I want to see if Belle and Rumple will be living together in his rather large pink estate so he can protect her.

    😆

I agree that they stuffed a TON into one episode, especially since they had to have known they were being renewed for a second season far before they filmed it based on the numbers for the show every week.

I was just so happy to finally see Rumple and Belle together that I honestly didn’t care whether it made sense or not. But once it was established that Belle didn’t remember who she was I wasn’t concerned about her being mad at Rumple for being locked up. None of the other characters had any realization that they had been suspended in time for 28 years so Belle wouldn’t have either. And I have always assumed that in FTL Belle figured out that it was Regina who tricked her so she didn’t blame Rumple for being locked away in FTL, so once she woke up she wouldn’t have had any reason to be mad at Rumple for being locked up in SB either.

After I watched the episode a second time (umm, I’ve watched it a third time now, too), I actually wondered if the episode was SUPPOSED to feel rushed because things DID happen very quickly once Emma believed vs. how time stood still for 28 years. And Rumple had FOREVER to plan for this moment and was putting everything into motion as planned when, SURPRISE, girlfriend suddenly shows up. So we get a nice, shocked, emotional moment – but because he had basically planned FOREVER for THIS ONE moment, he can’t stop what he is doing – he HAS to keep going to make sure his plan works.

Someone else made a point somewhere that I agree with that Regina isn’t the only one in town who is in danger without magic. Rumple is actually more vulnerable than Regina because he has his limp. He has a lot of people in SB who do not like him and he can’t get away from them without magic/power. Besides needing magic to find Bae I think needing magic is also a basic safety issue for him now. Because he suddenly has Belle that he also needs to protect he has even more reason to have to act quickly to get his magic/power back.

I loved their reunion! Two things in particular struck me about their reunion.

When Belle remembered who she was, she immediately told him that she loved him but she didn’t try to kiss him – she just hugged him. This time there were no alterior motives and there was no reason for him to doubt that her love for him was unconditional. She wasn’t taking any chances with him this time. Obviously he wasn’t green Rumple anymore, but I think it was more of a respect thing based upon what had happened before.

Also, in Skin Deep right before Belle kissed him she said “And since then you have loved no one and no one has loved you” then Rumple went ballistic and ended up denying his feelings and kicking her out of his rather large estate. This time around he immediately told her that he loved her. He had a lot of time to regret never telling her that he loved her and this time around he didn’t want to make the same mistake again.

The whole purple smoke thing could mean a number of things. I think they made it extremely dramatic because it was the season finale. Personally I think that Rumple needs magic/power in order to find Bae. I don’t think that he is doing anything particularly horrible or dark because I don’t believe he would include Belle in anything like that – and he seemed almost enthusiastic about including Belle in his plan. Plus, before Rumple kicked Belle out in Skin Deep she had been asking him to tell her about Bae – I think he is following through on his promise to tell her about him. Since he said he would protect her, she is going to end up being a part of his search for Bae.

I think their relationship is going to have problems – it would be a really boring TV relationship if it didn’t. Based upon Rumple’s personality, most likely his obsession with power is going to be the thing that causes the problems in their relationship.

BUT I’M SO HAPPY THEY FOUND EACH OTHER!!!!! 😀 😀 😀

There are enough evil characters in fairy tales to last for many seasons. I think that Regina and Gold will probably continue to serve as the “resident evil” characters in SB – however I also think that they will be the evil characters that will continue to move toward redemption throughout the life of the show. It will probably be a three steps forward two steps back kind of situation for both of them and I’m sure all kind of things will be tossed their way that will affect their path toward redemption.

But then I think they will also throw in some “guest” evil characters that could last a whole season, multiple seasons, or just a few episodes that will stir things up and potentially mess with Regina and Gold. Think about it – there’s Maleficient and Ursula, the evil characters from Mulan and Aladdin, the Queen of Hearts, Cora, James’ father, Captain Hook, etc.

And because of how they play around with the characters’ natures to begin with – there are all kinds of things they can do with the “good” characters as well.

