What is August is Pinocchio and Bae?? This just occured to be the other day. The Blue Fairy changed wooden puppet Pinocchio into a real boy and it appears that she also had something to do with Rumple losing Bae. I’m wondering if this another one of those situations where they have taken some liberties with the fairy tale and had the Blue Fairy take Bae and turn him into a wooden puppet and give him to Gepetto. If August is, in fact, Pinocchio then he could also be Bae.

I think it would be interesting to have more the characters start to remember who they are and start talking about it – kind of how Jefferson was just non-chalantly talking about everything and Emma thought it was just falling for Henry’s “book thing.” But if suddenly, Ruby, Granny, Leroy, etc. all started about things like their true identities she wouldn’t be able to say that people were just falling for Henry’s “book thing.” She would either think she was going crazy or she would have to start believing. But it would be funny if people just started talking about everything like it was no big deal – Emma would be very confused!

Oooooohhhh. Good question. Hard to say. In general, I can’t stand her – absolutely detest her. BUT, I have to say – there HAVE been moments – and by moments I mean incredibly BRIEF moments (as in blink of an eye moments), where I feel like I have seen slight glimmers of humanity in Regina. Almost as if she is regretfully thinking back to a time before she became evil. And even she has said that evil isn’t born, it’s made. And it seems we are going to see her before she became evil. So I doubt I will feel sorry for her based on what she has done to basically EVERYONE else on the show. But there are time when I do feel sorry for her in and of herself, if that makes sense.

But typically you can find me yelling obscenities at the screen when she is on 😮 .

I’ve actually been thinking about this from the opposite perspective. How is it going to look to everyone else in SB if Belle remembers and happily goes to Gold??? Won’t that seem a bit weird and wouldn’t that ruin the reputation he wants for himself in SB? As pointed out above, aside from the fact he is at least 20 years older than her, he beat her father with a cane, and is an incredibly shady “business man.”. Who in their right mind would allow her to get anywhere near him??? And Gold can’t suddenly go running around after her like a lovesick puppy or his reputation will be ruined. So even if Belle does remember and still loves him and wants to be with him, and even if he wants to be with her – it’s going to be pretty tricky unless something major happens to shake up the status quo in SB. And even then with Rumple’s reputation – he can’t really be known as a lovesick puppy. I think I am beginning to understand why he felt he had to kick her out. And I think I am still liking my theory that his goal is to do away with his curse and all magic – it’s really the only way he could ever be with her.

I’m sorry, I can’t remember the question. I was distracted by whatever THAT 😯 is and then I couldn’t stop laughing and showing my friends. Please allow me a few brief moments to compose myself . . .

    What weedith said 😀 .

And seriously, if this were real life I’m thinking that the man’s breath would be enough to convince Belle that Rumple is probably not a realistic life-long companion. I don’t think those teeth are a situation that popping a breath mint now and then will solve  .

I remember the scene in Regina’s office that you are talking about. That’s the scene where Emma tells Regina that she thinks Henry is crazy when Henry is about to walk into her office and when Emma says that Regina knew he was there Regina makes a point of saying that, yes, she knows that every Tuesday at exactly 5:00 Henry comes to her office so they can have dinner before his session with Archie. I think this is one of those things that Kitsis and Horowitz sets us up for. Who really hurt Henry here? Emma was the one who called Henry crazy, but Regina is setting her up based out of the fear she believes she may have over Henry. I think they have done a GREAT job of making it so that nothing is really black or white on this show.

I still watch it but I agree that it is weird now. I know that they decided to “skip” the actual getting together part because they were afraid of the “Moonlighting Curse” but I think the way they got the two of them together was . . .awkward 😕 . I was looking forward to seeing them FINALLY kiss for real and start to date so the sudden pregnancy was just, strange. It’s like they just skipped all the good stuff. But, I still watch because I hold out hope that eventually she will give in and decide she wants to get married and maybe that will be when I will get my FINALLY moment!

    Now I like Castle better.

Okay, I’m adding another and hoping that it will only be temporary . . .

I will be also be the keeper of David’s Low IQ since no one else has claimed it.

I’m hoping that this will only be a short term lease – as it will require close monitoring (the man HAS made some incredibly stupid decisions ). Had I been in charge of his IQ earlier in the season who knows where we would be now . . .

I will be retiring possession of his IQ when he regains his memory (dear Gods let that be sometime soon).

I agree hjbau. I actually think there is an interview with Lana and Robert where they both talk about this at comic con. I think that the difference between a “normal” parent’s motivation and Regina’s motivation is an abnormal fear. Regina’s motivation is all about the fear of not being able to love Henry even though she really wants to. She has a fear of having Henry taken away and a fear of him finding out that she really IS the EQ. So I think that in many ways she actually has a fear of Emma because of the power that she feels she holds over her relationship with Henry. I’m guessing that we are about to find out that she had a delightful role model for a mother as well.

The thing I will say in Regina’s defense with Henry though is, unless I am forgeting an instance, I don’t recall ever seeing her be abusive of him so I don’t know that I would say that she hurts him all the time. I think she is protective of him and from her perspective, understandably so. I don’t think there are many parents who would be very trusting of a biological parent who shows up 10 years after giving birth, moves into town, and suddenly wants to start hanging out with YOUR child all the time (in fact, if it were me I would be heading to my attorney as fast as possible to set up some guidelines). She is a working parent who has rules for what Henry is supposed to do when he is home alone to keep him safe – if he doesn’t follow those rules he is punished. And when Emma does things that she sees as unstable, she keeps Henry away from her. I don’t see that as being controlling – I see that as being a parent. I think that is probably part of the “game” Kitsis and Horowitz have put together with Regina and Henry. From Henry’s point of view those things all help prove his theory that Regina is the Evil Queen – to everyone else, it just proves she’s Mom. Now, with Archie she has shown her true colors, his therapy hasn’t been able to convince Henry that she isn’t the EQ so she threatened him – that was wacked and Archie knows that she obviously does NOT have Henry’s best interests in mind. But, again, I think that is the fear rearing it’s ugly head again.
