I know. Douchebag. An epic one at that. Malcolm never matured, never took responsibility. And after several hundred years as Peter Pan, he hasn’t had to either. Now he’s just a horrible little boy – mean, petty, manipulative. Ugh indeed.
He’s horrible. I have to go back and watch 304 now – that speech that PP gave to Rumple in the flashback when the boys are dancing. Doesn’t he tell Rumple he’s worthless and Bae would never choose him and stuff like that? We now know that’s Rumple’s father saying those things! So awful. And Robbie plays it so well too.
[adrotate group="5"]rumbelledearieParticipantI’m freaking out as well, even though I know he’ll get out. I don’t want to have to wait two weeks to see how Neal frees him though. PP and Rumple had to use magic to open the box, so I wonder how Neal manages to do it.
I’m really freaking out over this, I totally didn’t expect it lol. I don’t think Rumple will lose his powers or anything, I think it just traps him.

1) All of the flashback scenes. Poor Rumple 🙁
2) Neal realizing Rumple was telling the truth.
3) Rumple listening to Neal and handing over the box/not using magic.
4) Surprisingly, the confrontation b/w PP and Rumple at Skull Rock. I thought I’d be weirded out by a boy being Rumple’s father but it was surprisingly touching and worked. I was kind of hoping Neal and the others would overhear them and find out who PP really is.
I liked and disliked Rumple getting put in the box – I liked it cause it was unexpected but disliked it cause…..well, poor Rumple lol. His father really doesn’t care.
Can’t say I really disliked anything. Great episode!
rumbelledearieParticipantOkay so they get the heart back, and Neal opens Pandora’s box so I’m assuming he frees Rumple (awww yay!). They obviously don’t kill PP (yet) so maybe they can swap Rumple and PP in the box?
Also, Lost Boys on the ship.
I don’t want to wait 2 weeks 🙁
rumbelledearieParticipantI was opposed to it before this episode cause I thought it would be super weird to watch Robbie Kay as Robert Carlyle’s father lol, but after watching I really like it! They really pulled it off, I shouldn’t have underestimated Robbie and Robert lol.
Malcolm/PP is a worse father than Rumple ever was. Poor Rumple 🙁
rumbelledearieParticipantI’ve been worried about them separating Rumbelle AGAIN after the speculation about the new curse sending only certain people back. However, like RG said, there was a report that Carlyle was there he just wasn’t needed for that scene, so I’m hopeful. Also, I can’t imagine Adam and Eddy separating them yet again so soon.
Wonder where Henry is. I’m not really on board with the idea that some people get sent back to the EF, including Regina, but IF that did happen wouldn’t Emma have Henry with her? Unless Snowing stayed in our world too and he’s with them.
And I hope Neal isn’t lost/separated AGAIN lol. The whole finding Neal/Baelfire trend needs to take a break for a while lol.
rumbelledearieParticipantRumplesGirl wrote: That’s an interesting idea. But can Rumple call back his shadow? Does he even know where his shadow went?
Yes, very interesting! I wonder if Marylin Manson’s voice is the voice of Rumple’s shadow…not PP’s as I’d been assuming! I’ve no idea how Rumple would call back his shadow, since if he could, he probably would’ve done so in 3×4 when Neal wanted him to do so.
Maybe he could but he was still too hesitant before? Or maybe the box gives him control over the shadow(s). From the way they all react I think the only way he can prove he won’t be a danger to Henry is if he hands over the dagger (preferably to Neal lol). I doubt they’d just take his word for it (or Emma’s, really). I mean we know from the other sneak peak and the photos that he’s very much a part of the group for the rest of the episode so he must do something big to convince them.
I wouldn’t have guessed from the first sneak peek that they all already knew, especially with Regina defending him to Wendy.
Guess we’ll find out tomorrow!! 🙂
rumbelledearieParticipantUnlike Rumple’s relationship with Neal, which was tenuous because of Rumple’s quest for power, Malcolm really doesn’t want to have anything to do with his son. “The boy’s a kind of tagalong,” Carlyle explains. “You find him hanging outside the bar waiting for his father to come out.”
But there are still a lot of parallels between the two relationships since the young Bae always hoped to have a closer relationship with his own father, who, despite being preoccupied with dark magic, did love Bae with all his heart. “That’s a moment we can kind of bond over,” Raymond-James says. “‘See, you know what it’s like to have a sh—y father then, too! And it’s hard and maybe I’ve been harder on you than I needed to.’”
Poor Rumple 🙁 This is going to be a tough episode. I wonder how Neal even finds out about Rumple’s relationship with his father, is it a conversation they have, does the shadow reveal something, or maybe PP does……I’m super excited for this episode it looks like it’s going to be a really strong one 🙂
*Still not convinced about the PP = Rumple’s father theory. The only way it makes sense to me is if Rumple doesn’t know PP is his father. If Rumple DID know I feel like his reaction to PP this season would involve more than just distrust/hate, it would be a lot more complicated, just like Neal’s reaction to Rumple isn’t pure hate/resentment. I’m for the brothers theory for now.*
rumbelledearieParticipantMaybe the part of Rumple that is the dark one resides in his shadow and that somehow is what is killed with the dagger and Pan. Edit: I tried to use my phone for a comment and it was a fail! What I mean is we know that Rumple is separated from his shadow. Could the part that is the dark in the dark one have gone with it and could it replace Pan’s shadow in pan and be killed or “undone” with the dagger?
Hm, could be! Rumple did send his shadow off with the dagger so it would be cool if they were connected. And his shadow seems to be able to work on its own, just like Pan’s does. Plus we hear the shadow speak in this episode.
rumbelledearieParticipantI am going with this theory: Gold will somehow transfer his power to Pan so that he can kill him with the dagger. He’ll be cursed again, but he is already overcoming that. IMO, my baby is going to be the biggest hero of all
That’s actually something I’ve been considering – what if somehow Rumple can give PP the dark one curse (through Pandora’s box maybe?) and PP doesn’t need Henry’s heart anymore because he can be immortal through the curse instead. Then once they get to SB Rumple stabs him and becomes the DO again. I would LOVE for Rumple to be the hero!
Also, when Regina mentions Belle, Snow looks over all confused. I’m guessing at this point in the episode Rumple and Regina haven’t shared their plan yet.
Seeing the entire group together again makes me more happy than it should lol. And I like that Neal listened to his father and questioned Wendy. And I love how smart/forceful Rumple is again, this is definitely an improvement over the other episodes lol.
