I hate to bring this up because everyone is saying they don’t want Bae to be dead and I love the actor who plays Bae (he is incredibly talented for such a young actor) but with all the “Bae is dead” talk it would actually be a brilliant plot twist and the ultimate “All magic comes with a price” payment for Rumple.

What if at the end of all of this Bae did go to a land without magic, grew up as a normal person, had a nice normal life, married and had children, and then died after a normal happy life? Meanwhile Rumple has gone to all of these extreme measures and been obsessed for years thinking he can find him only to discover that he died years ago and not even his magic can bring him back (and he would ultimately discover that he shouldn’t bring him back because he lived a happy normal life without him).

We’ve always looked at Rumple as someone who was desparately trying to “find” his son out of guilt vs. someone who is so dysfunctional that he hasn’t been able to accept that he is gone after hundreds of years. Kind of like how, as horrible as it is, parents who lose children are never the same but somehow have to find a way to continue to live their lives. They don’t destroy everyone else’s lives too.

It would just be an interesting scenario to have all of this be for nothing and for that to be the way Rumple has to learn his lesson and for that to be the way he is redeemed – to choose NOT to use magic to bring Bae back. To me that would be the most powerful and non-cowardly act he could commit – it would show true strength of character and selflessness.

I’m guessing Gold’s going to use this magic to locate Bae and transport himself there, after which he’ll retire to Florida with his now-intact family and spend the rest of his years sipping mimosas on the beach in his gold speedos.

So, um, real estate is cheap in Florida these days. Maybe we could all pool our fangirl pennies and purchase a nearby condo . . . and several pairs of binoculars??? 😉

This seems very strange to me. Was this originally from a central time zone article? Here in Indiana 7:00 is not considered to be Prime Time viewing so it wouldn’t make any sense at all for OUaT to be moved to 7:00 – in fact I think it would pretty much be the kiss of death for the show. At 7:00 on Sunday many families with older children or families without children are still wrapping up dinner or aren’t even necessarily home yet if they went out to eat. I would think they would lose an entire demographic of families with very young children as 7:00 on Sunday seems like the time they would be getting their children ready for bed.

I have heard of moving successful shows back and forth between 8:00 and 9:00 but never moving a show to 7:00 – unless, of course, this was based on a central time zone – but then wasn’t the show already on at 7:00?

Sorry, I can’t resist a second . . . I want to know what Rumple/Gold will look like when magic comes back. Will he be green with crimped hair and the rocker clothes again? Green with crimped hair and the suits?? If he is green but wears a suit do we call him Rumple or Gold? Will he still own the Pawn Shop?? I assume when the magic comes he will no longer have the limp and can lose the cane? I hope so, because the one-armed Belle hugs are a bit awkward. 😕

Not knowing the career system in whatever the new “land” is, I will be interested to see what David/Charming (whoever he is now) does for a living. I don’t see Prince Charming continue to scoop poop at the Animal Shelter but he doesn’t have a Castle and riches in SB.

Somebody posted this . . . somewhere . . . I’ve read so many posts about Rumple and Belle’s reunion that I can’t remember where it was posted so my apologies for not giving credit to the person who brought it up: Rumple was way overly protective of Bae. Now he’s promised to protect Belle after he will most likely feel at least somewhat responsible for what happened to her because he kicked her out of his rather large estate. I’m feeling as if that can only lead to another psycho-overly protective Rumple situation – however, in this case it is with Belle, who is super independent and has made it quite clear in the past that she does not want to be treated to like a damsel in distress who cannot take care of herself. Keep in mind she told Gold that she was told he would protect her BEFORE she remembered who she really was. Even though my heart melted when he told her he would protect her – I predict very bad things will happen because of that.

I would like to add one. I would like to be the Keeper of Mr.Gold/Rumple’s line to Belle “Yes, I will protect you.” because I think I lost half of my heart when he uttered that phrase . . .

I know this is weird but has anyone looked at screen shots for the scenes in the forest and noticed how freakishly similar they are to scenes from Twilight??? Especially the scenes from New Moon where Edward is telling Bella he is leaving?? Rumple is even wearing the same dark suit that Edward wears and Belle is standing with the same posture. I think there is even a screen shot where Rumple has his hand on Belle’s cheek and it is exactly the same as when Edward puts his hand on Bella’s cheek. I knew something about the screen shots seemed really familiar to me yesterday and I finally figured it out. I don’t know how to put screen shots in my posts so I can’t add them but if you search on-line you will see what I mean.

