Can someone please wake up Rogers?  Also, does he have a first name?  I just realized that neither he or Weaver have first names today (of course, Gold didn’t either).

And I don’t think Roni had a last name?

Regina why haven’t you asked Facilier what he wants with the dagger?  Why would you continue in a relationship  with a guy who you know is trying to control someone who you think should trust you? Really and your upset with Rumple?

I would be okay with Regina trusting Facilier the amount she does if we had any context to this relationship. We’ve gotten absolutely nothing about their past and so Regina looks a little foolish and naive, which isn’t Regina at all

    Lucy.

I think that’s possible, I just don’t know if I like the solution. I’m not sure Rumple would give over the dagger to his great-granddaughter or if Henry would even let him.

It’ll be a “We are all the Guardian” type of resolution.

I like this solution a bit more.

Gothel returns in time to die! (at least that’s my prediction)

Is this the end of Facilier too??

I think this is the first episode I’ve watched live since the first half of S7…

GENERAL: Great episode. I don’t much care for anything going on with Henry and the never ending curse but everything with Rumple and Alice (and Margo) was fantastic. I genuinely love the dynamic between Reformed Rumple and Alice. Definitely one of the best of the season.

    9/10

    LIKED

–Robert Carlyle….Robert Carlyle….Robert Carlyle. If you hate Rumple, love Rumple or something in-between, there’s no denying that Bobby Carlyle is a class above the rest in terms of acting. I will miss watching him in his many faceted Rumplestiltskin role.

–Rumple’s outfit in the Enchanted Forest. Nice seeing Rumple in a three-piece suit again.

–Alice’s blue EF cloak is lovely and I adore the larger than necessary bow. It’s very Alice.

–Everything about Margo and Tilly’s date was adorable. Why–whyyyyyyy–couldn’t the writers have introduced these two earlier and made them the whole focus of this season?? It’s like they embody all the best aspects of the best written ships on this show.

    –“Always love a good loophole…”

–Jewelry of true love…the show likes to hammer home that particular motif.

–“Immortality is just another tower.” Rumple’s sacrifice to ensure that Alice gets to have a normal life, a happy life with the love of her life…it was beautiful. It was the Rumple I loved for so long.

–“All magic comes with a price; guess it was finally my turn to pay.”

–“Dark One and the Pirate…friends?” “Perhaps it’s time for a new story.”

    MIXED

–That is an incredibly elaborate shrine to Belle. And seems to be appropriating certain aspects of Mexican culture in ways that make no sense.

–Rumple using the familiar pain of missing someone you love to manipulate and test Alice. It’s very Rumple–a desperate soul to the very end–but it’s also cruel.

–I think Regina is totally overreacting to all this. I get she’s scared for Henry and what happens if he wakes up but 1) this family always find a way and being indebted to Facilier is not the way to go and 2) she cannot possibly understand what Rumple is going through. There are some things only the Immortal Dark One can understand.

    DISLIKED

–Disappointed that Rumple and Nook have met before and we didn’t get to see it; that would have made for some fun drama–even if the Hook/Rumple conflict has been overdone–as Regina et al try to convince Nook that this Rumple isn’t a villain.

–Regina calling Rumple/Gold “Weaver” and Rumple calling Regina “Roni” is weird. Weaver means nothing to Regina; Gold makes sense after six years in Storybrooke but everyone using these tertiary names for one another is just bizarre.

–Facilier would have been a fine villain on his own without adding the unnecessary Regina-as-lover complication. Like, what is even the point of this so called fling?

I agree; it must be the glass coffin. Though, I have no idea why they need to go there except for nostalgia.

Okay, so Snowing got “the call for help” but I thought Regina told Rumple that they can’t go to/get ahold of SB?? And that was never explained.

Goodness, the amount of hostility in some of these responses. Take a chill pill.

The show is over. Whether or not the show is over forever absolutely no one knows because at the end of the day, you’re fans sitting on a unofficial site theorizing, not boardroom network executives.

We have five episodes to go; let’s just watch those and enjoy whatever we can of the last of this series.

Anything can be revived. You never know when someone will feel a particular need to revisit something that was once on air. However, here are some rubs:

–Shows that get revived are beloved. They aren’t revived just because of “writing mistakes.” Will and Grace and Rosanne did not get revived to fix what fans see as a writing mistake in the final episode/season. Will and Grace and Rosanne got revived because they are beloved sitcoms that were groundbreaking in the time of their inception (one for portrayals of the LGBT community and one for portrayals of low income families)

–Shows do not get revived in order to fix large swaths of previously written material which may or may not be “wrong.” Fans decide what writing mistakes are; not networks or even the writers. At the time, the writers chose to do a massive flashforward for W/G and to have Dan die in Rosanne. These were fixed only AFTER the fact–only after fans and critics talked about how bad they are.

–The writing mistakes of OUAT are only seen as mistakes by their fans; so far, the writers and critics have little to say about these so called mistakes.

–When Will and Grace and Rosanne ended, they were still ratings juggernauts. Especially compared to today’s network ratings. When W/G ended, it got almost 19 million eyeballs after an entire season of 7-9 million viewers. OUAT hasn’t had that sort of viewership in years. Rosanne is the same.

The idea that OUAT most likely will get revived is..bizarre, as of right now. There’s absolutely no call for it. ABC had it for seven years; they are ready to end it and move on to other things. They have no desire to revive a show that is currently getting a .4 in the demo. It’s not a ratings smash hit and it won’t be so close to it’s ending, were they to revive. If ABC is gonna revive anything, it would be LOST which is still mostly critically acclaimed, still holds a special place in the ABC history, and is still a groundbreaking TV show.

    In short:

–OUAT is not beloved enough as it stands, right now, to get revived, at least not for years and years.

–If OUAT were to get revived it wouldn’t be to fix what some perceive as writing mistakes but because there was a genuine need for OUAT’s stories again.

Anyone else love that Zelena just simply acknowledged the “blonde girl” to Robin as if it was a normal thing. THAT’S how it should be.

    I also loved that moment.

But if this is Oz 1.0, which was occurring during EF 1.0, how can they be different versions of themselves?  They have to be the same right?

Honestly? I think the writers would say “different characters with the same name and same basic story but one encountered Regina and one encountered Zelena. Parallels!”
