KeymasterWhat happens with the witch story line hopefully will also be surprising. We will be seeing someone in episode 11, which is a reference we’ve never done before, which is from the Haunted Mansion.” (Crossing fingers for Madame Leota!)
Well, that’s certainly different.

KeymasterIf it’s not the Wish Realm then explain how everything that we have seen downy point to it being so.
so there’s no way they would be there as the aging would be really off.
Because the writers want it to be so. That’s really it. The writers have certain things they want to do–Belle dying, Robyn being 25 in order to have a relationship with Alice, Henry growing up, Regina, Emma and Hook looking the exact same as when Henry left home, ect–but they don’t want to puzzle it all out and make it comprehensible. They just wish it to be that way, so it is. Hence Regina’s telltale line in 7×10 about timelines.
Like so many questions on this show, it’s best answered with “PLOT”

KeymasterThe return of Tiger Lily is odd for a few reasons. First, it suggests that Henry and Tiger Lily have any sort of meaningful connection when what has been shown is the exact opposite. Did Henry (when played by Jared) even meet Tiger Lily?? Second, Tiger Lily’s reinsertion back into the story raises more questions than it answers about some of the logistics of the narrative. Like how on earth Henry got ahold to Tiger Lily; how she traveled to the New!EF; what she’s even capable of doing (she did next to nothing this episode); and why Henry turned to her over, say, his mother (in universe, not out of it).

Keymasterbecause Gothel will kill him if Regina doesn’t cooperate, or because the poison won’t continue to take effect in a Land Without Magic?
Pretty sure it’s the latter; they even say something like no one can stop the poison except in a Land Without Magic
So here’s my big question: why does Gothel even want this curse cast? If it was all to get Anastasia, then why couldn’t she stay in the New EF and get Ana there? What’s the point of moving realms? She had magic enough to put Ana into stasis and she knew how to wake up Ana in HH so…what’s the point??

KeymasterSo Robyn is apparently back. Why is she wearing a private school uniform? I thought she was supposed to be at least college age and in Amsterdam?
I don’t really understand why she’s wearing a private school uniform while WR!Hook is dressed in full on Hook clothes. And usually that red vest symbolizes the past so…suuuuper confused.

KeymasterWish Realm Hook giving up his relationship with Alice in HH so Lucy and Jacinda could have theirs.
It was a sweet moment but it feels so completely unearned, IMO. We saw no development of any sort of relationship between WR!Hook and any of the others. He was just sorta there working beside them for reasons in the previous flashbacks and jumping 8 yrs into the future robs us of all that development that would have made that moment more than just sweet.
-blood magic suddenly being able to be broken by family teamwork.
It’s like everything that used to be super important and almost impossible to break is now easily done away with by the most mundane of objects. Between your example and Zelena’s curse being broken by drinking a small amount of *something* I was rolling my eyes a lot.

Keymaster1) What was your favorite episode of S7A? Runner up?
Favorite: By far “Beauty.” What a heart wrenching and beautiful episode! Bobby and Emilie knocked it out of the park and even though it was brief and in flashback only, the fact that the writers shows that Rumple could let go of magic and the dagger for the love of his life….exactly what I’ve wanted for years!
Runner up: Wake Up Call
2) What was your least favorite episode of S7A? Runner up?
Least Favorite: “The Eighth Witch;” ye gods, what a mess. There was almost nothing I like about this episode and was mostly grinding my teeth through it all. It was a convoluted mess and apart from Alice and Drizella I find that I don’t like any of these new character or at least have no reason to be invested in them.
Runner up: A Pirate’s Life
3) We met a lot of new characters! Who was your favorite? Least favorite?
Alice is by a long mile my favorite. More Alice. Always. She is quirky, weird, but somehow sweet and interesting. I wish she was Rumple’s daughter instead of WR!Hook’s, though. She’s got the Stiltskin vibe to her. Also, I’m interested to see this relationship with Robyn. I hope the writers do it more justice than they did with RubySlippers.
Least Favorite: Jacinda! What a big BLAH she is. Cinderella honestly isn’t much better. I hate that they cast a Latina actress but aren’t actually incorporating any Latina culture, dress, ect. They just want her to be Latina so they can say “diversity!” Also, I try to be respectful of the actors on the show but the actress playing Jacinda, while not helped by the writing, does very little with the role that makes me even want to care about her.
4) Who do you miss the most from the first six seasons?
Honestly, I miss the town of Storybrooke the most. By the end, it did feel like a ghost town at times but it was small and quaint and charming. Hyperion Heights feels too sprawled and unlived in. It doesn’t have the same uniqueness that SB did.
5) What was your favorite moment of S7A? Least favorite?
Favorite: Probably Rumple throwing the dagger to the ground when Belle says she wants to build their house the old fashioned way. I honestly cried.
Least favorite: I dunno; any part of the winter finale I guess. Especially when magical MacGuffins rear their while-elephant-magic-from-a-witch-who-crushed-the-heart-of-the-thing-she-loved-most head.
6) What storyline would you change if you could?
I cut down on characters. We don’t need Nick and we honestly don’t need Treamine because she was just a red herring and while those are useful for misdirection, her story wasn’t satisfying enough to make it worth it, IMO. I would also ditch the whole “Eloise Gardener” aspect of Roger’s character.
7) What are you hoping for in S7B?
For the show to wrap up. I know that’s harsh but…it’s time. And I suppose barring that, I really just want the show to cut back on some of its destructive tendencies (too many characters, too many plots, too many twists that don’t make sense) and just focus on the characters and their lives.
8) Rate and/or grade S7A as a whole!
I’m torn between a C and a C-
There are bright spots but I don’t think they outweigh the bad.

KeymasterUntil the second part of the scene where Rumple pulled out the cup and gave it to Alice, I actually thought this version of Rumple was Wish Realm Rumple and not OUR Rumple. I was sooooo confused.

KeymasterWhat they should have done was leave Hades around and developed that romance instead of killing him off.
As someone who *really* enjoyed Hades and the Zades ship more than I thought I would, I am in agreement!

KeymasterSo the Witches are the True Big Bad? Still really confused as to who these 8 are?
