That’s because the promo department does nothing other than read the character names and insert their own thoughts on the matter. (Remember, Hook was brought in to show us how the charming swashbuckler became the greatest villain of all time, outdoing Rumple…when we have ever seen anything like that? And he’s already at least partially redeemed so….yeah they have no idea.)
Or how they basically told everyone who Whale was before the episode.
Apparently they only get the blatantly obvious stuff. *sigh*
I was SUPER surprised that for the last episode the didn’t heavily promote a hashtag for #Hook or something, given Colin’s pretty intense popularity.

I just hope the show doesn’t become the Neal and Emma show and throws everyone else to the side.
Oh I have no fear of that. H and K know how popular many of their characters are. The CharmingStiltskin family (as a whole) will always be at the center of the show, and now that MRJ has been upgraded it’s the entire regular cast.

KeymasterI like the idea of how RH connects to Snow so I’d love to see that and make his appearance in season 2 a little more relevant as well – I could see how they might use that to show Snow navigating her way around a new place with the Neverland storyline too.
I agree. Since it is looking less likely that my Tamara is the daughter of RH and Marian is correct, I’d like to see RH again because I felt he sorta wasted in Lacey[/]. For as much promoting as they did for him, he was in the episode for maybe 3 mins.

Lets hope he is one of those actors who like getting made up.
Oh I think he enjoys the makeup and the leather pants and the boots. It helps him bring that Rumple to life. It might just be a lot to ask if he has to do it every single episode.
I wonder if he’ll still be wearing his $3000 suits.
Or for that matter, what is everyone else going to be wearing? Regina was in a skirt and knee high boots!

KeymasterExcellent point, RG. I agree that they don’t need to actually address any of this in the show; it’s a fantasy after all and they can just say “It’s prophecy” and still be consistent with everything already established in the show. I just find it fun to consider all the various interpretations, given all the questions about the appearance of Henry’s picture at the end of the episode and the debates about “No time travel.”
And I LOVE the fact that you quoted Clarke’s Law! Any reference to Arthur C. Clarke makes my day! 😀
I agree. It’s really fun to try and explain all the various way it could happen and I really liked everything you had to say (took me four times to read through it all…but I liked it :))

In all honesty, despite Neal’s lack of being a “Regular” in Season 2, he had a lot more overall screentime in the Season compared to Belle and especially Ruby (both who were credited as “Regulars”).
Goes back to what Myril was saying here about defining regular and core cast and main cast. I considered him main cast even though he wasn’t a regular and considered Ruby a reoccurring even though she was regular. TV is weird.

In regards to Snow, it was hinted that she spent some time with Robin Hood and his merry men, so we might at least get that story. I imagine that taking place in-between “The Heart is a Lonely Hunter” and “The Evil Queen.”
I would also like to see more Nealfire flashbacks. There’s definitely more to his story in Neverland, and I would love to see his early days in A Land Without Magic and how he escaped Neverland.
Forgot about that story. Yes, I can see them having a parallel story of Snow navigating NL and using her skills that she learned from RH in FTL of the past.
YES to Nealfire flashbacks. I would think we’d get some with Dylan (and soon seeing as he is growing up quickly). But I’m dying to know how he got out of NL.

KeymasterSo that’s everyone right? Emma, Snow, Charming, Regina, Rumple, Belle, Hook, and now Neal? (I’m assuming Henry as well but I don’t remember if we saw his name anywhere or not and couldn’t find what I was looking at the other day for the list, grr). Sounds like all the core people that are well-loved (and don’t have new shows of their own…) are all back for S3! Can’t wait to see how this massively dysfunctional family gets along.
Yes, Henry was listed. That’s everyone.
