I don’t know how Pinocchio got there, but as far as escape: PP could have let him go, knowing that he would be crucial to the overall plan. In my head it works like this:
PP needs Henry
PP learns of Pinocchio’s arrival to NL
PP can see the future and order Pinocchio to be taken back to FTL where he will finish out the Pinocchio story, turn into a real boy by the BF. This is where The Stranger picks up. Gepetto bargain with the BF and Pinocchio is sent through the wardrobe before Emma.
A few years later PP also releases Bae from NL.

PP needed Emma to go through the wardrobe without Snow, thus releasing Pinocchio sets up that thread. PP needs Emma and Bae to have Henry, and thus lets Bae go after the Curse is enacted.

August tries to use the dagger on Rumple before magic was brought to this world, meaning that the power of the dagger didn’t work. He couldn’t control Rumple because there wasn’t enough magic in our world.

As to how August knew about Bae, that story (I highly suspect) will be in S3.

I also think TIME will be a very important factor for MAP and Neil, as Neil is hurt pretty badly. Will def be a close-call situation and he will need to find a healer/doctor/or daddy asap.

Before SOTM aired, most of us knew MAP would find Neal (gotta love spoilers) but a lot of us thought it would be in the beginning of the episode and that Mulan would heal him with the waters of Lake Nostos. I still think that could happen, but that it won’t heal him all the way. It might keep him from dying, but I think you’re right: giving Belle and MAP something to do in FTL to save Neal would make Belle’s adventure in FTL less one dimensional.

Well I think it’s that true love is true love in any world. Changing worlds doesn’t change true love: case in point, Snow and Charming when they thought they were MM and David. Even though they had no memories of who they really were, they still found each other and fell in love.
The protection spell didn’t come over because it was specifically designed to only work in one world.

The spell itself was specifically designed to protect Snow and Charming ONLY in FTL and it was part of Rumple’s master plan. Once Regina knew she couldn’t kill Snow and Charming in FTL she had no choice but to enact the Curse and move Snow and Charming to a land where she could kill them.

I completely agree. The Curse was broken, they’re living their new happy ending and I don’t need to see them anymore. It was fine in S1 when were establishing how the Curse worked and how it affected people but after A Land Without Magic, I don’t need to see anymore of them.

Hmmm, in a way I think what Rumple did to Bae was much worse. He let go of his son to face the unknown comeatly alone. For all Rumple knew, Bae could have been eaten alive by some fearsome creature on the other side of the portal.

I think it’s varying degrees of “worse.” Rumple knew Bae was alive after he went through that portal, and even though it took a few centuries, he never doubted that Bae stayed alive. And this was before he took the Seer’s prophetic abilities. What Rumple did was horrible, I agree. He chose magic and power over his son and let him go. He was a coward. But Hook also let him go, and go to a place Hook *knew* was terrible. He knew PP and the Lost Ones “rip” shadows from these boys. Even Hook’s crew is scared of HIM and still Hook let him go and we don’t know yet if he ever tried to rescue him.

I think that’s a really good guess. And yes, if Tink enchanted the knife, it might be a hint that some of the theories about Blue and the original Dark One and that dagger are correct. If Tink could enchant Peter’s knife to act similar to the Dark One’s dagger then Blue could have made the first Dark One.

^Agreed. I want more Hat/Hatter backstory, but I know that’s a scheduling issue so I can’t really call it a “dropped” storyline. H and K want Sebby back, it just takes time.

Didn’t have time to read the article properly this morning, but my thoughts on the “dropped” storylines:

1) Kathryn
I think I’m the only person who doesn’t *care* what happened to her. She was always a secondary recurring guest star who doesn’t really have a purpose once the Curse was broken. H and K have said in official podcasts that she is living with Frederick in their house, end of story. I don’t really know why people would want to see her again. She’s living her life as “both” and her marriage to Charming wasn’t real. Plus, logistically, could they even get the actress again?

2)Heart in a box
I think it was just one of the hearts Regina has in her vault. It probably belonged to some guard and she had Dr. Whale (not knowing who he really was at the time) plant false evidence.

3)Ring of Keys
Yeah, I’d like to see those again

4)Philip is alive
This isn’t a dropped story. We’re going to get it in S3.

5)Grumpy and Nova
To be fair, Amy Acker is pretty busy with another show

6)Chip in pieces
It’s was symbolic. He’s relationship was in pieces–like the cup which has always represented both Belle and their love–and it was only when he was ready to have her back, when he realized that he needed her and not just some substitute that he repaired the cup.

7)Snow’s Dark Heart
I get the feeling we haven’t seen the last of Snow’s dark heart

8)Memory Cure
My thoughts on this are pretty well known…
