KeymasterThandie Newton should win an Emmy.
She should. She’s magnificent.
Can’t wait for the finale. I hear a lot of answers will be given!

KeymasterWhat facts other than the curse would have to be undone?
How about all of Rumple’s manipulations to ensure that Snow and Chaming would meet and produce a Savior? Now I agree that Snow and Charming would likely have met no matter what cause fate/destiny/ect but with different lead ups–would James still be alive, for example? If Rumple isn’t there controlling everything then that means he never put the protection spell on Snow which means Regina would have gotten her revenge. It also means that Regina would never have learned the level of magic she did (Rumple never got his monster) so she’s not the EQ at all.

Keymasterguessing this means that when Emma gets stabbed with this sword her “savior self” will die, like it was foreseen by the girl Oracle. And the “rest” of Emma will survive.
but what would be left behind? Are we just going to ignore the whole emma has no potential for evil thing? Do the writers even remember that?
It’s like I was saying way back at the beginning of the season–this isn’t good!Emma vs bad!Emma. It’s the Savior side of Emma vs the side of Emma that wants to have a normal life and not be saddled with powers.

KeymasterI could totally see the writers having a scene very like the pilot just to trick the audience when the AU Regina ends up being just a welcome guest.
Oh I could too. I just don’t think it would scan all the way given the costume Lana is wearing. We know they use outfits to show the audience where Regina is emotionally and she’s dressed head to toe in EQ-drag. If she’s a welcome guest then one has to wonder why she’s wearing the outfit she is unless it’s all writers trick which they would totally do, but like I said, it wouldn’t fit with what they’ve shown in the past. But what else is new

KeymasterI don’t think we can simply assume that it is the AU Regina showing up.
Except we still have to rationalize why the EQ is there at all then. We know she is; she’s in the scene–dressed in almost the same, if not the same, outfit she wears in the pilot. The EQ shouldn’t exist at all if there are no villains–as stated in the article–unless they just mean that after the protection spell was placed on Snowing, the EQ was powerless without Rumple prodding her into the Curse.
Except THAT makes no sense either. Rumple was the one who put the protection curse on Snowing because of his long con to find Bae. So we have a few options: No Rumple (he never became the Dark One OR never lost Bae and set out on his long path) OR we have a Rumple but he never managed to convince the EQ to try the Dark Curse and she is simply an evil queen–but not one that has aged given that Snow and Charming are now about 60 and they didn’t age Lana up at all.
The AU doesn’t make sense (what we can piece together at least) unless they rewrite large portions of the universe and character interaction. Even if it’s undone by the end of the episode, this whole “no dark curse” thing requires certain facts of the Onciverse to be undone.

KeymasterYes

And given that all the photos are from one scene, it’s pretty clear that Snow is pointing that sword at the EQ who just showed up (very Pilot-like)

KeymasterI think Henry will exist because the writers want him to. It won’t make sense but they don’t want us to think about it too hard.
