Just the thought of the cast singing “It’s a Small World” about Henry’s family tree would be enough to make me pee my pants from laughing so hard!! It’s like the ride at Disney World where each time you enter a new room a new character would be waiting to sing the next chorus while the family tree lights up overhead so you can keep track of how everyone is related.

Happy New Year CS shipmates!!! It is a pleasure to have such fun with all of you – who are all incredibly talented and much more technologically savvy than I am!! It’s great that we can all have so much fun together regardless of age, gender, marital status, parental status, etc. Just goes to show how popular CS is among the OUaT fandom – we don’t fit into one particular mold because CS is appealing to so many different kinds of people!
Here’s to continuing fun and excitement in 2014!!

Trying to get caught up!!
My favorite CS moments-
3×1: During Emma’s big speech on the “beach” – the look on Hook’s face when Emma says it’s time for all of them to believe in each other. Didn’t notice it before but knowing what we know now he gets this hopeful look like she is going to have a chance to see him for more than just the pirate she thinks he is. And then how proud and impressed he is of Emma when Regina looks at Hook as they all walk into the “jungle” after Emma’s speech. It’s cute because he and Regina just had the conversation about how they are both villains but his facial expression says “Dang, we villains just got told by the cute blonde who kicks butt that I’m in love with.”3×2: “Perhaps I would” and Emma’s freaked out expression and quick get away after he says that. It’s the first time he really lets his walls down with Emma without any sarcasm and is just honest with her. And, although I think she had already realized she had feelings for Hook, I think it’s the moment she said “Uh, oh” because suddenly Hook got serious and she realized she had REALLY fallen for him and didn’t know how to handle that.
3×3: Before re-watching I was gonna say the coconut scene, especially since Tink is watching CS so intently and then goes to Regina to ask her if she ever went back to talk to Robin Hood. BUT, for some reason, after knowing how the first part of the season turns out, I have a new favorite part. There’s a scene where Hook is telling Charming he has to tell Snow about the DreamShade but Charming says he doesn’t because there might be another way. My favorite part now is when Charming asks Hook if he believes in Tinkerbelle’s power and in Pixie Dust and he says very emphatically that he does. Considering that Tinkerbelle had just told Regina in flashback that she can help people find what they need and that it is possible to find love again, the fact that Hook believes in Tinkerbelle so strongly is heartbreakingly sweet to me. And right before this scene is when Regina asks Emma if she thinks it’s the best plan because her boyfriend came up with it? And when Emma says “My boyfriend? Hook?” Snow immediately says “She just lost Neal.” Then Regina APOLOGIZES because she knows what it is like to lose someone you love too. So the fact that they make a big deal about Hook saying that he believes in Tinkerbelle and Pixie Dust was put in there to contrast Regina saying that she DIDN’T believe in any of it in flashback. And the rest if the Regina storyline is that she made the WRONG decision and ruined her life and someone else’s life by not following Tink’s advice and believe she could love again. So to follow the contrast between Hook/Regina here, this means that Hook is going to make the RIGHT choice and believe he can love again. We know how the midseason ends. Tink pretty much acknowledges that Emma is Hook’s TL. Which means that by making the right choice to follow his heart and go after Emma he isn’t going to ruin his life or Emma’s life. So to make a long story short – that’s why my favorite part is Hook saying he believes in Tink and PD. Plus it’s just really cute to visualize Captain Hook clapping his hands saying “I do believe. I do. I do.”
Hi everyone! I’ve been lurking in a limited capacity the past few days. Nutcracker is over but I came down with a nasty stomach bug Christmas night that I am just now getting over.