I actually liked the way they ended the season. They wrapped up a lot of things but then gave us just a bit of new information to wonder how they are going to approach next season. I thought this was a much better approach than the cliff hangers that leave you wondering if characters have been killed off or if characters are having affairs with other characters, etc.

I also thought that, once again, they did a GREAT job with messing with our heads with the “good” side of the villians. I actually felt the most sorry for Regina in the episode – especially when the BF told her she should go hide and she told Henry that no matter what anyone tells him she does love him. And then instead of going somewhere to hide she just went back home and went into Henry’s room and smelled his pillow and started to cry. It made me think “This poor woman – she just lost ANOTHER man she loved” but then right as they get me to feel all sorry for her the purple smoke comes billowing in and she gets her EQ facial expression all over again and I’m like “Ugh!! No – still evill!!!! No lesson learned!!”

Then you have Rumple who gets all lovey dovey emotional when he sees Belle and actuallu reaches out to touch her because he can’t believe that she is alive and is horrified that Regina did that to her. And then my heart is ripped out (no pun intended) when he breaks down and hugs her and tells her that yes, he will protect her and no, she doesn’t know him but she will. And when Belle calls him Rumplestiltskin and they tell each other that they love each other – JOY and HAPPINESS ALL AROUND. Dancing puppies and kittens!!! World peace on the horizon!! But no – once again they mess with my head, another character that simply cannot learn from his mistakes (and it’s the character who’s motto is “All magic comes with a price”????) and Rumple decides that bringing back magic is a super idea. I guess because with Belle at his side it will turn out better this time! (Said sarcastically).

Really, I get the whole reason for Rumple thinking he needs to bring back the magic, he just doesn’t seem to take his own advice very well. 🙄

But Carlyle is still an acting God. 😉

I kind of got the feeling that maybe Dr. Whale had figured out what was going on in SB in general but didn’t actually remember anything. And feeding into the stereotypical doctor persona he maybe assumed he was this important person in FTL since he ended up being a doctor in SB. But then when the curse broke and he remembered who he was, he looked bummed because maybe he realized he was either some lowlife in FTL or kind of a not so important character (kind of like a side-kick). So he recognized that now people are going to realize he’s not really this big important doctor and they are going to know that he’s either a creep or a nobody. Kind of like he just lost his social status in his mind and in everyone else’s.

Malchore, I think you’re brilliant! That never occurred to me, but it makes total sense and sounds like something they would do on OUaT to mess with us. Regina said that she wouldn’t reunite Jefferson with his daughter until her entire plan was carried out. Once everything got all screwed up I can see her telling him that the game has changed and now he needs to do something new, but they want us to think that Jefferson is fed up with Regina and is now working against her. That would be the perfect way for her to use the Belle card against Rumple – and he wouldn’t even know that she was doing it.

Jefferson specifically told Belle to tell Rumple that she was told he would protect her. Regina was the only one who would know how it would it kill Rumple to hear Belle say those words to him. After he asked Regina “So she needs a home?” when she lied to him about what happened to Belle after he kicked her out of his castle she knew how upset he was that he couldn’t protect her. So Regina knows that having Belle around to protect is going to end up weakening Rumple one way or another, whether it’s emotionally by making him choose her over his power or mentally by having Belle disapprove of his desire for power.

You’re right, it doesn’t make any sense for Jefferson to know where Belle was or how to get to her. The only problem in her plan could be that she might have thought that Rumple would have brought back magic as a result of finding out that she had Belle locked up, thinking that he would become so enraged that he would lose it. She might not have figured out that was his plan all along and that he was actually very calm and calculated about the whole thing. So she may be taken by surprise when he does get around to getting his revenge. So it could actually be to his advantage that he is so obsessed with needing to get magic back right now to find Bae. He doesn’t have time to do anything rash. But finding Belle, whenever that happened, was going to end up distracting him and causing problems because until he finds Bae and is ready to be redeemed he won’t be ready to give up his obsession with power.
