Participantwow I wonder who It could be *eye roll* I do so hope James flirts with Snow. How awkward would that be. OH GOD! What if they do a twin switches places plot. Like James pretends to be David so that he can hitch a ride out of the underworld. Guys. This is going to happen. I put all the cookies on it happening.
I can actually see this happening…
I don’t know whether to be excited or annoyed by that prospect. On the one hand, Josh looks like he has fun playing James, but on the other we’ll get the whole “Oh no, David is still in the Underworld, we’ll have to go back and save him once and for all!”
Actually just had a thought: What if the “heroes” escape the underworld in the first couple of episodes and avoid a confrontation with Hades, however they kind of accidentally leave the door open so things start bleeding out of the underworld into Storybrooke then they realise they are going to have to confront Hades to close the door.

ParticipantIf Hades is the “devil” then who’s taking on the good guy “god” role? It can’t be Emma because her character has been destroyed beyond recognition which is a shame because season 1 Emma as the saviour having to take on Hades, perhaps to save Henry, would’ve been great.

ParticipantIf they’d made Hades actually look otherworldly then the blue flames wouldn’t look so bad. As it is, they’ve just got a guy in a suit with CGI fire for hair which looks out of place.

ParticipantI still think this is going to screw up continuity even more. If they do have young Regina and Zelena meet, they’ve got no choice but to pull the amnesia card. It’s lazy writing. The majority of things that happen on this show is now due to amnesia, every season there’s amnesia. The show should change it’s name to Once Upon a Season Amnesia.

ParticipantSo I need someone to tell me how to start a new thread…entertainment weekly just came out with a new article and it says that it’s a first look at Hades and he’s got quite the added feature…. Is this actually what they are doing?

You need to click on the section you want to start your thread in eg General S5 spoilers then scroll down where you’ll see a message box. Put in your thread title and then then your post then click submit.

ParticipantThat’s awesome Kranen. Your autograph book could be worth a lot in a few years time especially if you get every cast member to sign it.

ParticipantSome of that still doesn’t make sense. Why does Regina have a hole in her heart as a child?
Why do I get the feeling that as each season progresses, the continuity errors will get bigger and bigger.

ParticipantSomeone should make a thread of all the lost story lines and mentions of characters and give percentages as to the likelihood we will ever see them.
The answer to your request would be 0% on all.
A&E aren’t bothered about building the mythology of the show, it’s all about the current arc. They insert scenes to serve the episode even though it contradicts earlier episodes.
At this juncture, any questions you have about previous seasons that haven’t been answered aren’t going to be answered.

ParticipantI reckon those casting calls could be fake.
a) Casting calls aren’t normally that detailed.
b) they misspelled queen as “Quen”
c) They misspelled the as “teh” twice
d) Why does child Regina have a hole in her heart? The hole in her heart didn’t happen until she cast the dark curse.
e) The whole “puts it all on “teh” line for a chance at family”. As far as Regina was concerned for her entire young life, her family consisted of Cora and Henry sr and probably what’s his face (Henry Sr’s dad). Why is she aiming at “for a chance at family” when she’s got one.
f) The grammatical errors of the Zelena casting call are awful and it reads like a summary of a fanfiction. Seriously, “And then, one day, she discovers (etc)” You wouldn’t put “And then” after a full stop to then use a comma, you would start a sentence with “one day”. “Giving her a chance” should come in the middle of a sentence after a comma, not in the beginning.
I honestly think these casting calls are fake because they are riddled with errors.

ParticipantSee I feel like the Pan arc, which was the first time they split the season into two halves, actually didn’t assassinate the characters. I think that arc proved it could work. The whole reason they decided to do it this way was because season 2 ran into a huge problem with big “filler” episodes and unnecessary material. There are parts of season 2 that dragged. They felt they could tell a more concise story splitting it up and I can’t blame them for wanting to try something new. Unfortunately, a consequence of doing that, has been focusing a little TOO much on plot and not taking a breath and giving us much needed character development scenes and more consistent decision making. But in no way do I think they started splitting the seasons so they could deliberately forget about characters and do something unrelated to the narrative. I think they saw the flaws with season 2, and thought this would help concise the story a bit, and many fans, myself included, thought this was a good idea at the time. They just unfortunately have lost their way since the Pan Arc when I felt the half season worked well.
The Pan arc still suffered because of the split. True, it wasn’t as bad as the following half seasons, but there were still a lot of unanswered questions left at the end.
The Neverland arc could’ve improved by:
Having Storybrooke in every episode just to break up the constant wondering in the dark.
Fleshing out the Neverland characters that were introduced such as Tinkerbell and Felix and actually showing their backstories and how they came to be in Neverland. Also WHY Pan trusted them.
Actually utilising Hook since this was actually “his story”. Hook is often put centre in arcs where he doesn’t need to be, but the one time that they actually do the story that would make sense for him to be more to the forefront, they give him very little to do outside CSF triangle.
Show Nealfire’s time in Neverland, there was so many unanswered questions about his interactions with the Neverland residents. Why did Felix hope he’d never see Nealfire again? Why were Tinkerbell and Neal on such good terms that Tinkerbell was happy to betray Pan for him?
Actually show the Nevengers being split up because of Pan’s manipulations instead of having Rumple just take off. The way the half season played out, Regina and Rumple could’ve found Henry and saved him with great ease within 2 episodes if they’d just ditched everyone else and worked together. Everyone else was useless, they all wondered round for 8 episodes getting nowhere, Regina splits from the Charmings, teams up with Rumple, boom they found Henry.
Actually show present day Neverland in daylight.
Not having Snow act like a self-centred bitch who only wanted another baby so that she could play mommy because the current relationship she had with Emma was not what SHE wanted and wasn’t good enough. (Way to make you daughter with abandonment issues feel loved Snow.)
Basically, the Neverland arc would’ve been so much better if they had taken the time to explore the characters instead of trying to wrap everything up in 11 episodes.
