KeymasterThe only issue I have with it is that if they jump a few months there’s issues with that rotten T word again.
I’m going to propose something that will make people’s head hurt but let’s see where it goes.
SB is set a few months into the future with Bae returning to to SB and discussing MAP with Belle and helping her get to NL with him to find Henry and Rumple and Emma.
NL is set a few months in the PAST, right when the ship enters the portal. The first half of the season is split timewise. The JR crew learning about NL over the course of a few months, while Bae and Belle run the town eventually get to where the JR crew is, both phsyically and time wise. But what I mostly got out of the podcast was Rumple just needs hugs.
I VOLUNTEER! I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE!

KeymasterIt didn’t work right. Yeah, it worked and he was able to bring back his brother (and later Daniel in SB), but they weren’t really themselves. They were evil. Since a heart is generally considered a thing of goodness, perhaps a shadow being considered a thing of evil will bring back someone as a good version of themselves?
Twisted. I like it.
ETA: And I think Pan is trying to bring himself back from the curse of the Dark One/whatever the shadow is. He was a child, thus he needs a child to bring himself back. Generally, most children are still fairly innocent/naive because they are generally born pure of heart. Perhaps because Henry is descended from both light and dark magic and has been influenced by both his whole life, maybe his little sense of darkness will be enough to bring Peter back as fairly good?
Nice, because as far as we know the Shadow has only ever taken children from London, where I doubt many children are born from fairy tale parents and have been influenced by magic.

Yes, that’s gonna be really challenging to do Neal with MAP with Sarah Bolger and Jamie Chung committed to new shows. I’m reminded here of the trouble I’ve read the writers of House MD had when plotting season 8: how to address the finale of season 7, which involved a character that was not going to be able to appear in the premiere because the actress who portrayed her called it quits. They had to fast forward a few months to curb it.
Oh that’s right. I suppose they could do something similar? Maybe a few months into the future, Neal comes back to SB. (I’m becoming convinced that the first half of the season will be Bae and Belle trying to get to NL from SB and if they do it together, then Rumple gets both his people back at the same time, plus it gives Bae and Belle time to bond) While in SB, Bae explains to Belle about MAP, whom he met while in FLT and how they helped him. Since Belle already knows Mulan this would be a nice bonding point for for Belle and Bae. So instead of seeing it, given how busy Jamie and Sarah will be, Bae just rehashes his time in FTL.

Did they say exactly how the mermaids were cursed?
I don’t know if the mermaids are cursed or if they are a curse. Hook said he saved Bae from the curse of the mermaids, and to me this was a reference to the legend that mermaids are not good people but will drag sailors down to the depths to their death.

I was hoping to know Aurora’s story but maybe they aren’t going to do that what a bummer
Her backstory? Now that Sarah’s new show has been picked up, I sort of doubt it. Unless they have her explain her backstory in dialogue in S3 since we’ll obviously be seeing her again next season.

The MAP stuff sounds like it’ll be season 3 which confuses me because I thought the actors had scheduling conflicts but when they’re talking about Phillip escaping the wraith they say that for the details you’ll have to tune into season 3. Maybe more the tail end of season 3, we’ve got other stuff to do first.
Jamie and Sarah have both been picked up for tv shows for the fall. Jamie was so busy she couldn’t actually be on set, which is why Mulan was wearing her helmet. I hope they keep whatever they need to tell about MAP very short. Like…super short. The trio was never my favorite and I’d like their story wrapped up right quick. That was a shock of last night: we got 10 seconds of them and I thought we’d come full circle and end their story.

NO TIME TRAVEL. Neal landed in present day FTL
Sorry, I don’t get this do you mean the 1st six months he was in present day FL then NL ❓
I mean he is currently in present day FTL. He did not time travel back in time to FTL of the past. When MAP found him, it was present time.

KeymasterPerhaps a shadow is what is needed to revive the dead?
ETA: In that maybe that’s why Frankenstein’s experiment in LWC didn’t work.
It worked once he had a magical heart, or do you mean something else?
If a shadow does revive the dead, who is Peter wanting to bring back? Given what this show does, I’d say a parent…
