I need A and E to tell me what they mean when they say “time is linear” because obviously things and people can move through time and space. We saw it with the apple and Rumple said as much in the Return when he’s talking to August (when he think he’s Bae).

I just want you to know, that ever since you left, ever since you crossed the barriers of time and space, in every waking moment

So what does it mean that time is linear but then they also say that there is no time traveling.
It could be that FTL is less developed by 1900 as our world is, therefore Bae doesn’t move in time so much as he goes to a more developed universe. (Fringe anyone? The parallel universe was more advanced in some areas)

I know Rumple is the first marker on your timeline, but do you think you should put the BF on there first since she’s supposed to be the original power?

We don't know at which point in the episode this happens. It's been said that the prophecy of Rumple's undoing will play this season, and I can't be the only one thinking its twist is that it's about Greg and Tamara forcing Rumple to choose between his life or his grandson's. In this scenario, I can see Rumple finding a way to save both him and Henry as well as giving Tamara a death we won't forget.

Good point. I’ll remain skeptical but if Rumple does off her…I’ll cheer just as loudly as the rest of you. 😀

Yes, if Lacey’s intentions aren’t honorable as BAMF pointed out (and you could be 100% correct because she knows it’s what he wants and he did just tell her that he could keep her young forever) then TLK won’t work because it’s not true for Lacey (and honestly, I don’t think it’s true for Gold either. I don’t think he’s in love with Lacey, I think he is enjoying what being with her means, i.e: power). Which means we gotta resort to some other way of getting Belle back.
Slurpeez and a few others think it could be healing Chip and having her drink from the well.

Haven’t had a chance to read through everyone’s comments but my current theory (prompted by PriceofMagic in another thread) is that the shadow isn’t “evil” but rather very immature and wants friends. He also doesn’t want to lose these friends so he doesn’t let them leave.

There is a lot of religious language used by Tamara when she talks about her mission, so I do think the Home Office has taken on some sort of cult like qualities. I don’t think they’ll make them out right Christians or any other institutionalized religion because I think that’s a good way to lose viewers who might be offended, but you guys might be on to something about the Home Office stretching back even further than the Darlings.

Item 1- Are “Dearies” a thing? Because I am interested and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

It’s what I hear most often for the fans of Rumple. No newsletter, but we do eat a lot of cookies.

Like Cora, Lacey seemed drawn to magic for it could do for her. Cora wanted power and to make her enemies kneel before her. Lacey wants to be young forever (though the fact that she wants that so she can be with Rumple forever made my heart bleed and yell “Belle is still in there somewhere!”)
In the live chat on Sunday someone said about Lacey and Rumple “this is what a relationship with Cora would have looked like.” Both Cora and Lacey think Rumple is man who shouldn’t let anything stand in his way, they are drawn to his power and his darkness and they encourage it. Rumple harasses Whale simply because he looked at Lacey and in order to prove to Lacey how dark he is, Whale ends up with a face full of boot.
And you’re right. Belle isn’t a person who has a lot of wants. She wants Rumple to be honest with her. Even if that honesty is, “right now I need magic because I’m a coward and I need to find my son because I’ve made horrible mistakes.” She just want him to be honest. Sometimes I think there is a misconception that Belle wants Rumple to give up his magic altogether, but I don’t agree. I think Belle wants him to be honest about it, about what magic does to him and why he needs it.

This may not add anything new, but here’s my thought on the matter.
The promo shows Regina struggling to contain the explosion from the fail safe gem. She also says something to the effect of “I can't contain this much longer” or something. Well no, maybe *she* can't, but perhaps with a little help…
Cue Rumple to the rescue. Perhaps he makes the choice not to run off with Lacey (he can retain his memories outside of Storybrooke and Lacey already lost hers) but instead to save Storybrooke because of Henry and maybe a little bit of “YOU DID WHAT TO MY BAE!!????”
So perhaps Regina can't contain the explosion, but the two of them can? It would make a great parallel to when Gold and Regina were blocking the portal earlier this season. And goodness knows we like our parallels.

Maybe this drains him of his Dark One curse/powers somehow. Of course, I wonder if Lacey would in fact be interested in him if she knew he couldn’t grant her immortality etc. Angst angst angst

I like this, but if I may add something? What if it's three people who control the explosion? Or rather, three people involved in all this. While Rumple and Regina are controlling the explosion (and him losing his powers..I like it), Emma is using her own magic to send everyone in SB to the EF. Rumple and Regina can't control the explosion forever, but they give Emma enough time to get everyone home. I still really think SB is going to go bye bye.

As Snow told Charming–you can have more than one (grandmother).

What if that woman in the picture is say her father’s side, but her maternal grandmother is Wendy?

Totally didn’t think of that. Nice catch.

I just feel like if they were going to make a big deal out of her grandmother, with whom she is probably very close–to the point that she carries a pic of her, the grandmother would be someone significant in another way.
