KeymasterFrom 222. More black and blue? Maybe?

KeymasterThese are the shots of Bae I could find in which he wear either a coat or a cloak.
And here’s Neal
Nealfire often wears a blue scarf, I’ll admit. But I don’t recall a blue jacket.

KeymasterSeems he thought his dad was an alright guy until he disappeared, and who knows if what Killian was told about why he disappeared was true. Would actually be poetic in a way, if he wasn’t told the truth, considering Rumple didn’t tell Bae the truth when his mother disappeared…with Killian.
A and E do love parallels.
That’s why I was trying to do the math in a post on the previous page, because I know there’s been speculation about him being in NL as a boy. But I dunno that it’d fit.
Don’t know how I feel about it. On the one hand, it would be highly ironic if Rumple and Hook were lost boys together but Rumple knew Hook by a different name (Eric…?) and Hook forgot about Rumple after Rumple left NL.
On the other hand, I don’t know if it works out. Hook is slightly younger than Rumple (younger looking at least) so if Hook was a lost boy then he left NL after Rumple had grown up a few years.
This all depends on Rumple being in NL, of course. Arg."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"RumplesGirl
KeymasterPapa Rumple feels. I can’t. It hurts.
George is in the mines? Ok then.
“[James] was a good man.” Ok then.
Not particularly enjoying this scene."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"RumplesGirl
KeymasterFeels like we should be making a new bet. Team Bae’s Doll vs Team Rumple’s Doll.
Certainly is shaping up that way!
I still think it has to do with Bae, and what happened on Rumpel’s previous trip as the Dark One that he did not leave with his son.
We all figured Bae had been in NL (well maybe not all…coffee anyone?). Rumpel however might not have realized this yet. It might just have hit him that he pushed for the curse and maybe even traded PP for it, and all the while, Bae was there in NL. Pan hid his son from him, despite all his power.
You bring up a good point. How much does Rumple know about Bae’s life after “The Return?” He says that his son has been running for a long time, which indicates he does know something about Bae’s life. If Rumple went to NL as the Dark One to meet with PP (brothers, ex-Lost Boy?) and demanded Neal back but PP refused (he needs him for Henry) and then PP did something to remind Rumple of the fear PP instilled in him as a young boy…I don’t know where I’m going with this anymore but if PP kept Bae from Rumple, that gives Rumple even more cause to hate him.

KeymasterLiam sounds like a rather stand up guy, though, and Hook told us his father was not. Unless we’re going to see that Hook doesn’t really know why his father left. But right now, I’m slightly more inclined to think that Liam might be the man who “fathered” Hook and taught him how to be a Pirate.
Also, Devin. It says that he is a Lost Boy. Do we trust that? Do we think Hook was a lost boy?

KeymasterMy headcanon is that he was constantly looking for other ways to get to Bae. And that’s why I think if he was in NL before, it was in pursuit of Bae. After all, once he had the seer’s power, he knew at least some of the things that had to come to pass before The Curse–Cora’s having a daughter, Snow White being involved. We don’t know just how detailed his knowledge was beyond what the Seer and BF told him and the little hints of what he was setting up, but it was a lot of work (and some of it rather cruel work–I do think at times he’s felt sorry for what he had to do to certain people, including Regina). If there was a shortcut, Rumple would totally take it.
Part of me wonders if Rumple’s seeing ability doesn’t touch NL; only works for FTL.

KeymasterIt’s been indicated that Rumple and Pan were great enemies in the past…I just can’t imagine that being the case in his pre-Dark One days. I will be surprised if their relationship goes as far back as Rumple’s own childhood. Not impossible, certainly, but I’m not convinced at this point. I think that would be overkill on the back story and would introduce an unnecessary new concept at a time when we have enough going on as it is- it would feel out of the blue. I think the doll is related to Bae and the crying was that of a grieving parent.
Enemies sure, but perhaps it’s one sided. Pan isn’t freaking out that Rumple is in NL. He sends Felix almost as a welcome party, without going himself. Rumple fears Peter Pan but that could stem from being emotionally scared as a kid, being taken to NL or losing his brother or a friend, ect. As the Dark One, Rumple even says in 108 “I’m not afraid of anything.” So the fear of Pan must stem from sometimes before being the Dark One.
I think it’s very possible that Rumple went back to NL after he became the Dark One, especially if he got wind of Bae being there. I don’t know if it’s “out of the blue” from what we know about Rumple’s past, he was a “lost” boy in that he was orphaned and miserable and possibly unloved."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"RumplesGirl
KeymasterYeah, I don’t think they can do that to Ariel. My Hookriel feelings aside, Ariel is the most asked for character since this show began. Everyone wanted to know when Ariel was going to be on Once. They aren’t going to reduce her to a flashback character. She may not play as large a role as I want her to play, but she will be more important than that.

KeymasterIt does suggest that Rumple has been in NL as the Dark One but that doesn’t negate him being in NL as a child. Both could be true; it’s not mutually exclusive. And Pan seems to be perfectly fine with Rumple being in NL, so long as it’s not for Henry, which would indicate a sort of bond between them. Even if Rumple doesn’t want one.
