ParticipantThe woman from the “UP couple” in Ginny’s BTS diner picture?

ParticipantTwo random thoughts: Lana is always so darn cute with Jared – they look like they have such a cute relationship.
And bless the dedication of the entire cast – they always look they are so cold in the BTS shots. It has been an unusually cold winter where I live this year and as I froze just running into the grocery store in multiple layers with a huge long down coat and gloves, I thought about that poor cast having to work day after day outside in the cold filming scenes all day – having to remove the heavy coats and gloves to shoot the scenes. And when you can see on film that their skin is pink from the bitter cold and you can see their breath when they say their lines, you just know it has to be painfully cold at times when they are filming. I would be shivering with my teeth chattering yet they manage to pull it off. And they still also take the time to greet fans, take pictures, and sign autographs – what a stellar cast!!

ParticipantJumping up and down with happiness and excitement over the 3×12 spoilers (and going to try my BEST to get back on here more regularly).
Have you all watched the Emma and Hook – Moments of Impact video on YouTube? I don’t know how to upload it but I’ve been watching a bunch of CS videos and that one ripped my heart out!!! It’s a good one to watch it preparation for 3×12.
So I told you my hubby got me Emma’s beautiful red coat from 3×12 for Valentine’s Day. I so wish I had her red leather jacket. I’m planning on wearing my coat during 3×12 and flinging it OFF when she remembers, in celebration, since it isn’t Emma’s typical style. If only I could replace it with the red leather one!!
My hubby has already told me he isn’t watching the episode with me – he knows better. There will be too much yelling and screaming at the screen (hopefully from happiness), arms flailing, jumping up and down, etc. Oh, and I have a bottle of champagne in the fridge already!

ParticipantLove that essay. It completey explains not only why I haven’t been able to bond with Neal but why I expected to bond with Neal and then was frustrated when I couldn’t. And the best part is, the explanation in the essay has NOTHING to do with Hook – just like our CS ship has been saying. My frustrations with how Neal has been handled have NOTHING to do with me wanting Emma with Hook. I still wanted to see some kind of depth to Neal as a character – nothing that had to do with a triangle necessarily, wanted to see Hook and Bae’s backstory dug into – was dying to see all of that, hoping we will see more of Neal and Hook together dealing with THEIR personal aftermath in 3B.
But great essay. I do hope the SF folks will maybe understand what we have been trying to say hearing it from her perspective instead of insisting we are only seeing those things because we are biased by CS.
So I’m obviously still here but in more of a lurking capacity since I’ve been so busy. I have to laugh cause every time I look at the forum on my phone I am around the same people and I am sure they think I am some kind of freak staring at gifs of the same two people making out every day – sometimes close up, sometimes far away, sometimes slow motion, in different colors, focusing on different parts of the kiss. . . : ).

ParticipantHi all, sorry I’ve been gone – busy with the kiddo.
Just wanted to chime in over death panic 2014. Totally not worried. First, no way are they killing off Hook – just not gonna happen.
Second – I have my own theory about the death. I have always wondered why Bae was written so well, acted so well (hear me out – that was NOT a slam on MRJ), had such awesome storylines, etc. then we get Neal. He is NOTHING like Bae and as far as writing – nothing, as far as acting – I have always felt like MRJ was purposely holding back (that is NOT a slam on him – I believe he was told to be “unremarkable” for lack of another word), zero iemotional connectivity with other characters compared to the way the rest of the characters connect. And so many people say the same thing – they LOVE Bae, expected to love Neal, WANTED to love Neal, but then . . . meh.
I have seen this theory before and I believe there have been many things that have pointed to it happening. I believe it is possible to kill off Neal while keeping Bae alive. Here’s why. We have already seen one character de-age from their adult non-cursed real world version to their pre-cursed fairy take version – August turned back into Pinocchio. Who is the first person from the EF Nealfire interacted with? August? Who is making an appearance in 3B? Eion Bailey. Next, how much of a fuss did Neal make about ensuring everyone in SB understood he was no longer Bae but was Neal now. Anytime someone called him Bae – he would correct them with “It’s Neal.” Hence, turning Bae and Neal into two separate characters for both the audience and the characters on the show (not that the audience wasn’t already having trouble trying to see Bae and Neal as the same person.). Next, foreshadowing. When Rumple first sees Neal in New York he offers to turn him back into a 14 year old again to which Neal replies no way. In addition we now know there is family history of Rumple adults turning back the clock to become teenagers – Grandpappy Pan started the trend. Next, the spark with Wendy that everyone expected to see lead to something – until it got creepy that Bae aged but Wendy didn’t – making for a rather bizarre if happy Darlingfire reunion. Next, we have a consistant trent on this show of parents not being the chronologically correct age as their parent. Emma is the same age as her parents, Rumple was older than his father. It would be consistant to have Henry’s father be the same age he is. Next, Henry has no friends. We have already seen that Emma and Mary Margaret have been their closest BEFORE they realized they were mother and daughter, when they were interacting as friends. And we have been repeatedly saying that Emma needs less of Snow trying to be her mother now and more of her remembering how she interacted with her when she was just her friend. Daddy Charming has figured it out – he doesn’t treat Emma like a little girl, he treats he the same way he treats Snow when Snow is having a problem – we saw that in the Medusa episode where they kept pointing out how much Snow and Emma are alike. Daddy Charming has realized the key to being close to Emma and to helping her the most is to give her advice like he would to his 30 year old wife – that’s how he helps and loves his daughter. Henry is now becoming a teenager. He has zero friends, a family tree that is so overgrown there is no way to prune it, and all these people who love him and care about him. That’s great if you’re a kid – smothering, over protective, and weird if you’re a teenager. To parallel the Charming side of his family, what better way to help Henry than to give him exactly what he needs – another teenage boy who can understand him. But where on earth are you going to find a teenage boy who could possibly understand Henry? If Neal “dies” because he de-ages back into teenage Baelfire – you have the one person on the face of the planet who can understand Henry and love him – in a bizarre OUaT way at the same time (plus you open up an amazing way for Hook to need to be a surrogate father to Henry without stepping on Neal’s toes – cause a teenage boy at 14 isn’t going to know how to be a dad, plus Hook can also redeem himself with being a “dad” to Bae at the sametime – since it appears Rumple may not be fatherly material at the moment). In addition, once Rumple comes to his senses (and he will) it gives both Bae and Rumple the opportunity to REALLY bond together as father and send, and takes some of the weirdness out of the Belle as stepmother to Neal scenario.
So that’s my theory on the “death.”

