KeymasterMy theory for the longest time was that it was the BF and August. I still think August could be involved because he may have come back to America at some point (I know I know..it’s a stretch) but it’s looking less likely for the Blue Fairy.
If it is another fairy tale character involved here my possibilities:
–White Rabbit (for reasons 😆 )
–The Pied Piper??[adrotate group="5"]"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"RumplesGirl

SOOOO…do they take Neal's body on the JR? Do they suddenly suspect that he is not truly dead and going to NL is both to save Henry AND to find Neal's spirit? Because the alternative is that they leave his body behind in SB where we think the fail safe is going to go off.
Okay. I had a moment to think of a possible scenario. Everyone thinks Neal is dead, but Emma and Snow remember that Mulan and Aurora heard from Cora that they could rescue Philip's soul. They make sure Neal's body is taken care of, and it doesn't decay, since he's not really dead. The failsafe trigger gets activated, and everyone races out of a vanishing SB via the magical beans. However, instead of killing everyone, the rest of SB residants get sent back to the EF. In S3, Neal's soul is reunited with his body. Crazy, I know.
I like it but something is going to have to be “off” about the death in order for them to think that there is more to his “death.” like it has to be a magical death in order for them think there is a possibility that he is “alive” which makes me think that his death has something to do with the fail-safe. That part of the consequence of him trying to turn off the failsafe is that his spirit is taken to FTL

Too me there has never been a love triangle, people just see what that want to see or wish to happen when nothing is really there. ❗ I too will be so glad when we get rid of Hook so this sillness stuff of shipping people will stop and we can actually all move on and watch the show without people harping on Emma and a Hook connection good grief. 😡
To be fair to the CS’ers, there is something between Emma and Hook. For me, the most genuine Hook has ever been was toward the end of Tallahassee when he says “Look into my eyes, Swan. Have I lied to you?” I think he honestly would have been on her side and helped her. I do think there is something to explore there because I don’t see Hook as just a “dark” character.
Also, Hook isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. He’s going to be around for a long time and I think he should be, even if I don’t find him as compelling as some fans do. He does have a story that will be interesting."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"RumplesGirl
KeymasterNeal’s back story will be a major focal point in “Second Star to the Right” (airing Sunday) and “And Straight on ‘Til Morning” (airing May 12), which will delve into Neverland as the episode titles indicate. (Watch an extended preview of “Second Star to the Right.”)
“These guys are master storytellers, [co-creators] Adam [Horowitz] and Eddy [Kitsis], and you can expect that that quality continues. By the season finale, when they roll the credits, the dust is going to have settled on certain things but other things are going to have a big boom,” actor Michael Raymond-James tells The Hollywood Reporter.
Raymond-James talks Emma (Jennifer Morrison), Tamara (Sonequa Martin-Green), Henry (Jared Gilmore) and Neal’s history with Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) in previewing the final season two episodes. The Hollywood Reporter: When you first joined, did you know how integral Neal would be to the Once Upon a Time story?
Michael Raymond-James: When [Eddy and Adam] explained to me how they wanted to do the reveal (that Neal was Henry’s father and Gold was his), it was the idea of Neal walking around Manhattan with no explanation as to why. They wanted the audience to be like: “Are we watching the right f—ing show? Wait a second! Who and what is happening?!” They pitched me the whole arc of who Baelfire was for this season and I was hooked.
THR: “Manhattan” was a huge turning point for Neal/Baelfire. How did that episode kick off the rest of your character’s journey?
Raymond-James: It was one of my favorite episodes this season for my character. It’s an intense episode. To say it was shocking to Neal would be an understatement. Emma and Neal have unfinished business and there’s a lot of hurt there. That was the first time they were seeing each other since — as far as she’s concerned — she was left holding the bag, literally, and sent to prison. There was a lot that she didn’t know that Neal couldn’t exactly explain to her. This is still the woman that Neal loves so I have to protect her in any capacity that I can; if that means he has to suck it up and look into his father’s eyes for the first time in years then so be it. Robert Carlyle (Mr. Gold/Rumpelstiltskin) summed it up best: “It’s sort of like waiting for a bus to come and you’ve been waiting all day and all of a sudden four of them show up at the same time.” That’s kinda what it felt like.
THR: To say that the family tree is complicated is an understatement. How do you keep track of all the connections?Raymond-James: This family tree is a f—ing wreath man! You’re not going to quiz me are you? [Laughs] It’s incredibly complicated. You really do have to draw a map with lines and pictures and it starts to look like an FBI manhunt.
THR: Viewers are aware of Tamara’s double-dealing, but Neal isn’t. Will his perspective on her change by the end of the season?
Raymond-James: Emma continues down the road of trying to wake Neal up. She has suspicions that are clearly founded — but she doesn’t have hard facts yet — and she’ll continue to try to convince Neal. Neal’s going to struggle with being able to accept that.
THR: What’s the likelihood of Neal and Emma getting back together?
Raymond-James: My take is that nothing is off the table. What I mean by that is that it’s all on the table, anything can happen. These are two people who care deeply about each other and they have a complex history but they also share a child and they have those unresolved feelings and issues that they haven’t been begun to address. Anything can happen. They could end up together or they could end up friends who co-parent together or not. It could go any number of directions. I would get in a lot of trouble if I narrowed it down.
THR: How has Neal finding out that Henry is his son affected him?
Raymond-James: Neal was a bit of a rudderless ship for a long time and the thing he coveted was family. It’s sort of like getting to the goal line, they move it another 100 yards. When he finds out he has a son, that immediately gives him a purpose that he was always looking for. It’s an opportunity for him to be the kind of father he always wanted. It had a huge impact on Neal and this is something that he doesn’t want to screw up. He so badly wants to be good at this, at being a father. He’s going to proceed cautiously with Henry’s best interest at heart. His single biggest motivation is his son.
THR: There is a lot of Internet speculation out there about who Bae may actually be, with Peter Pan being particularly popular.
Raymond-James: You know that song “Cashmere” by Led Zeppelin? [starts to sing] “All will be revealed!” It’s coming, it’s coming! We’re almost there. I think a lot of people’s questions are going to be answered this Sunday and some of those answers you’re going to get are going to lead to more questions, but that’s the fun of a show like this. It’s constantly unfolding. You gotta buy the ticket and take the ride.
THR: Also, what can you tease in terms of Bae and Hook’s connection?
Raymond-James: That it’s going to be really good. [Laughs] The wait isn’t much longer

