ParticipantI’m leaving off negative thoughts for now. I want to think positively about something that has given me so much joy over the years.
I think every ending for the characters of very sweet and satisfying, even if it may not have been what I envisioned for them. I wish they’d shown the two parts on one night with a long form episode like most of the other finales; I think this would have worked better as a double length episode after the last one.
What a beautiful final episode to a great show. It had plenty of AdamandEddy-isms (magic out of nowhere, random timelines with no explanations, telling not showing..) but I wouldn’t have had it any other way. It was THEIR finale and they gave us one more piece of Once Upon a Time, exactly as it has been for a long time.
Regina speaking to Rumple after his sacrifice was my favourite scene of the entire show. I’ve cried since about the show ending, but that was the one point in the episode that had me completely in tears. It was wonderfully fitting and had all the shades of saying goodbye to an old friend / loved one that it should have. Their friendship was within my top 5 favourite parts of the entire show so to have it end so fittingly was great. I only wish she’d been in the room to be able to tell him that he did the right thing.
( PS, if anybody has a screenshot of Regina kissing Rumple on the forehead I’d love to have it please!!)

ParticipantI was 14 when I found you guys all so many years ago.
Now, I’m nearly 21. This forum has been such a pivotal part of my transition into adult life. Before Once Podcast and the forums, I didn’t realise that being completely invested in a show was something that was not only normal, but grounding for many; a space away from our busy lives where we got to relish in something we loved.
For all of the ups and downs that this show has brought over the years, it is the discussions and friendships that I’ve been a part of and witness to on the forums that have changed me and will be the fondest memories of OUAT.
I will never forget hearing my theory discussed on the podcast for the first time. I won’t forget RumplesGirl responding to one of my posts; I freaked out for so long that a Once Podcast celebrity had taken the time to write back to something I said. I won’t forget getting to defend my opinion with passion and might, even when it went against what others thought.
Thank you to the people of Once Podcast, admins, members and lurkers alike.
If at all possible, I hope the forums posts are archived to download, even if the site goes down.
Thank you for the last seven years.
Love, Kyle.

Participant. I’m seeing her at an event in New Zealand soon and I feel like mentioning anything Once to her might make her uncomfortable :/
She’s been to other cons since her departure from OUAT and from I’ve heard she’s still lovely and will absolutely be excited to hear you talk about OUAT. Have fun!
(PS: Just checking, are you sure JMo is still going to the NZ con? I heard she had cancelled that appearance)
Thanks for letting me know…D:
What a shame!! I suppose that’s a chance I took flying over to see a specific cast member. Shame it doesn’t work out… I think Armageddon will be awesome anyway!
It sucks when schedules get in the way – but that’s life!

ParticipantI take it that Jen isn’t there, from everything that’s been posted.
If she isn’t, that’s a shame. I’m seeing her at an event in New Zealand soon and I feel like mentioning anything Once to her might make her uncomfortable :/
It really is a shame to see her transition from the show’s biggest champion to despising it, all because of unnecessary decisions.

ParticipantAside from the problems arising in your spoiler, is there really any problem with Robin being 18 when she leaves Storybrooke? The ages of the actresses for Regina and Zelena can get called into question, as well as Emma’s pregnancy age, but I haven’t been able to particularly identify any issues with Robin’s age.
If we estimate that Season 6 is set in 2013-15 somewhere, then it means Henry is 18 and leaving home somewhere around the 2017-2018 mark. It’s almost entirely reasonable, based on the Candy Killer flashback, that Hansel was about Henry’s age pre-Curse, time stopped in Oz while the Dark Curse was in effect (as is to have happened for all magical lands), then Hansel aged a couple of years after the Curse was broken. He seems to be a few years older than Henry at the least.
So by the time Henry leaves home, Robin is somewhere between 3 and 5 years old. Going by 4 as a reasonable estimate, that puts us as 14 years between young Henry on the motorcycle and older Henry meeting, falling for and marrying Ella (which is entirely possible given the apparent age difference between Gilmore and West). So if he’s in his early 30s by the time Lucy is born (say around 32), and Robin is 18, that puts Henry around the age of 40. When the curse is coming, Robin is said to be 25. That’s perfectly reasonable in the eight year mark between Lucy’s birth and the curse hitting; perhaps it hasn’t been Robin’s birthday to turn 26 that year yet. Emma’s pregnancy being in her late 40s may be problematic but not impossible.
Regarding your spoiler RG, that one may just throw everything out of whack.
Now, the one that gets me a little bit is Alice. I’m not going to even begin to attempt to rationalise how in the world Alice is of similar age to Robin.

ParticipantThis will be nice. It kind of sucks that un-cursed Rumple hasn’t really made any attempt to have anything to do with Henry. It’s like he just doesn’t care.
