KeymasterI thought it was “Friend of Dorothy”, and it wasn’t derogatory, it was a term that the gay community will use to identify themselves in a positive, unifying light, because Judy Garland became such an icon for them?
Yes this is correct. And also because the character of Dorothy was so accepting of everyone she met.

KeymasterI wonder if they have two endings for 522—one where they get renewed; and one where they don’t. Just in case.

KeymasterThe writers could have easily addressed this by having Hook’s body taken to the Underworld by Charon, rather than burying his corpse in Storybrooke.
I forgot that his body is buried in SB! So wait…what is the *plan* ??? Why are we going to the Underworld at all?! Emma’s going to find his soul, and then how is she going to get him out of there? If all she needs to do is split her heart then just split the heart in SB.
I….I….I need a drink

Keymasterbut the Underworld is not hell — it’s sort of an in-between place and it’s a place that’s filled with people with unfinished business, and that’s what we’re going to be exploring
*sigh* *rubs head* What….mythology book are they reading? That sounds like Purgatory which is pretty specific to one tradition. They are calling it the Underworld, complete with Greek heroes, and (probably) Hades. So…all the pieces for a Greek Underworld is there but this isn’t really the Greek Underworld.
And then, he thought he would never seen her again, he thought he would have to die that day and be sent to the Underworld a place that does not have good memories or good people waiting for him and so it became a crime of opportunity where he saw a way out.
Too bad none of that is expressed in your text! Stop telling! Start showing!
Fans online were making a big deal saying that the sword scene was very similar to an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Had you realized the similarities when you were plotting the story?
EK: Had we realized it when we were plotting the story? Probably not. Have we realized it post? Yes, but we felt that although they are similar, we were trying to pay off that Emma couldn’t let Hook go and then had to and that was kind of their arc together.…..
*looks at writing credits for OUAT for the past five year* ‘Sup Jane Espenson. How you doin’? you didn’t bother pointing out that the show you formerly worked on (and was a HUGE cultural hit) did something y’know…just like this?
EK: No, what happened was, here’s the complicated math: Hook was going to use Excalibur to harness all the darkness from every Dark One that came back including Emma and himself and then put it into the sword. Emma was going to stab him and therefore and therefore he was going to absorb all that darkness and then when he died, the darkness would die and that’s what they believed. But what they didn’t know was that Rumple stole it. So while Hook thought that he was blowing up the darkness, Rumple kind of siphoned all of it for himself.
If you need to sit and explain the “complicated math” of the big climax of your story, your story doesn’t make sense. Also, I have no idea what Eddy is saying here. I still don’t get what Rumple did. Or why they didn’t use the hat. Or how Rumple has the dagger when Excalibur crumbled.
AH: And actually just given the timeline of our show, I don’t think that is physically possible for her to have a another child [at this point.]
*blinks*
You don’t understand Human Gestation and Procreation, do you Adam. There have been two 6 weeks jumps (in between 4A and 4B and the time in Camelot) making Baby Snowflake at least 12 weeks old or three months. He’s probably a bit older because of the time between 320 (birth) and the beginning of 4A, so we’ll say 3.5-4ish months. Women can get pregnant *VERY* soon after giving birth. So….whatchu talking ’bout Horowitz.
EK: Yes, they are in the care of the Blue Fairy daycare!
Because “screw parenthood! and who cares if the parents possibly die and leave their children as orphans! The pirate must be saved, yo.
*drinks*
What happened to the Camelot characters and when will those stories be resolved?
EK: I think that they’re still in Storybooke and perhaps we will give closure to them at the end of the year. They’re still kind of hovering around and that’ll be something we get to at another time. They’re on pause.Perhaps?! PERHAPS!?
Lawd. Give me strength.

KeymasterHer plan is to split her heart and share half of it with Hook. Yet, as we saw with Snow and Charming, Regina shoved half of Snow’s heart into Charming’s lifeless body; there was no need to retrieve Charming’s soul from the Underworld in order to resurrect him.
That’s a really good point. Maybe it’s because Hook was the Dark One at the time so his soul went to the Underworld automatically.
Or …PLOT. Of course it’s PLOT.

As you can see, overall we only dropped -.4 from start to finish. That’s actually pretty good for a drama show; for example “Empire” is probably the biggest network drama on TV right now. This season it started at a 6.7 and ended with a 4.5, which is a loss of -2.2. Obviously a much larger drop, but still very high because it started so high. Dropping -.4 would be more acceptable if we had started so high, but it’s worth mentioning that OUAT didn’t drop right off the bat; it took a full 10/11 episodes to drop to the low. It falls over a longer period of time which means for 5B–if that trend continues–the numbers will only be lowest at the end (AKA: we’re getting renewed).

KeymasterI want to say this is a rip-off, but then again, this is a show where around 10 characters over the course of the series have been original ones.
This particular bent on Dorothy, though feels too Emerald City to be coincidental. Especially since EC is coming out fairly soon (actually….April 15, 2016…so right around episode 515/516, probably when Dorothy is coming back)