I agree there is something very odd going on there. Regina keeps using the word “family” in her conversations with Jefferson with makes me think two things – either she and Jefferson are related, probably brother and sister; or Jefferson is Bae and she is using the word “family” as a jab to rub in the fact that Rumple basically abandoned him by breaking his deal with Bae and letting him go into the vortex alone.

Either way, I get the impression that Jefferson was somehow left with ZERO family until he married and had his daughter and because of that his family was ultra important to him. Then because of his dabbling with magic – he lost his wife, which makes his daughter even more important to him. This just sounds so much like Rumple that it really makes me think Jefferson is Bae and that Regina knows it. Regina’s jabs would make even more sense then – since she would most likely know Rumple’s back story, she would know that Bae was opposed to magic. But if he is Jefferson at some point he got involved with magic and, as all magic comes with a price, ended up losing his wife because of it – I can see Regina really wanting to rub that one in.

Also, my husband just got a new job (yay, we have been unemployed for several months!) working from home so while he was out of state training at his company’s headquarter’s for two weeks I surprised him and decorated his home office. He used to occasionally work from home before but we never really did anything to the room. It has a ton of built in shelves that needed some knick knacky items. So I decorated it mostly manly but with a hidden OUaT theme!! The hidden OUaT stuff is a metal motorcycle to represent August, this big Wooden box that looks like a gothic book that represents Henry’s book, a giant old rusty ring of keys to represent Regina’s keys, my husband is in love with Ruby so there’s a big statue of a wolf, it needed something softer so there is a small round vase of dried red roses to represent Belle, my son has a shelf where he built some Legos and we added a child’s play yellow Bug car to represent Emma, there is a compass paperweight to represent Hansel and Gretel, one of the items on one of the shelves looks like a genie bottle, and there is a pirate ship that represents the ship that Dreamy and Nova looked at. The best part is that the shelves are all black so they get dusty really easily – I told my husband to think of that as fairy dust. 😉

Has anyone seen the McDonald’s billboard ads for their large Coke products that says “True Love”?

We pass several around town and everytime we pass one my son and I start to laugh and both say at the same time “Twu Wuv.”

Anyone who has a Tiffany near them – go take a look at their Tiffany charm collection. Where to begin . . . they have an apple, an ice cream cone in various “flavors”, a crown, a snowflake, a lipstick tube, keys, hearts, charms that say “love” and “kiss”, rabbits, a beer stine, eggs, a baby carriage, etc. I told my husband I want a “Once Upon a Time” Tiffany charm bracelet now . . .

If they come out with a spinning wheel and a chipped cup I will be the first in line with my nose pressed against the glass waiting for the store to open.

I know we have gone over this a few times in other places but I believe that Kitsis and Horowitz said that Gold only started to remember everything clearly when he heard Emma’s name. If that is that case, and if Henry received the book from MM a month before he went to get Emma, then who gave the book to MM – Gold wouldn’t remember having any reason to give the book to MM.

Now I am having trouble imaging Rumple writing the book in FTL with the intention of Henry reading it if Rumple had no way of knowing that Henry would even exist in SB. So now I’m no longer even sure if Rumple wrote the book. Maybe the Blue Fairy wrote it? But that wouldn’t explain why she would leave stories about Rumple out of it. It would seem like only Rumple, Bae, or Belle would have a reason to keep stories of Rumple out of the book but I don’t see how Bae or Belle would have all the information needed to write the book in the first place.

I could see the Blue Fairy giving the book to MM – I do think that she remembers FTL. However, the Belle theory is interesting. I agree that I don’t see a way that without a lot of help Belle could write the book by herself, but given that in the Disney movie Belle was associated with books and libraries it is an interesting possibility that she could have given MM the book. Assuming of course that she wasn’t already locked up. That might also explain why the Belle scene in Dreamy bothered me so much. I was assuming that she was nabbed by EQ right after she was kicked out of Rumple’s rather large estate, so it didn’t make sense to me that she was in a tavern having a pint. However, if she wasn’t locked up until she got to SB it would make a bit more sense. And if she somehow still remembered it could also explain why Regina hasn’t used the “Belle Card” – she’s not just a pawn for Gold (no pun intended), she’s actually a danger to Regina’s entire plan.