KeymasterYeah, could be Philip’s case, where his body was left behind and just his spirit went elsewhere. So, maybe the Wraith comes into play.

TVLINE | There’s a “really big” twist coming up this week involving Rumple and Neal. What can you say about it? Is it going to be emotional gut-punch?
At PaleyFest, Bobby [Carlyle] called it a “game-changer,” and I think that this will certainly change the course of the path that they had previously entered on.Okay, back to the “game-changer.”

I read this analysis on Tumblr, which is think could really be the case. It’s Neal’s “death”. Has to be. That’s why Rumpel is right next to Emma & Henry when Henry is telling Emma the news. But maybe Rumpel will actually turn over a new leaf in the face of that? Quit any plans to harm Henry and face his “undoing”. Staying alive forever when there’s no way to get back to your kid is kind of pointless.
Neal is gone and Rumple thinks he’s really dead. He has no reason to keep living, except maybe saving Belle. Also, all he has left of his boy is Henry. Rumple would rather let himself be “undone” than harm his only living connection to Baelfire. Cue crying 😥You’re killing me here. 😥
But if there is no body would they think he is dead? Unless of course it’s just his spirit that goes to FTL."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"RumplesGirl
KeymasterPS: Are there any spare cookies around, RG? I could use some today and I think it’s showing. Sorry guys for the long rambles/rants! I am excited about the new info from MRJ, just tired of being jerked around between what they hype and what they used to hype / it’s contradictory-ness. :S
As official cookie supplier to this forum, there are always cookies around. *many cookies for many feels*

KeymasterTurns around and starts dating Tamara *smacks forehead*. Perhaps he really is like Rumple and is just good at making stupid mistakes at just the right time because he doesn’t believe he’s worthy.
I actually think this is exactly why he started dating Tamara. He even tells August that he doesn’t know if Emma will want to see him or forgive him. He got scared, really truly scared. Here was the moment he’s been thinking about for 10 years and (very much like this Papa) he turns and runs because what if she can’t forgive him? what if she doesn’t love him anymore?
They can’t be together right away because it would be the most unrealistic thing ever. It wouldn’t make sense, and I’m a SwanFire saying this. Two people with that much baggage do not just pick up where they left off: Rumbelle tried it, without really talking through their issues, without discussing his need for magic or his cowardice and it led to the episode The Crocodile. Belle had to walk away, Rumple had to open up, and then it was a slow build up to rekindling true love. If they had just snapped back together, I would have been really upset because it’s not how their love should work and I think the same is true of Swanfire. So bring on the CaptainSwan, I shall enjoy the inappropriate remarks and sexy tension."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"RumplesGirl
KeymasterSeveral LOST parallels have been made here

KeymasterI’ll hold out hope for Rumple, though not without trepidation. As for Lacey, I think she could get her memories back by drinking the water of Lake Nostos from her magically-repaired chipped cup. 😀
Well that is beautiful and poetic and made me squeeeee. Plus, if the well water does work, that would explain how Sneezy can get his memories back.
As to CS/SF: I’m a pretty big believer that before Swanfire can ever seriously happen (because I do think they’re end game) CS has to have it’s turn. I think Hook will help Emma open up again and be ready for a romantic relationship (sort of like Graham was) and I think Emma will help Hook see that he can love again after Milah. As for the Neal and Emma not being the same people they were 10 years ago, I think that’s a valid point. But I also think Emma searched for Neal for most of her life and that Neal waited for Emma for close to 10 years. I don’t think you hold onto something that intensely without knowing that it’s for real.
