KeymasterHAS anyone heard any gossip …. Has Sean McGuire decided to take his family back home to England… has he gotten offers for better parts in movies and other shows? ( HE was in a movie last summer during the hiatus.) This has happened several times to other characters. Also characters who’s parts are side lined and have been boring; their actors look for other opportunities. (MJR & RED) ANY thoughts or information.
No gossip. It’s probably that A and E find Robin boring and don’t know how to make him more palatable.

KeymasterWe played a game called Once Upon a Time today. DSB literally played the following cards for a story:
Once upon a time…
There was an orphan
Who was happy
Because she fell in love
Until they parted ways.

KeymasterDon’t freak out guys, A&E said a character was going to be killed off, they didn’t say “a star” that was from the Blind item, which means it could be any other show killing off it’s “star”. And consequently, that the caracter A&E talked about could be any character in the show, such as Arthur …
For what it’s worth, A and E always say someone is going to die in the finale. They are usually referring to a no-name guard who bites it. It’s been this way since about S3.

KeymasterCarrie (DSB), Heather, and I all say hi from our current location and want everyone to know that after a three conversation analyzing the 512 scene, we don’t think MRJ and JMo were actually on a soundstage. (We finally had to go to bed because we’re emotionally damaged)
Jo’s on her way 🙂 Everyone have a good day!

Keymasterbut I don’t think OUAT’s team could ever hope to pull off something quite so radical, and not just because they don’t have the writing chops — but because it’s a family show and a Disney subsidiary.
Oh totally agree on that regard. They ain’t Neil Gaiman.

Let’s not get bogged down in the boring vs non-boring, please. There’s a thread specifically for the Spoiler of Doom that is more appropriate than our filming thread.

KeymasterI don’t think they should do stories that people don’t know in some way. That is the whole point of the show. To retell the stories we know. I
But how do you determine what people know and don’t know? And since most mythology is constructed out of basic archetypes then everyone knows the figures, if only be different names. For example: the Trickster character. You can pull in Loki who is probably very familiar to many in the audience either through myth readings or Marvel. But Loki is a trickster, same as, say, Anansi, Br’re Rabbit, the Coyote, or…Rumple to an extent.
I think sticking to just stories that have been Disney-i-fied is a huge mistake. The world is full of interesting myths and legends who’s themes and constructs are universal. And don’t the writers owe it to their fans to broaden their minds to the wider world?