ParticipantQuestion: Does Netflix still have Seasons 1 and 2 of OUaT on it?
We have Hulu+ but it is a bummer that it only has the current season. To do a rewatch I have to watch my DVDs or purchase from iTunes again. This isn’t very convenient when I am sitting for hours at my son’s ballet classes with just my ipad and want to do re watches. So I’m wondering if I should get Netflix.

ParticipantBecause of the way the spoiler was written I feel like the wedding will be Ariel and Eric’s – they do get married in the Disney version of the fairy tale after all. Although I can’t say this would be a very exciting wedding and isn’t something that would be worthy of a finale, I’m thinking about what has happened with couples on other TV shows when there has been a sub-plot wedding. Sometimes a couple who has been dancing around each other FINALLY verbalizes their feelings for each other because the wedding makes them feel romantic. Or sometimes a couple that has been in love realizes they should get married. So it might not be the wedding itself that is finale worthy but what the wedding causes other characters to realize or do that will be finale worthy.

ParticipantNeal??? It doesn’t make ANY sense. He HAS to be SOMEONE very important – not just Rumple’s son.
Why does he have to be someone else? He is already 4 people.
1) Bae
2) Neal
3) Henry’s Father
4) Rumple’s Son.I think the new guy is the Uncle Henry from Oz, and possibility of being the Wizard also.
Yeah, but that’s like saying I’m seven people: me, my mother’s daughter, my husband’s wife, my son’s mother, my grandmother’s granddaughter, my aunt’s niece, and my mother-in-law’s daughter-in-law. It doesn’t make me seven people, it’s just seven different ways of describing me.
But no, Neal doesn’t HAVE to be another fictional character in addition to being Neal but in the tradition of OUaT that seems to be what they go for for shock value. And, for me, I was waiting for Neal to be much more impactful than he was when they brought him on as “Neal” – so I wonder if the reason he hasn’t had more of an impactful role is because they are waiting to give us a “shocker” with an additional character for Neal as well.

ParticipantYes Jenna!! You were the one who posted it!!! I saw it and immediately LOVED the theory – it NEVER occurred to me before but as soon as I read your idea I totally fell in love with it!
And I have to say, the more I think about it the more it makes sense to me. Like I said, since I haven’t thought about until now I haven’t looked for any clues that he could be the Wizard of Oz (oh darn, another excuse to go back and rewatch the whole series again LOL). But it does answer the question as to why so many of us have had a problem “bonding” with Neal – they were purposely holding him back because they were waiting to drop the big bomb that he is the Wizard of Oz and then are going to let him have this MASSIVE character explosion and not just this “blah” personality.
And if you think about it from a family tree perspective – his grandfather is this weird eccentric guy who turns into Peter Pan, his father is the Dark One Rumplestiltskin, his son is the Truest Believer, and he is just . . . Neal??? It doesn’t make ANY sense. He HAS to be SOMEONE very important – not just Rumple’s son.
