ParticipantSo I wonder if that key was on the key ring as well. Maybe Henry did put the key there.

ParticipantSadly, David is such a hot mess and is in need of so much psychological help that I find myself in the awkward position of hoping that MM will move on and find someone else – she can do much better. But I’m guessing that would drastically change the outcome of the series.
But seriously, come on. David is like the male equivalent of Sybil. He was James 1.0, then he was James 2.0, then he was coma David, then he was post-coma David, then he was post-coma- married-but-I-have-no-idea-who-the-heck-you-are-Kathryn David, then he was married-but-I-really- love-MM David, then he was I-really-love-MM-but-I’m-going-to-try-to-make-it-work-with-Kathryn David, then he was it’s-really-never-going-to-work-with-Kathryn-so-I’m-now-REALLY-going-to-be-with- MM David, then he was I-really-have-no-talent-for-relationships-with-women-in-any-way- shape-or-form David. Now he’s in-desparate-need-of-psychiatric-treatment-but-I act-on-my- hypnotic-therapy-prior-to-discussing-it’s-meaning-with-my-doctor David. I heard Katy Perry’s “Hot N Cold” the other day and I thought we should make that David’s official theme song because the man can’t make a decision to save his life and is like a schizophrenic on a medication holiday.
I really hope they do SOMETHING with his character by the end of the season. It can be something desparately WRONG (like I fear it will be) like getting together with Regina, as long as the man makes a decision and sticks with it for awhile.

ParticipantI have this sick feeling David and Regina are going to end up together at the end of the season. But I’m also starting to wonder if maybe MM might start to wonder if maybe Henry is right about the book being real. There was something about the way she said “Why would she do that to me?” when Emma told MM that she believed she was innocent and believes that Regina is setting her up. Because obviously she hasn’t done anything bad enough in Storybrooke for the Mayor to try to set her up for murdering someone so maybe she is starting to wonder “But if I was really Snow White and she was really the EQ then she would have a reason to want to set me up.” And Graham did, after all, go to her and ask her when they met. So maybe she is starting to think about when she first came to Storybrooke or how she first got the book in the first place and is realizing that she can’t remember those kinds of things.

ParticipantDid anyone see the Tweet about Kitsis saying something like they are open to having real life people coming to Storybrooke, no storyline is off limits, and they would be open to gender role reversal?? Please tell me I’m reading that last part wrong because if I have to start considering that August is, like, really Tinkerbelle or Maleficent my head is going to explode. There’s only so much theorizing I can do even with limiting myself to the male gender.

ParticipantPassing along my 10 year old son’s theory here . . . last night he said that he thinks the key was actually hidden underneath the mattress in the cell and that it fell out when MM was making up the bed so it could have been there for quite awhile. I would have to go back and look but we were both wondering, was that the same key to the cell that Snow and Grumpy were locked in inside James’ castle in FTL??

ParticipantI am completely confused on Rumple being able to see the future. In the pilot Snow said that he can see the future but I can’t really tell whether he can or not. So he seemed to know that Snow and James’ child was going to be a girl but so did Snow and she can’t see the future. He said that Emma was going to show up on her 28th birthday but the way he said it made me think he was making it up as he was saying it – kind of like he planned it that way – not that he was predicting it. They say he is the most powerful man in the world which would somehow inply the ability to see the future but they didn’t come right out and say that in the last episode. He does seem to have the ability to read people really well – so I wonder of that is interpreted by them as being able to predict the future? It’s interesting to me that as the show is progressing there seems to be a stronger connection between Rumple and Snow developing. He does seem to be very well intuned to Snow and the decisions she is going to make, and she is the one who said that he can see the future.

Participant“If you can bottle love you can do anything.” Even though Rumple is the most powerful man in the world I think two things have eluded him so far – love and life. But he said “If you can bottle love you can do anything.” I think he wanted to find a way to bring Bae and Belle back, thinking they are both dead and realized that if he could find a way to bottle love then he could find a way to bring the dead back. But I think that bringing the dead back would somehow require the Dark Curse so he needed to have the product of love (Emma) in order to destroy the Dark Curse. When he added James’ hair to Snow’s in the bottle it looked like a DNA helix – which would have been Emma’s DNA.

ParticipantFavorite Scenes:
Anything and everything Rumple/Gold – especially the cloak scene with James and the pawnshop scene with Emma.
The psycho-PMS Snow White in the cabin scenes – the humming was GREAT!!
August talking to Henry at Granny’s – I actually got chills but now I’m even more obsessed with trying to figure out who he isLeast favorite:
I love Josh Dallas, but can we all agree that David just may be the dumbest man to ever set foot on the planet??? “You must be guilty because I have a very clear memory of you in the forest with hair extensions, wearing leather men’s hunting attire, and packing a bow and arrow. I realize I’ve recently suffered a head injury and am having unexplained periods of memory loss but so far THAT’S the explanation that makes the most sense to me.” My favorite part of this scene was when he asked MM “Can you explain to me why I have that memory?” How is one expected to respond to a question like that???? I really wanted Mr. Gold around to go all Moe French on him.killianhookfan
ParticipantI actually wondered if Henry put the key there. The kid doesn’t ever seem to be supervised very well. Didn’t August make some comment about how the answers could be found in the book? And we don’t know exactly what August added to the book. After Henry talked to August in the diner could have been the first time Henry read through the book again since he got it back and there could have been information added that lead him to think about the keys. I found it interesting that August told Henry that they are believers but people like Emma need facts. So for a kid like Henry, he is smart enough to be able to read the stories and see the similarities and understand what is really going on in Storybrooke – and that’s enough for him to believe. But maybe he needs an adult’s help to see things from an adult’s perspective so he recognizes what he has to do to get Emma to believe. So maybe there are things in the book now that will help him relate to Emma on her level. Like maybe now there’s a reference to a ring of keys and he remembers that his mom has keys to all over the city.

ParticipantHere’s what I think but part’s of it are still not entirely clear to me.
For some reason Rumple has recognized that Snow’s and James’ love is so powerful that even curses and potions can’t permanantly destroy it. For example, after giving Snow the “forgetting” potion he tells Grumpy that nothing can make her the way she used to be again and there isn’t a potion that can make her fall back in love with James. But then he gives her the bow and arrow and tells her that it never misses it’s target. It obviously wasn’t meant for the EQ then because the arrow hit James. She didn’t need a potion to make her fall back in love with James. Even though she couldn’t remember him, she fell in love with him all over again. Rumple obviously knew that their love is so strong that as long as he could get the two of them together again in the right circumstances they would kiss and Snow would then remember him without a potion.
Even though Rumple has now been described as the most powerful man in the world, two things still seemed to have escaped his power – love and life. And in this episode he made the comment “If you can bottle love you can do anything.” I think the two most important people to Rumple have been Bae and Belle and, at least so far, it seems that he believes that they are both dead. He made the comment to James’ father the King that once someone is dead you can’t bring them back – but that was before he had the ability to bottle love – “If you can bottle love you can do anything.” I think that now that he has found a way to bottle love, he is one step closer to finding a way to bring back the dead – which would usually be a very dark process and require the Darkest Curse imagineable, unless you also have the ability to bottle love and use the product of the strongest love that exists (Emma) to destroy the Dark Curse. I found it interesting that when he added James’ hair to Snow’s in the bottle it looked like a DNA helix – which would mean it was Emma’s DNA.
