Given that it’s Once, and I -hate- to admit this, they could easily pull out a Magical Object That Proves Rumple’s Finally Good.
They could easily have Belle pull out the gauntlet and have it take her to his weakness. If it brings her to herself (???) then she would know he no longer wants power but really loves her and is putting her first.
But Belle is not his weakness, she’s his strength, that’s why the gauntlet led her to Rumple’s dagger – his real weakness, since he can be controlled by it – and not to her. We’ve learned that the villains see love as weakness (Rumple about the gauntlet / weakness: “and for most people, it’s the thing they love the most”) but that it is actually strength; just think of Emma protecting Snow against Cora in S2… Belle only came to that conclusion because she was hurt and angry after finding out about Rumple’s shenanigans.
As much as I have been / am angry with Rumple and his behavior towards Belle, I am still 100% sure that she is and always will be his true love.

Oooohh! That makes me think of Ursulla. No one wanted to bed her so far. But that raises the question which Ursulla. Regina!Ursulla looks nicer, though, than that golden CGI thing that came out of the mirror.

But OUAT has rock trolls. I think I’m going to exchange Rumple for Grand Pabbie for the bedding part 😛 And now I am wondering how rock trolls reproduce… Live-bearing or laying eggs? Or is there a third alternative?

So glad to see that I’m not the only one who loved the fact Robin followed his heart, and chose Regina.
Over 52 percent say that was their favorite scene!!!! I think you know deep down that for one, following your heart does not equal doing the right thing and secondly, that just because a majority thinks something is alright does not necessarily mean that it is. I am very well aware that we shouldn’t measure OUAT to real life standards but cheating on your dying wife should never be considered the right thing. And tbh, I thought you were most of all an Evil Regal, which makes me wonder why you are not upset with Robin for not respecting Regina’s choice to stay away from each him. After all, she is desperately trying to do her best to save Marian and to respect their vows (and maybe also to be a good example for her son).
Oh believe me RTR…but I tend to look at it through both point of view and get my conclusion. Robin Hood, he screwed in the first place not being up and honest about his feelings to both Regina and Marian, because he was about to willingly let himself be trapped in a one sided marriage which would’ve been very unfair to Marian in the process. That would not have been cool to lead on your “Ex-Dead” Wife into thinking the marriage is sunshine and daisies when you’re daydreaming about another woman. So following his heart was really the best thing Robin has done in a while, and to be honest…I don’t know if Robin and Marian are even considered married in this realm, who is even really married in this world besides Snowing(who the second curse no doubt married). The reason I can’t be upset with Robin not staying away from Regina was because it was totally predictable he’d go right back to her. The theme of 4A is “Never Giving Up On The Ones You Love”, so it just goes with the theme….I was already expecting it. Marian, I think on a level I feel sympathy for her, but Robin Hood’s just not her soul mate. I mean, there’s a true love out there for her somewhere, and it’d be quite nice to see Regina actually find one for her. But Robin was actually taken 40+ years ago when it was prophesied he was Regina’s soul mate. Who knows…Regina may just write Marian a happy ending as well. And Roland and Henry are both down for OutlawQueen. Though truth be told…this is Robin’s FINAL shot with me….if he screws this up, I’m gonna blast a cannon through my own ship!
I totally agree with you that just to stay with her because of his code of honor and therefore leading Marian on would be uncool as well and of course this is a terrible situation for him but not acting on desire and urges but having self-restraint is one of the few things that separates us from animals.
Henry and Roland may like their stepparent and wouldn’t mind for them to be with their parent, but again, I can only repeat my statement from above, as a parent you have to try to be a role model for your children at least to a certain degree. Sure, no one’s perfect but to act against better judgment while their kids have front-row seats in their relationship drama just feels wrong.
As to the not being married in this realm: Wouldn’t you consider Snow and Charming, Ella and Thomas, Aurora and Philipp to be married in Storybrooke? Now be careful what you are saying because that would mean that Rumbelle aren’t married in the EF and that is not the correct answer to a Rumbeller 😛

You both have good arguments and eventually we’ll just have to wait and see how everything turns out. And frankly, it’s A&E we’re talking about, so anything is possible 🙂
But it’s entirely possible that Belle knows it was him. Just look at her face in this video from Rocky Road after she uses the dagger. I assumed she was p***ed at Emma and Hook at first but now I think maybe that was Emilie de Ravin purposely pulling a face because in that moment Belle knows the dagger is fake…
