had chemistry with Cora (and Cora had chemistry with the Sheriff of Nottingham). In fact Hook being Cora’s toy boy lover would’ve been interesting to see and would also give him motivation to betray Emma and co to Greg/Tamara after Cora’s death
I think the worst thing about CS, beyond how Hook pestered Emma until she gave in, is how clingy and needy Emma has become. It’s got to the point where Hook is the one that could do better, he is the one who is more likeable, which is a shame because Emma used to be the likeable one. She used to help people because it was the right thing to do, despite them not being family. Now she just tells Belle not to stay at Granny’s without offering any alternative accommodation. Hook was the one that stepped up to help Belle, not the “saviour” who couldn’t care less that Belle was now a homeless pregnant woman.
Emma has been controlling Hook since season 5. First she turns him into a dark one against his wishes, then she erases his memories so he doesn’t know what she did to him, then she follows him to the underworld to bring him back despite him telling her to let him go which results in Robin’s death, then in season 6 she rifles through his things until she finds the engagement ring and then pressures Hook into proposing even though he was trying to confess what he did to Charming’s father, then she has a go at him for not telling her what he did despite the fact he was trying to but she was more interested in him popping the question because she knew what her answer was.

Keeper of FelixPriceofMagicParticipantIf Rumple is leaving, in which case we’d lose Belle as well because her storyline resolves around Rumple, then RumBelle really need to get a happy ending. They’ve been constantly split up every season, any time they’re happy together they’re off-screen, to not have them end up happy together in what could be their final appearance would just be a massive kick in the teeth to RumBelle fans who have stuck by this show for the sake of this pairing.
If Emma and Regina are in a potential season 7, then surely Henry would need to be there too or have they both completely forgotten they have a son?
Likewise it wouldn’t make sense for Snowing not to be there because of Emma.
Actually it wouldn’t make sense for Rumple NOT to be there because the “heroes” are constantly running to him for help and answers. Belle would need to be there too so that she can be used for leverage.
Zelena is the only one you could get rid of without having too much impact on the story.