@CaptainEala Keep that cell phone with you at all times – we expect pictures when you spot Colin out and about!!I’m amazed at everyone’s talent – the gifs are incredible! And, seriously, whoever made the comment about the official pictures from ABC being such a disaster when our shippers our so talented has a very valid point.
@stelio I might just have another guy for you (I have to admit, I also said “Stelio is a GUY?? That is awesome!!). My other mom friend from my son’s ballet got her husband addicted to OUaT and now he is almost more excited about it than she is and they both ship CS. I keep telling them they need to come aboard our ship.
I think I’m doing a series rewatch too to kill the time during the hiatus but I’m going to look for hints of CS (even though I’ve done it before).
Has anyone talked about doing a group rewatch and discussion? We wouldn’t need to watch at the same time but maybe schedule a day to watch an episode and then a day to discuss – doesn’t even have to be a specific time to discuss. And we could keep it in our CS thread if we want to discuss elements of CS (and not end up dealing with Hook haters in the live chat). Just a thought. Or maybe I’m late to the party on this one since I’ve been out sick for awhile.
Aggggghhhh!!!! I feel completely out of the loop. It’s Nutcracker season in our household and this is performance week so I haven’t been able to keep up as much as I usually do – I’m just the human taxi cab for the kiddo. I just checked in and there’s all this PRETTY stuff!!!
I have gotten one of the other moms here totally addicted to OUaT. She watched the first two seasons over the past month and is dying to get caught up on the third. The are two performances tomorrow so we’re gonna try to watch as many season 3 episodes as we can! She doesn’t like Neal at all but totally ships CS. Put another tick mark in the grown woman, married with (5) children category for her!!
Ummm, yeah. How did I miss the whole deal with the plants?? I was trying to figure out what they were there for. The only thing I could come up with was that they were there to show how different Emma is now since she wasn’t exactly a potted plant type of girl before.
But of course!! The beanstalk!! And NL – the place where she kissed Killian – surrounded by green plants. Of course she would want to surround herself with green plants, even if she doesn’t know why!!
The chain was a nice touch. That one puzzled me too, glad someone pointed that out. Did anyone notice anything else?
The only thing I found strange was that Henry didn’t seem like his usual, upbeat, chatty self. But it was morning and there might not be much to talk about. But at one or two spots I thought he had kind of a nasty PP like expression on his face. It just didn’t look like normal Henry. Did anyone else notice that?
Maybe this new life hasn’t worked out so great for Henry? Do you think his name will still be Henry? I’m hoping we find out his name is now Killian or Liam.
Oh, yay! Glad that thread could be closed too. I much prefer it when everyone is getting along! I think everyone is so well intentioned and a big part of the problem is that things very often don’t come across the way the way they are intended when they are written. I know my emails, etc. can often come across as very harsh when I don’t mean for them to be that way at all. If I was saying the same thing to someone it would hopefully come across kinder because you could see that I am smiling or joking, etc.
I also think in this particular situation that are a lot of us who have personal history that we compare to traits or situations that we interpret from SF or CS. So we may feel strongy for or against one ship because of personal biases as well. And when we read something that feels like it is attacking our personal issue, it gets us worked up and then we feel defensive, angry, frustrated etc. The thing that’s hard is that the poor person who posted doesn’t even know that someone who has a touchy personal histoy is reading their post – they weren’t purposely trying to attack your personal issue or point of view. I know I have been guilty on more than one occassion of getting my shipper feathers ruffles because a poor SF person posted something that hit me where I am sensitive. So I have also decided to just hang out on our ship for awhile.
Poor Rumplesgirl – you have to read everything even if you don’t want to. Hugs to you!!
@Jennifer So you and I are kindred spirits!! You can add me to the club of happily married grown women with children who have Hook as their screen saver!!
And yes, Colin does ‘own’ Hook. In interviews he is kind of shy or quieter and more reserved – nothing like Hook. There is obviously truth to it when he says that when he gets that leather coat on he becomes Hook.
I never really cared about Emma much until Hook came along. I mean I didn’t dislike her but she was always just kind of ‘there’ for me. And I honestly could not picture her in a relationship with anyone until Hook showed up then – WOW!! I couldn’t wait for any and every CS scene from that point on.
Never knew who Colin was before, no idea if I would like him in anything else but, as Hook, I am sold!!!
