I get the feeling that magic is stronger in NL than it was in SB and maybe in FTL. I still thinking about the last one.

Which leaves Blue as the only character older that we know of yet, though someone in Neverland could still outdate her.

I wonder if Peter has been around as long her. Right now she’s out least favorite plot device, but I’d love to see her actually have something to do with…well, anything.

That episode…yeah. I’m always surprised to remember that episode was written by Jane Espenson. Her stuff is always so strong (for EVERYTHING the woman writes. I look at the tv I love and I swear it’s like I’ve been following her career). I think that episode just turned people off for some reason. And then to follow with Tiny didn’t help. Manhattan, my favorite of the season, didn’t pull in the numbers ABC was hoping for even though it was probably the biggest of the season until last night.

I do want her to be her own character and not just Rumple’s girlfriend, which is why I think a lot of people have issues with her this season.

also, fellow Rumbeller, I just want you to know that my new avatar and siggy make me emotional and looking at them hurts. 😥 I’m a masochist.

As far as we know it does have magic. I think they will have their magic, the question is how will it work. Magic works differently in different place.

I do think we’ll see a childhood Regina story. I think they want to bring back Young Cora, so I bet we’ll get a young Regina.

Ok, if Hook never set foot on land then he wouldn’t be bound by the curse, right?

Bae was bound by it, but if Peter needs Henry and has the gift of sight like the Seer, then he would have to let Bae go at the right time back to our land where he could meet Emma.

    Emma: So you know Hook?

Neal: It’s a long story. Short version, is this world wasn’t my first stop when I left home.

    Emma: No?

Neal: If it was, I’d be a couple hundred years old by now.

    You’re right.

I think a few things will help:

    1) refocusing on the regulars : which A and E have said is what they want to do for S3

    2) This is up to ABC but they’ve got to sort out the hiatus situation. Last year, nothing could hurt ONCE. And they assumed the same would be true this year but the story was vastly more complicated and casual viewers stopped tuning in. I want 11 episodes all in a row leading up to the winter break, then a three month break for ONCE:WL and the Olympics then come back in March and give us 11 straight episodes until the finale. I think that will help

    3) They need to promote the DVDs like crazy. Netflix will help. People can get caught up.

So my run-away train of thought is (because flying could be cheesy), that once you get close to NL, you are in the Pan’s domain and he can do nasty things to you (like rip your shadow) and that most of Hook’s crew are dead. He sacrificed them in a fight to rescue Bae, only to find out the Pan had let Bae go (for the prophecy). Then he told Hook about Belle and the Queen, and sent him on. Because he had forseen Hook bringing Rumpelstilkin to him on his ship (but of course, he doesn’t tell Hook that).

So here’s the one problem I have with this. You and I may have discussed this before when I’v mentioned (I lose track of who says what…) but you’re right in that Hook left NL before the Curse and was in FTL when the Curse hit. However, from the information presented thus far, Bae was still in NL at the time of the Curse and did not arrive on our shores until 1991.

Do we know for sure that either Neal or Hook have said they’ve been alive for 100’s of years versus we’re just assuming they spent centuries in NL because of no time travel?

From the quote in The Queen is Dead that everyone now hates, Bae tells Emma that this world wasn’t his first stop when he left home and if it had been, he’d be a few centuries old. If he’s a few centuries old (I’m thinking he exaggerated for effect and is really only about 200) then Rumple and Hook are as well.

What if the doors in Jefferson’s hat represent books. Whatever ‘door’ you go through, it’s really like opening the book of that particluar story – regardless of what time you are in, you go through the door/book. – you are in the time the book is set in.

Kinda like the Neverending Story where the story continue even when you aren’t reading? And then you can enter where the story itself is in its own telling? (The last part may not be from the Neverending Story, it’s been many years since I saw that…)
