I agree that Tom Welling bears a striking resemblance to the Disney version of Eric.

Ok, SB mirror is speculating a lot there given that the original spoiler just says that the role of Eric is being cast. We don’t know when he is appearing of how. We don’t know that A and E have no intention of messing with TLM lore given that Disney messes with it BIG TIME. That’s the problem. The original story is VERY different.

    this is the original spoiler

Episode 3.06 of Once Upon a Time will see the introduction of the recurring role of “Prince Eric”.

We have a lot of crack floating around but we’re often closer to the mark than we think. 🙂

I *love* that believing idea. Really cool. And at every panel this year A and E have harped on the idea of belief.

And I agree with some sort of FTL medical drama about nursing Neal back to life. Just use Lake Nostos and then have him doing something else.

Love that K&H wrote this one themselves. They must have something major in mind for Ariel that they wanted done in a specific way.

AKA: we’re all completely wrong about what we think is going to happen.

I really didn’t think that Adam & Eddie would make Ariel’s debut episode the same name. I thought they would use a throwback to the movie or something.

Ditto. They have never been that obvious. Even with episodes about one specific person, they never use their actual name. Instead of “Cora” episodes, they used her two titles, QoH and The Millers Daughter. The same with Anton the Giant, his episode was called “Tiny.” This rather uncharacteristic of them. But maybe it’s also a marketing thing: be as obvious as possible to draw in all the Ariel fans and get them interested in seeing their favorite little mermaid. I do hope that if when we get a full Ariel backstory the title is something a little more Disney (please be Poor Unfortunate Soul…please please please).

Agreed – the fact that Adam and Eddy co-authored 3×6 means it’s bound to be a good one! I wonder if it’ll have any flashbacks of Emma in the past again. I could see Ariel’s desire to be part of Eric’s world being compared to Emma’s quest to find Neal after being released from jail.

Hmmm. Good point. Ariel in the present and Emma in the past, parallels nicely. I suspect Ariel’s full backstory won’t be until the second half of the season anyway when there is more time/room to explore her.

In my head, we meet Ariel in 306 and she helps out the JR6 a bit and then returns in 311 to help get them back home and decides to come along for the ride. But of course in my head, Ariel isn’t human yet. I know other people have different headcanons.

I’d like to think that Ariel has been spying on PP and knows the location of Henry or that she knows the location of some lost boys who will help out the JR6 as they prepare to go into battle.

Finally! Also not surprising that A and E wrote it, I suspected it would be 306 or 307.
I’ll change this topic title to reflect that.

I think Bae might have seen Rumpel doing something cruel. I feel like he wasn’t just mad about the abandonment–that he was actively avoiding him because he knew having his father in his life would be dangerous for anyone around him.

that’s a possibility too. If Rumple tried to make a deal and it went sour, he might resort to cruelty which would only prove to Bae that his papa really had changed.
