And I’m very excited for more Hook backstory in season 3!
I’ll be very interested to see how many fan theories pan out about Hook. My personal headcanon is that he’s a lost prince and this adopted father, Davy Jones, never told him who he truly was.

We know virtually nothing of his life before we met him in the bar in FTL. He told Bae a story about his father, and it’s probably true or at least it’s true so far as he knows it. Hook seems to know that other lands exist, so it’s possible that he has traveled to other lands other than FTL and NL. He was in NL about 6month-1 year before Bae shows up, after losing Milah but he seems to know all about PP and the Lost Ones, so either he learned very quickly who they are and how they work, or he had knowledge about PP and Tink before coming to NL. I have no doubt we’ll be getting a lot of Hook back story in S3.

The problem with what you’re proposing is that by the time Wendy and then Bae got to NL, it was already full of kids. The Shadow had been bringing them to NL for some time, though we don’ t know how long. Since the Shadow and PP have been doing that, I would assume Tink is there with PP, meaning she didn’t come to NL recently but has been there since PP. Also, Bae went to London some hundred to 150 years before the Curse hit, and when the Curse did hit, he was already in NL.

Look at Snow and Charming. They had different upbringings and different lives yet there is no denying that they are TL. There are always going to be parallels in this show, especially with regards to parents because pretty much everyone on this show (and really in fairy tales in general) have family issues, whether it’s an evil stepmother or a wicked father, ect. It’s a staple of the genre. And it’s how A and E write, look at the sort of family issues they had with LOST. I said this in another thread before the forums were shut down for the re-vamp but looking for parallels is a lot like cloud watching: you may see a giraffe and I may see a man in a hat but that cloud is neither a giraffe or a man in a hat. It’s a cloud. It is its own thing. There are tons of parallels with Emma and Hook, Emma and Neal, Regina and Hook, and Regina and Neal. It doesn’t mean that the more parallels = obvious being together.
I would prefer Regina and Hook together because they can both really heal each other and they have a lot in common (losing their first love, being the “villain” though neither of them wants to be anymore) but if they really sell Regina and Neal then I’m ok with it, so long as it’s believable. However, I won’t lie. At this stage of the show, I really want Hookriel. lol

Was she involved with him getting there in the first place? If so, who was she working for? Is that person still around? Do they have something to do with the origin of the Shadow? How many more questions can I ponder before my head explodes?
Maybe Tink rescued PP from London–bad or absent parents, an orphan– and in return he’s helping to save whatever ails NL, even if it means killing Henry, which he feels bad about but feels like he owes Tink.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"They pop into existence already looking like an adult and they stay looking the same age for their whole existence. So the casting call says it’s someone in her 20s because they want a pretty young woman to play the part. That’s all.
Oh I forgot that they probably just pop into existence looking like they do. That makes sense since Blue hasn’t aged from when we saw her in A Desperate Soul to the Pilot. Then the question becomes from where does Tink originally come? Is she originally from FTL or NL? I’d like to think she was from FTL originally but for some reason she and PP went to NL. Maybe she was in love with PP and when it became clear that he was going to age and die, she took him to NL. And maybe before then she was the Head Fairy, but that job passed to Blue when Tink left. But Blue was still loyal to Tink and thus did her bidding.

As for Regina: I agree that whoever she ends up with has to be a major character with a well known story. She’s not Regina of Stable Boy anymore. She will always, on some level, be the Evil Queen (even if she’s not evil anymore) and that personality requires a big romantic personality. At this point, I’d say it would be a male only because Daniel is precedent. I want a homosexual couple on OUAT, I think it’d be great! But I think it should be a different story, and not just in service of the fans who want Regina and Emma together or Regina and *insert another female here.* They’ve played with gender before (Jack) so it could be that Aladdin will be a girl or something along those lines.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"But if Tink was born in NL and since NL is on another time schedule plus not being affected by the curse then she would be in her 20′s – 28 perhaps but that is why I don’t know if TV Line really knew about Tink and Hook or was that just another opinion?
We don’t know that she was born in NL. In fact I’d say she wasn’t since people don’t age in NL. I think she came to NL with PP and they’ve been there a long time. I’m more willing to bet that both Tink and PP were born in FTL long ago, even before Rumple was born, and went to NL together for some reason where PP began to plan for how he would get Henry.

Movies are willing to let people go for small amounts of time to shoot TV while they do other scenes. We know Sarah is coming back, along with the rest of MAP.

As for the casting call that we assume is RH, it doesn’t have to be: it could be one of the Merry Men. Aladdin is really stretching it since they wouldn’t introduce another storyline on top of the NL myth. That’s really way too much. So, instead of a recast they could have it be Little John or Will Scarlet or Alan a-Dale.
But back to Sydney. Belle frees him from the library and maybe his arc for however long he is going to be around is to do repentance for serving Regina. So he helps Belle and Alice with whatever they need.
