I think Aurora will communicate to Snow that Neal is still alive via the Red Room and with the magic mirror Rumple will tell Belle and she’ll use the bean to go to FTL.

The story telling was more complicated this year. S1 had one goal: get Emma to believe so that she can break the curse. It wasn’t THAT ambitious. This season had bigger stories and was far more ambitious. Ambitious story telling coupled with crazy hiatus breaks are what hurt the ratings. I want ambitious story telling. But I don’t want the crazy breaks.

One actor left. ONE. The way H and K wanted to tell S2 changed, but that’s understandable. All writing is rewriting and things are bound to change. I’m sorry that Meghan is leaving but she found work again super fast and we will see her again. And with regards to the fan base dropping, everyone who is posting in this thread is on board. We’re a small sampling, to be sure, but we’re part of the base. The long winter will be long but…it’s better than the strange schedule we had this season.
So what the Olympic’s will be on not everyone watches the Olympics like they used to and the same thing with the award shows, football, basketball. If that is their excuse then Once will never be able be aired if people are using these excuses for the droppings in the ratings. Once only comes on once a week it isn’t like it a daily show 😡
Maybe, but the Olympics are still a powerhouse even if not as many people watch them as they used to. And I mean POWERHOUSE. They pull in million upon millions upon millions of viewers. Every show is going to take a break for them, not just us. No one survives going up against them. It’s the same with big sporting events. There is a reason there are repeats during the Big Events: because no one will watch a serialized drama up against a big event when they can watch it next day on Hulu.

That’s possible since they are splitting the season into almost two mini seasons. The first half could focus on PP and the Home Office while the second half is about the Mermaid Kingdom.

It’s a possibility, for sure. Except they’ve set PP up to be uber creepy and not a nice guy. I’d hate to think Ariel wound up with a nasty boy seeing as she is the MOST requested figure from fans. They might want to go slightly more traditional with her (a nice mix of Anderson and Disney) since they are doing PP a whole new way.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"Regardless if Hook is Eric or not, it doesn’t seem like NL has a lot of “kingdoms” so if Ariel is located there, the writers will have to create some clever twist of how Eric comes into her life if she is in NL. If she’s cast young, it works to make Eric one of the Lost Ones stolen from FTL or another realm. If she’s cast older, then that idea seems less likely. They could also just leave out her romantic story as they did in a way for Mulan. So we’ll get an Ariel who’ll play some role but we won’t see her happy ending played out or hinted at as having happened.
Yes, from what we can tell thus far NL is a rock in the middle of a vast ocean that is only accessible via bean or being taken by the Shadow. If they do Ariel and they intend to give her a Prince (which is both Disney and Anderson) then they have to come up with a way to explain how Eric is there.

I still don’t get how Peter would know what Henry would have looked liked 300 years before Henry was born.I think the answer to your final question is a simple one (I think it needs to be for the sake of audience): prophecy. I believe Peter will have the gift of sight. Prophecy has already played a huge role in both seasons (Emma and then Henry) so it makes sense that it will appear in S3 as well.
