KeymasterQuestion: Will the ABC executive transition lead to the network cleaning house with limping dramas such as Castle, Nashville and maybe even Once Upon a Time? – Emily
Matt Roush: It’s inevitable that there will be significant changes in ABC’s lineup come fall, but the crystal ball is a bit cloudy because the new head of entertainment, Channing Dungey, was already in charge of the network’s drama development side, so she’ll likely have to sacrifice shows she was intimately involved in. Hard to imagine a perpetual bubble show like Nashville making the cut again, and Castle appears to be at or near the end of its rope, though ABC needs more mainstream procedural tentpoles like this on the schedule, so it could get one more reprieve (though whether it deserves it in another matter), depending on the talent. Once Upon a Time is probably safe for now, in part because of its tie-in with popular Disney fantasy brands and the stability it brings to a transitioning Sunday lineup. Hard to say how this shake-up may affect ABC’s successful family-comedy brand. You might see it go broader, and we obviously will have seen the last of The Muppets after next week’s finale.

KeymasterSeasons 1-3 it felt like she was incredibly Sneaky, not necessarily evil so much as she had some larger plan (like her and the fairies final preparations before the original curse hit has always been suspect). Hence Sneaky Fairy is Sneaky. But now it’s more like she’s very under developed and that with every passing season, she is made more powerless, more ineffiecient, and more useless. Her powers can’t match any villain-of-the-arc powers and she’s not helpful in any meaningful way.

Keymaster[mod] Everyone play nice. Please do disrespect anyone’s forum ideas, threads, and so forth. But also, please do not bump very old threads simply to bump them, especially when they have nothing to do with the current arc, story and your post has nothing to do with the thread itself [/mod]

KeymasterI wonder if there will be a permanent death.
If there is, it’s probably not a big cast member. They tend to a kill a guard every year or something.

KeymasterI am still wanting them to go to the evil fairies that have been playing a long game the entire series, but i don’t know how they do that. They would have to rewrite that because the initial incident surrounding all that had to do with Bae being given the bean. I guess they just have Rumpel react to that information rather then what it could have been.

KeymasterLast Rites–when spelled like that–usually have a death conotation, last funerary rights. So it’s a Hades centric, most def. Along with the (probably) Zeus casting.

KeymasterI don’t think they need to have a Underworld backstory or at least not a separate one. I think they could just show how Zelena knows Hades and that will be enough. I don’t care about Hades or anything to do with his past that doesn’t have to do specifically with the main characters of the show.
Yeah but you know how much OUAT love it’s family drama. And you just know that the writers won’t pass up the opportunity to show Zeus as the older brother who got everything good–Olypmus–and forced his poor suffering baby brother into the Underworld to rule thus “this is how Hades became Hades.” I think that’s why Hades has been keeping an eye on Zelena; he thinks they are alike–their sibling got everything they didnt.
